Great location and excellent hotel.

We were given a voucher for 20% off 2 drinks at the bar. We presented the voucher at checkout for our discount off our bar bill but it was refused because it wasn’t presented at the time of ordering the drinks. No need for this silly rule and puts us off ever rebooking. What a shame for such a small thing.

The comfort of the room and good nights sleep. It is close to the metro. Complimentary mini bar. Fluffy bath robes.

These are only tiny things: the pumps on the amenities bottles in the bathroom didn’t work. The water tank on the coffee machine was grotty and the hot water for tea was to come from that, although I asked for a kettle instead for ease. The English Breakfast tea bags were not topped up although I kept getting them via reception and were in the bin so housekeeping could see. The towel rack is too far away from the shower ( as someone who comes from the tropics ) I just wanted to grab my towel because it was freezing - this is a design issue with the bathroom. I also wanted the heater / towel heater but couldn’t get them to work. Although it was summer, it was cold but I could have asked if it was that important :)

Our suite was beautiful -- spacious, clean and comfortable. The front desk staff was helpful, friendly and professional. The pool and surrounding gardens are a huge bonus, and having the lake and walking paths outside the door was wonderful. The free shuttle up to Lausanne is conveniently located across the street. The Chateau is a special place. Highly recommended.

Switzerland is outrageously expensive, and the restaurant at the Chateau is no exception, which is unfortunate because it prevented us from dining there. We had to call housekeeping each day to have our room cleaned, but when housekeeping finally did arrive they did an excellent job. The Chateau is situated near a large open area where late-night concerts are common. We would have liked being warned about this -- we barely slept the first two nights!

The location is amazing in so many ways: proximity to metro and many cafes, but the BEST THING is being right on the water, directly on the promenade, which is delightful. The water is crystal clear in this location, near a bathing/sunbathing platform installed by the city, which we used. It was late June and we were able to swim in Lac Leman. The room was EXTREMELY clean. The linens were so crisp and comfortable that I checked to see who made them (and to buy some for myself), and they are designed and provided by a company called Bardusch, that is also responsible for disinfecting them in scientifically controlled facilities (as they also do for hospitals0. NO GERMS on these sheets, for sure! The bathroom was spotless. We also liked the coffee maker with ecological coffee capsules (not disposable aluminum ones). In fact, much thought is given to ecological touches. The interior design was elegant, classic, somewhat minimalist, yet with visually warm touches, such creams and tans rather than a stark white. There is nice woodwork too. Our room 202 was PERFECT in every way.

The hotel was full, due to conferences. So that may explain why we would ask for something, but then have to ask again, as the staff seemed to forget our requests. We did not mind though because our awesome room (no. 202) was just fantastic.

Beautiful hotel with so many stunning architectural features and an amazing location right by the lake. Our room had a balcony with lake view which was absolutely gorgeous. The staff were excellent and very helpful. The room was beautifully decorated, spacious and the bed was super comfortable. The air conditioning was a welcome relief after several days in mountain lodges in Jungfrau! The swimming pool and spa was such a beautiful extra and the overall vibe was very laid back and relaxed chic. A great experience and we are already planning a return trip in December.

-The room was very clean and modern with strong AC -Breakfast was good -We got upgraded at check-in and the room we got was very spacious -Staffs were helpful -I love the body wash and body lotion offered! High quality with nice scent

-We stayed in a lake view room on the 1F but the view was partially blocked by the trees. It was still nice but could be better if you stay on higher levels. -Not the hotel’s issue but the birds at the breakfast site were quite annoying -A bit pricey

Room was big, bed, matrasse and pillows very comfy. The Hotel is located at a beautiful spot, there is a lot of opportunities for a walk, child playgrounds etc. Breakfast had a big choice and variety, tasted very well, however, I think 39 Francs per person is still a bit high. The hotel has a pool/billiard next to the lobby, my husband and I enjoyed a lot to play that in the evenings. The barmen are very attentive and the Gin selection was very good. We would come again

The service at breakfast was a bit slow/understaffed. Prices for breakfast were a bit high.

Great location, right next to Metro train, bus lines, and boat dock, and right on the lake shore. Room was great size, clean, updated, very comfortable. Also a chance to experience some history of the building itself. Want to call out Elisa, an employee at the sister hotel, 'Angleterre & Résidence', who had a HUGE positive impact on our trip. Last day in Switzerland, we spent long day out and about and went to Chateau front desk to ask about a computer to check in and print boarding passes for the next days flights out. The person there said such was not available at the Chateau, but to go a block up to their sister hotel and use theirs. Went there, and Elisa said their PC was very slow, and from what i saw, she was vastly understating the case. She came up with a workaround, to use the office iPad. So i did that (stupidly selected the wrong delivery method for the situation), but Elisa came up with a workaround for that as well. However the hotel network speed was such that printing could not happen immediately, so she told us she would print and deliver to our hotel’s front desk. 2 hours later she called to let us know it was finally printing and to assure us it would be there for us on check out the next day. Elisa had a raft of people to check in and get sorted on top on having to deal with us, but she did so with kindness and graciousness. And went WAY above and beyond for us. A big thank you to Elisa from a pair of very grateful hearts; i hope your boss is taking real good care of you, you are the kind of person any company would love to have on their team. However, to whomever made the boneheaded decision to underfund the hotels computer and networking budget….BOOO. You put myself and Elisa in that prediction needlessly. Maybe they should give your job to Elisa, i bet she’d have it sorted within the day…🤓

Location served us well. View of lake is spectacular. Bus (with complimentary pass) very convenient. Wonderful walking city if you’re okay with hills, bus is great.

Other people commented that they gave upgrades if available. Room was nice but smaller than expected. Person at the front desk said none available but we could talk with a manager. He didn’t ask for us or help us find the manager.

Elegantly renovated old castle. We had a room with a lake view as requested. Lift to the door. Staff were bery professional and the room lovely. No noise at night. Lovely pedestrian and cycle way along the lakefront. Ferry services almost at your door and metro to the rest of lausanne. Olympic museum short walk away Staff even organised chocolates for my birthday Easy parking for next tour guide to pick us up at the door.
