Lovely hotel very quiet

No bar or food on Sundays

➕good quality/price ratio, even taking into account the hotel is not among the most affordable ones ➕Location is perfect to frequently travel by train, as it is literally across the street from the station ➕friendly and helpful staff ➕comfortable bed and pillows ➕spacious bathroom with very comfortable shower cabin ➕nice view over a roof terrace across the street

➖the street next to the railway station is busy with tram, (trolley-)bus and car traffic, lots of people around clock etc. To cut out the noise, you have to keep all the windows closed at night (my room faced the street, there may be others facing the yard) ➖although the air conditioner was excellent in terms of noisiness (much quieter than in most hotels), it could not, even at the fastest vent. speed and lowest temp. setting, cool the (spacious!) room down below some 22-23 degrees ➖breakfast is good, but not "great" as advertised. It's the same food every day, and both mornings I only saw a badge "Süssgebäck" (sweet pastry), but there was no pastry. All in all, it was a good 3-star breakfast, but not 4-star.

The staff is the best! Especially the ladies from the breakfast buffet. The breakfast is amazing.

The room was tiny for a 4 stars hotel and we were not asked if we needed any amenity, so we had to ask for them which was annoying (slippers, shoe-shine, shower cap). A quick « do you need amenities?” during check-in would have solved the issue. A picture of all available amenities during the check-in would have been even better. I understand they are eco-friendly but that made us uncomfortable and it gives an image that they are trying too hard to cut costs. The location of the towel hanger, under the sink, is not practical.

Everything was very good at this hotel. The room was spacious and clean with a nice view of the area in front of the train station. The beds were very comfortable and the shower was good. Breakfast was good with a wide selection of foods and coffee. The staff was very helpful throughout our stay. The location was perfect for exploring the city to include proximity to the old city. There are many shops and restaurants nearby. The Mobility Ticket that was included with our room was a nice bonus!

Parking worked out for us. However, it was limited and could not be reserved. Public parking was nearby if needed. Like many European hotels in city center, getting around the bus and taxi lanes to the hotel entrance and parking required some navigation agility. We've lived in Europe for several years, and we have learned to deal with it. Once there, the hotel staff directed us to our parking spot.

The hotel exceeded my expectations! The location is absolutely convenient just opposite the train station and 200m from the start of the market area! Staff were nice but not exceptional, maybe a bit lack of understanding non swiss cultures. Though the room is fantastic, spacious, clean, modern with big windows and nice WC. I definetly recommend it and I have paid a very competitive price via the app compared to swiss hotel prices.

A great hotel overall. The facilities are very modern, the rooms sufficiently large, soundproof, and generally very clean, and the staff is always friendly. The location cannot be beaten in St. Gallen. The breakfast buffet looked awesome, although I didn't eat at the hotel.

The shower could've been a bit cleaner (a few hairs and some minor black spots in there). Also, one towel rail, as well as some sort of dispenser next to the toilet were broken. The bed was two twin beds combined, which left a gap in the middle that wasn't very comfortable.
