For the price of probably even cheaper than a shared dorm or bunk bed in many hostels and goest houses, you get a private single room with private bath, what's not to like! Plus it's located at the junction of the two main MRT metro lines so you have easy access to many tourist spots. The Liuhe Night Market is also just a few minutes walk away. I'd say this is a great option for budget travelers and backpackers.

The building and facilities are rather outdated and old. But for the price, I have no complaints. My room didn't have a fridge which the front desk had informed me. I assume the cheaper rooms have no refrigerator so keep that in mind if you might be buying something that needs it.

Upgraded us to a very large room! Plenty of room and large bathroom. TV and hairdryer. Reception staff friendly. Located right on the Formosa Boulevard MRT station for real easy of getting around. Asked if happy, please leave a top review to get a freebie icecream, which I did happily as it was a good stay. This was not mentioned again after check in so not pressurised.

Stayed on 7th floor and had a noise at night that I couldn't work out what it was. Sounded like outside but attached to the building, maybe something loose, weird!

Good value for two nights stay in Kaohsiung. Once we arrived at the hotel we asked to check the room first because my boyfriend and me had problems with smoke and dust, so the girls at the reception showed us a better room and they upgraded it for free. The room was spacious, no smell of smoke so we appreciated it. The window was not that big but quite ok for us. Just next to Formosa Boulevard MRT station nr.1exit.

The girls at the reception are asking a 5stars rating if you want a cup of coffee/drink from the machine at the hotel entrance. No boiler inside the room so that I couldn’t make coffee on my own, but in general was a good stay. The room was not cleaned even if we asked for the cleaning service, but it was not a big problem for a two-nights stay.

I liked how they offered free ice cream if we give a google review. The location is really great. Very convenient! Good food nearby too. Really good for value considering how cheap the room is. The room was clean too.

It would have been nice if the staff didn’t forget to send up our water on one of the nights when we requested for it on call. Also, the lights weren’t really bright enough in the room. There also wasn’t a window so ventilation was not great.

Location. Smack right in the heart of the city. A minute walk to the most beautiful subway station with light shows and amazing painted glass ceilings. The underground food court has a wide range of selection and one does not have to go elsewhere if you are staying for 3 days. They even have a self service laundry room and you can get detergents from the reception. Not the most advanced washing machine and dryer but it does the job.

I get what I pay for. It is not the newest hotel in the city. Some will be very irritated with the noisy plumbing coming from upstairs but I'm somewhat ok with that.

It's really close to the Lio̍k-ha̍p Night Market, so it's very convenient. It's also really close to the MRT Formosa Boulevard Station, where you can take both the Red and Orange lines, very convenient. They said they upgraded my room, because the room I originally booked was unavailable.

Maybe it was because I chose to pay at the property, and that I told them I was checking in between 10pm and 11pm, they weren't sure if I was actually going to show up, so when I actually arrived, they said they still needed time (30 min) to prepare my room.

Location was fantastic, just steps from the MRT and big night market. Staff was welcoming and friendly. Bike friendly property will you take your bike to your room or store in basement. Upgraded me to a larger room.

Room was pretty dusty in places, but bed was clean. TV remote was missing the battery cover so I had to hold the batteries in. For this price though, cheaper than a hostel, I really have no real complaints.

There was a strange problem The staff told me that the reservation was NOT for the whole night but only for 3-4 HOURS...!!! I had to pay like 50% more for having the room all night. Nevertheless, my reswrvation didn't say anything like that. It said from check in time ar 4pm until check-out time next day. . I believe a mistake of Booking.com

Best thing about this place is the location, just straight out of exit 1 Formosa station and a few mins walk to the Liouhe night market. Room was cheap and quite clean (however on the last day staying I found 2 cockroaches in my room). The staff were nice, friendly and easy to communicate although they didn’t know much english. Overall a good experience, I recommend this place when you visit Kaohsiung.
