I had an amazing stay at Amaan Beach Bungalows. I have been to Nungwi a few times but this is by far the best accommodation I have stayed at. It is great value for money. Good air conditioning in the rooms and also a fridge for cold water. Fast wifi in rooms and public areas. Staff all were extremely friendly- very attentive and helpful throughout my stay. I arrived very late at night and was able to check in no problem. Pool area was very clean. Good variety of options for breakfast. Great view from the breakfast area too- right on the beach and ocean for breakfast with a view! Great location to the beach. Would highly recommend Amaan Bungalows. As a solo traveller I absolutely loved my time here- can’t wait to come back soon!

There was building work going on for 2 days of my stay near the pool- a lot of banging and loud noise which was not ideal for sunbathing. The manager Gilbert did come and apologise on both days which I did really appreciate.

Excellent location right on the beach. Room was clean and comfortable and the staff were all lovely. The whole place is set in really lovely surroundings and easy access to everything. The restaurant did amazing food for lunch and dinner and the pool area and access to the beach was brilliant.

Breakfast was really poor. Some days it was ok other days it was inedible. Such a shame as everything else about this place is absolutely fantastic. The staff at the egg station were quite rude on the 1st day, I was shocked as it wasn’t my experience of the rest of the staff and due to this I did not go back to them. Instead found other things to eat for breakfast. It’s such an easy thing to fix and I really hope they do as everything else about the stay is absolutely perfect.

I realized that accommodation inZanzibar is REALLY basic. Like they don’t really care about the details. just sleep and go to the beach Chile. Well the place is the perfect accommodation to book cause it’s literally by the beach. it’s clean and the staff is so nice man.

the BIRDS!!!!!!! terrorized us lol not their fault but be careful. these birds in Zanzibar are wild!!!! Food in Zanzibar is generally not that great but shame they tried :)

The location is very good and the breakfast has a great selection.the room is clean and comfortable.You can enjoy the sunset every evening with delicious food and coctails in the restaurant.

Hi Hotel stays on beach and contacts with ocean. You can see tide and low tide from hotel's restaurants during day. Hotel's entertainment team can help you with organising your holiday. The breakfast is good for they price, just breakfast, not more.

We stayed in ocean bungalows two years ago. And since that time the rooms and the hotel itself have been improved a lot. Clean and tidy rooms, with basic but all necessary stuff one needs. Tasty breakfasts. The Chef went to study to Italy so food is from local products with Italian touch) we loved it) Green territory and helpful stuff. But the best part of our holidays was the view from our terrace (oxen bungalow). It is just breathtaking. And you can trace the tides and when the oxen is high to swim in the beach which is just downstairs of your terrace.

Fantastic location on the beach. Lovely restaurant built over the beach/ sea with reasonably priced good food. Nice well kept grounds and super nice friendly staff. For the price we paid, I was very happy.

Rooms are in need of an overhaul. Our bathroom kept flooding every time we used the shower due to a blocked drain. The staff tried to fix it but eventually they changed our room. The second room had a large amount of damp under the Aircon unit which really needs to be fixed. The restaurant often ran out of certain items which was annoying as it's a small menu.

Only cons is the ‘beach boys’. Trying to sell tours to tourists. If you want some alone time on the beach it’s quite hard since they’re always staying on the shores selling tours to any tourists they can find.

nothing bad to say - would only suggest that they are consistent in their charges for airport transfers… We originally paid $65, then when we arrived at the property, it said in big writing on the side of the building that the charge for transfer to the airport was $50, but we didn’t say anything. then, on requesting the transfer home back to the airport, we were quoted $65 again… I referenced the big text on the building for $50, and they agreed to the price of $50. I suggest they are clear on what the price actually is
