Very Tranquil hostel with lovely staff who make you feel at home, nice free breakfast and it’s actually nice to lounge around there because there is nice seating areas and a lot of greenery. The beach, bars & restaurants are just a short walk away. I took a private room and it was kind of isolated at the back which meant I could have a nice peaceful sleep.

The location was great, 5 mins walk to 2 entrances to Nungwi beach, 24 hour security, so I did feel safe, the housekeeping staff and the male staff who did security were fantastic, very friendly and made me feel welcome, the laundry area at the rear of the property was a life saver when you just wanted to wash a couple of items daily and hang them to dry, the housekeeping staff even located one of my tops when another guest took it by mistake, the breakfast is brilliant with a good choice of eggs, cooked how you want, different fruits, breads & juices every day, the room was cleaned every day, as was the communal bathroom, the pool area and garden is relaxing and looks lovely lit up at night, also major plus point - this is the only place I got a decent cup of coffee in a 3 week stay in Nungwi ! 👍😊

I liked everything but there are a couple of suggestions - would have been nice to have a sun lounger by the pool as well as the chairs that were there and a small outside washing line would be useful

Nungwis was such a great place to stay. I stayed 3 days and then extended for another 3 days. The location is close to the beach and between the location of two market areas that also have restraunts with great food if you are looking for a bit of a cheaper meal not directly on the beach. I stayed in the dorm which had good size beds that were curtained for privacy and with a/c in the room. The shower was great with good flow and hot water. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and big including omlette chapati fresh juice and fruits, toast with many jams, coffee and tea. There are multiple seating areas which make it nice to chat with others or get time alone. The staff are incredibly friendly and working hard to keep the property clean and to help out in anyway possible- including frequently asking if there's anything needed to let them know. I want to especially thank Mohammed who went out of his way to look for ways to ensure the best experience possible with his great sense of humor and Sarah for the wonderful information about the area.

lovely relaxed hostel, with great staff. mohammed & Sarah were brilliant and I enjoyed my stay there so much I ended up staying nearly 2 weeks! fab location as well just a 3-5min walk to the beautiful nungwi beach! also, super clean, the staff change your bedding everyday! I would highly recommend a stay here!

WiFi like anywhere in zanzibar wasn't the best but it was still better than most places I'd been to. the 4g network works brilliantly up there so if you have a local sim then use that.

Relaxing hostel. Very cute and relaxing atmosphere. I was there with a friend and it was a very pleasant stay. Everything was very clean and the manager and her local staff was more than sweet. A lot of greenery and places to relax in the garden. The pool is not really for swimming but definitely enough to cool yourself down during a hot day. It’s mostly shade in greens as well which made it pleasant during the hot hours to just chill in the garden. The breakfast was super for being a budget hostel. The value for money is seriously great. Huge lockers for the dormitory, AC, fan, curtains for the bed, mosquito net. We are definitely recommending Sarah’s hostel Greens. She’s done an amazing job and she deserves big credit to be able to create such an amazing atmosphere and energy in the place. It’s truly a place of love and happiness. Sarah and your team, we wish you all the best and we will definitely come back!

Have nothing bad to say.

1. The location is in a touristic area close to everything and especially to the beach 2. The house is surrounded by trees, which makes the place very cool even when it's too hot outside 3. The place was clean and beds comfortable enough 4. There is a small swimming pool good for relaxing when you don't need to go outside

1. The breakfast could be made better. Maybe add some fresh juice or fruits as these are quite cheap around. (I had to buy some to add to our breakfast). Sadly still, we missed breakfast one day for allegedly waking up late 2. It is not possible to meet many people as at the time there were not many bookings 3. We were not provided with a bathing soap (luckily, we had carried our own)

Nice garden with a lovely pool, very friendly staff. The energy inside Greens is something different, very peaceful feeling. Nice area for exercise. Clean and comfortable place. Breakfast is very good. Big dorm with curtains for the bed. This place is so far one of the best places I have visited in Zanzibar.

Absolutely everything.. everyone is so warm and welcoming.. Sarah and her staff are like family, they couldn’t do enough for you- I spent 18 days there and I definitely did not want to leave Greens. Definitely rebooking without a doubt. My experience could not have been made any better- so much to love about the true Nungwi Zanzibar experience staying at Greens. So safe and secure too. Sarah is top tier host, her staff are amazing too.. 😍

That was my best stay ever!!! I miss so much Definitely the best Hotel we had in Zanzibar. It's nice, clean and stylish with attention to detail, The staff is exceptionally nice and friendly. The food is tasty and the prices are fair. And the best of all: it has a really great, very relaxed, I can't recommend it highly enough! It great value for money, The room was super clean,The breakfast was really good, It was a memorable stay. And probably its one of the best in zanzibar Absolutely Amazing setting, great atmosphere, And the best thing the restaurant on the rooftop you can see the ocean and best place to see the sunset💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚

It’s a hidden gem in the heart of nungwi. Location is super! The garden is fantastic. Breakfast big enough according to the price I pay for the stay. It’s kept clean, the atmosphere is lovely. A possibility to meet people. Sarah is amazing, super attentive and kind, she makes you feel like home. I wouldn’t lie when I say that Sarah is a true inspiration for women. This is not my first time in greens and every time I come to nungwi greens will be my option.

Still no lockers inside the dorm, but sarah can keep your valuables in her safety box. I know she is working on the lockers.
