Everything in this hotel was great, from the hospitality to the comfort of the room to the location. Stayed here with my husband for 3 nights and honestly cannot recommend this hotel enough! Probably the best nights’ sleep we’ve had since we’ve came to zanzibar, the mattress and pillows very comfortable. We were only 4 minutes walk away to the beach, the roads are lit up and very safe to walk back to the hotel at night as well. And also even though all the staff were great we want to give a special shout out to Mohamed who always made sure we felt right at home and had everything we wished for

Very nice hotel, great atmosphere, extremely friendly, welcoming staff who helped us with everything we needed! The hotel has a great location, close to the beach, restaurants, shops. The pool is nice with comfortable sunbeds around it, the small gym was also a big plus for me. The room is clean and spacious, cleaning service, towel change every day. Breakfast was super nice also, every day different options so it doesn’t get boring. Special thanks to Maher and Muhamed for all the help and also for keeping us entertained every evening with table tennis and billiards matches. ;)

The only thing was the location of our standard triple room - on the ground floor, on an open-air corridor, which means technically the room was facing a wall but next to it was a small garden from where fresh air and daylight came to the room. Also, a few more pieces of furniture would be nice for the clothes and other personal belongings that we had to store in the suitcase but it was not a big problem.

Early checking: First of all, we were meet at the airport and it’s so convenient to come exactly to hotel. As we have arrived early in the morning with tired kids, we have asked for early check in and very pleasant manager quickly organised us a room. The hotel is very cozy, surrounded by greenery, with comfortable swimming pool, lots of umbrellas. The territory is constantly cleaned, the cleaning in the rooms was also excellent. It felt like the bed linen was changed every day. Beautiful swans made of towels, decorated with flowers, were really nice) Breakfast: The breakfast was not very varied but had all the basics: scrambled eggs or fried eggs cooked to your liking, fresh and cooked vegetables, a wide variety of fruits and pastries. Food: We had half pension and it was convenient. For dinner, we could choose one dish from the menu. The portions were really huge and the food was delicious. The menu is varied, lots of seafood. We often ordered also lunch at the hotel: it was convenient to dine by the pool, the price is lower than in a cafe by the sea. Sometimes we asked to adapt dishes to the taste of children (remove spices or vegetables), and they always met us halfway. Service: We often had to ask for non-standard requests and they always met us halfway. For example, we asked for a rearrangement in the room so that we would be more comfortable with the little ones, and everything was quickly organised. Or asked to change large pillows for small ones. It seems to be trifles, but they all make up a feeling of comfort and good rest. Beach: The hotel is a 5 minute leisurely walk from the beach. The road passes through quiet streets with cafes and restaurants, but the best part is that it leads to the most beautiful part of Nungwi beach. The hotel offers dry cleaning services at very good prices. The dry cleaning of the shirt cost me less than $1. Everything was ready in a few hours.

Nothing - everything is fine. Just want to add what I like here more: Pleasant trifles: We felt very comfortable and at home in this hotel. All the staff sincerely smiled to us. One worker even cut aloe leaves and offered them to sunburned guests. And the monkeys came to the territory of the hotel. It was a lot of fun not only for our children, but also for us. During the day, cheerful music was played by the pool at such a volume that did not interfere, but rather cheered up, and in the evening it was calm and pleasant. And most importantly, when our child took off his armlets and began to drown while I ran to him, one of the workers jumped into the pool and saved him. Thank you! if destiny brings us to Zanzibar again, we will definitely stay with you!

We spent 10 nights in the hotel and we really enjoyed our stay. The bed was huge with a very comfortable matrace, the room was super clean, every day we had fantastic towel swans with petals like honey mooners. Breakfast was specous with freshly prepared omlette and pancakes and lots of other items that varied every day. Freshly squeezed juices were also great. We loved everything in the hotel and would come back any time. Thank you for making our holidays so special. :)

The place is beautiful, the atmosphere inside the hotel is peaceful and so equtorial. The food is delicious and special kudos for the staff, they are the most friendly and nicest people in the word... PS: the hotel is 5 minutes far to the beautiful nunwi beach

We apreciated our stay at Canary because we felt at home and everything was perfect during our stay. The owners were always present and available, they ask every day what they can do for us. Great location (just 5 minutes walking from the beach). Room was cleared every day and all the employees were very friendly. Very good breakfast and dinner options (different buffet every day). One of the best beds that we splet in our life. We hope to return one day.

Hotel a few ninutes walking distance from beach, shops and restaurants. Very nice staff, helped when needed. There is also a tourist guide in the hotel who helps organizing trips on the island.

Breakfast was not the same every day which is positive however I missed a real coffee machine.

Located 5-10 minute walk from Nungwi beach and the nearby restaurants, shops, spas. My room was a good size, had a netting door for insects, and had good air conditioner (though this did stop working on my last night but I noticed this too late in the night for me to bother flagging with the staff) I arrived at 0200 and staff were available to check me in. Staff were polite throughout the stay and actively checked in on if they could help improve the experience. There are two restaurant areas on site- one for breakfast and other space next to the pool open through the day. The hotel manager offered to prepare a breakfast pack on days where the tours I had signed up started before breakfast time. 2nd restaurant is open from 1000-2200 and has a wide range of food. Got to try some swahili food here and again staff were lovely. There is a good sized pool and spa at the venue which I did not have time to use. There is a small gym which despite its size is better equipped than most hotel gyms I have previously been to- with good options for resistance training. Also nice to have table tennis and pool tables available.

Staying at Canary has been a fantastic experience. The rooms were clean and comfy, and the staff was wonderful, always willing to assist with whatever you needed. Canary goes above and beyond to ensure that you receive the best possible treatment. We made the most of the location by walking to the beach and restaurants. You won't have to travel far to find things to do; simply ask the hotel staff to assist you in organising anything, and it will most likely be a 5-minute walk from the hotel.
