I took a solo trip to Nungwi and booked at Lighthouse Guest House for the first 3 nights. The place was really comfortable and I would highly recommend for a traveller on a budget. So close to the beach, I would take sunrise tours every morning , this guesthouse is really well priced for a beach front accommodation. I extended my stay to 6 nights because the hospitality from the staff was really out of this world. Yeva , Dula and the other ladies were really amazing hosts. It didn't feel like a solo trip at all because I made friends. The breakfast was healthy and filling. Wifi is fast and works in the rooms, perfect for a digital nomad like myself! I will definitely come back! Loved my stay here!

We received a very warm welcome at the Lighthouse Guesthouse and felt very comfortable and safe throughout our stay. Our host and all the staff were always very helpful and helped us with all our questions and concerns. The guesthouse is 2 minutes from the beach, which unfortunately has a lot of sea urchins. However, 5 minutes walk away is a very nice part for swimming. There are some good restaurants and bars right on the beach. Our room was clean and equipped with everything you need including bathroom. There are 2 ventilators available in the room. Breakfast was freshly prepared every day and plentiful. Absolutely recommended. 🫶

Simple nice room, perfectly clean. Location was great, two minutes from the beach. Good restaurants just there. Staff was exceptional, really lovely women, ready to help you with everything. We were happy to use the option of washing our clothes, very good job done. Lots of fresh fruit in the morning. Lovely dog guarding the property from strange men and crows ;-) likes to play in the morning ❤️ We would definitely come again.

Breakfast was very nice ans generous. The fruits were abundant and extremely fresh and tasty. The location was good for us as off the noisy strip but still within walking distance. The staff was extremely kind and warm. The room was clean and everything we were looking for within our budget. The garden was pretty and well maintained and the dog and cat on the premises are adorable. Good value for money.

It was a good experience

The hospitality from the staff. Breakfast was great. Free upgrade to a bigger room.

The location itself. No street lights at evening and night. Felt unsafe a couple of times in the evening with few local kids following us on foot/bikes and carrying blade at times in their hands while asking for money.

We were extremely grateful for our stay at Lighthouse guesthouse! The staff were super friendly, and helped us with a lot of things. We got excellent breakfast, and also had the opportunity to get our clothes washed. They also helped us arrange a day trip with snorkling, which was very nice for us. The place was calm and easy, and we felt very much like home. We spent most time at the beaches further north - for us it was nice to get the walk, but you might want to walk a bit to get to the nicest ones
