Great location right at the heart of Chinatown, and a ferry stop to Wat Arun just metres away.. Room was clean and spacious, with the river view room having fabulous views over the whole area. Pool is very small but we wern't interested anyway. Air con is strong but a bit noisy at night. The bar has good views but the menu is quite restricted ... much better to eat on the street. Karaoke on Thurs night kept us away from eating in LOL. Overall, would stay here again. Beware the tuktuk drivers who hang around outside and promise to take you to see a temple, but then take you to their "sponsors" instead!

Great hotel in the middle of Chinatown. We stayed in the family room which was enormous, plenty of room for all of us with two bathrooms and a sliding door to separate the two sleeping area. The amenities in the hotel are great - a small but nice pool and the roof top bar (with complementary drink vouchers) is a fun space to watch the sun set over Bangkok. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Great base in central Bangkok.

We spend our night during NYE here, which was an unforgettable night with the view we had from out balcony. Very spacious and very clean room. Really recommend it if you want a once in a lifetime experience. Staff also very kind and helpful. It is a very Chinese themed hotel, which adds up to the experience. Feeling you’re stepping in another world once entering the hotel. :)

The jacuzzi isn’t really an jacuzzi but just a bathtub. Unfortunately the water wasn’t very warm but ok’ish. Also the bathtub kept running empty as it seemed that the plug wasn’t fitting well. Bathroom was a bit poor in comparison to the room. Also not really hot water and pressure from the shower. Which is a shame when you pay $225,- for one night. Breakfast was quite expensive without a lot of good Continental choices, so we decided to skip it.

This place is great. OK, it's pretty touristy and like a lot of other big-city hotels...BUT that's the point. You know what you'll get - a good, clean and decent sized room with every amenity. Plus in the heart of Chinatown AND a short walk to the Golden Buddha and Gate. Lots of dining options. Has an outdoor patio at main corner, long 2-1 beer happy hour there. Good, helpful and pleasant staff here. I got 2 beers and a bag of ice and took to my room one day. Room was nice, decent views (I was not on the "best" side) and very comfy bed. Bell service, front desk all very nice and efficient. Good restaurant at street level too. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the 2 outdoor deck bars (17th and 23rd floors) AND the classic revolving restaurant bar on 25th. I ate there and it was OK but instead just to to Gen Z and River View for drinks, eat in the neighborhood later -- or before. The 23rd floor deck has best views IMHO. It was a pleasure.

Need some bed side / end table charging stations -- all the power plugs were in use.

Perfect location, you step out of the hotel and you are right in the centre of Chinatown with so many choices for shopping, street food and restaurants. The wholesale market is just a few minutes away by foot. Very nice view from the room and the roof top bar. Small but nice pool on the roof top as well. Good surveillance and big safe in the room.

The bathroom is small and needs some restoration. The cleaning could be better.

It was very clean and spacious. The staff was helpful and even helpt us to get a taxi at the street. Loved the small pool on the 23th floor. Also loved how easily everything was accessible, of course China town was ultra close but other sights are only 15 minutes with the water taxi.

The beds were a bit uncomfortable.

Breakfast was very good and hotel is superbly placed in the midst of the Chinese quarter. Booked a room with river view and balcony and had a 19th floor room with a breathtaking aeriel view of the city. Staff were friendly and helpful.

No real complaints. Delighted with my choice of hotel.

Good location in Yaowarat just 1-2mins away from the hustle and bustle. walking distance to Pier and in between tourist spots like Pratunam, Icon Siam. Great and helpful front desk and bellhops

Found a couple of small cockroaches during my stay. toilet was aged and mattresses were stiff and hard.

Good location to explore Chinatown. Near Chinatown night market but not noisy at all. Large hotel, easy to locate. Family room is large with 1 large double bed & 2 twin beds in a separate corner. Two TVs in the room, one for parents & one for children. Room is clean. Night view of Bangkok city is fantastic from its 25th floor revolving restaurant. Staff very friendly, polite & helpful. Hotel buffet breakfast was sumptuous & delicious, so much variety. Well done. Keep up the good work.

should have non-smoking floors/rooms for customers to choose. Of course there'll be traffic jams getting to the hotel, as in any other chinatown in the world. This is to be expected.

What an excellent stay! Great location in Chinatown. The open air rooftop bar on 17th floor is spectacular, and the rotating restaurant on the top floor offers amazing views that really enhanced my stay. The staff were very helpful, check in was easy. I loved the spaciousness of my deluxe room on the 20th floor, and the view was fantastic. It matched the Booking photos exactly. I was so happy with this base for a 3 day visit to Bangkok. I was extremely satisfied with my stay at Grand China and will recommend this to anyone visiting Bangkok for a convenient stay.

The only con which wasn’t a deal breaker for me was the mattress - it is the antiquated kind with springs and needs replacement. I still slept fine despite this and with the mattress topper (and I am a picky sleeper!), but if you’re coming in from a long journey or deep rest is a top concern for your stay in Bangkok, I would not be able to recommend Grand China as the most comfortable sleeping mattress, though the rest of my experience made it my top choice for future stays in Bangkok. I hope soon they will update all the mattresses to modern foam style, and then I can give it a 10/10 recommendation!
