Pat, Koi and the staff were very kind until the very end of my stay! I stayed from November 30 to December 8, 2024. On my first day, they helped me right immediately and told me what I could do in Bangkok; I liked the place because of center of the temples and foods areas. Every day, they are eager to assist you with what you can do and where to dine, not only in Bangkok but also on your next vacation throughout Thailand. They're quite helpful. I feel at home staying here. Khawp khun khrap To Pat, Koi and staff for being fantastic. Every day, I observed how wonderfully you cared for your guests and me. Thank you for taking care of my laundry. I will surely return to this hostel the next time I visit Bangkok. Don't be afraid to inquire anything; they'll help you right away. 😊

None!

The location is super strategic, close to bus station (I’m Chinatown where many of the buses stop) and MRT. Also close to Chinatown where many of super delicious food are located. Facilities are super clean! They clean the common area and shared bathroom & toilet everyday. Soap and shampoo as well as clean towel are provided. Hairdryer are also provided. The host and staff are super nice and can recommend you many good food. I highly recommend those on budget travel to stay here. Probably one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in my backpacking experience.

They dont empty the trash in your room while you stay but this is very minor.

Excellent location! A block from all the Chinatown action but very quiet. The staff was also so friendly and helpful in giving me recommendations to make the most of Bangkok. Shower, bathrooms, and common areas were cleaned daily. Felt very secure and the door was easy after hours. Also the value for money was excellent.

The 8-person sleeping area was small, more like cubbies than beds. But I mostly had the whole room to myself (4 nights of the 6) so that wasn’t an issue. Could be hard in the busy season though.

We loved our stay at Tian Tian Hostel! The hosts are the nicest people ever, knowledgeable and always more than happy to help. Thank you for all your help, guys! Facilities are always clean and you will have everything that you may need for a short or long stay. Beds are on the hard side but for us that was only a plus, as that's good for your back. The included breakfast is a bonus and all the food was very tasty. The location of the place is perfect, as it's central in Chinatown but in a quieter street.

If we really have to nitpick, our trash bin wasn't emptied regularly but other than that, it was all great.

Tian Tian Hostel has an excellent location if you choose Chinatown as your base, it is a refurbished old-style building with original wood floors that I find charming. A few minutes walk from the Wat Mangkon station, it is on a quiet street behind chaotic traffic of Yaowarat main road. A great base too if you want to explore Talat Noi nearby. As such, transport or food is not going to be an issue. I would say the hostel provided the important basics that you need (towels, shower gel, shampoo, hairdryer), if you needed anything else it is very likely they will be able to assist you. The owner and staff are so friendly and helpful to everyone, which is a super Plus factor in making your stay enjoyable. The pod bed is clean and comfortable, and air con is available the whole day. During my stay, the other dorm occupants were quiet so there is no issue about noise etc. The free breakfast is great too, you get to cook your own eggs. The no-shoes-upstairs is always a good policy :)

Nothing.

The owner Pat makes this stay so exceptional! Her excellent local knowledge makes this 11/10! She patiently answered all our questions and recommended the superb weekend market as a perfect day out and it was! We choose the location to be in Chinatown for the street food and this did not disappoint! Tian Tian is in the midst of it all but down a quiet side street so you don’t have the noise. We had a 4 berth dorm which was ideal for a family. Clean showers and toilets, perfectly acceptable do it yourself breakfast. Would recommend for anyone wanting to really experience Chinatown!

Nothing.

It was my first time staying at a hostel and i thoroughly enjoyed it. I can't compare because it was my first hostel experience. But i guess this hostel did everything right. The biggest plus is the owner who is very helpful about tips for your Bangkok visit. Another big plus is the location. Basically just a side street from Yaowarat Road. I was also lucky to meet some other friendly solo travellers here who wanted to visit some places together. Which was really nice. The owner told me Tian means sky. And there's two because in Thai written language it looks like two people holding hands. I thought that's so cute and it does describe my personal experience as i was lucky to meet some people even though there weren't many beds occupied in my room.

If i have to name a downside then it would be that the matress feels a little hard for me. It's okay for laying on your back, but when i tried to sleep on my side it suddenly felt really hard. But the privacy due to how the bed was situated was great.

The room is spacious and the beds are clean and comfortable. The hotel is located in the busy area of Chinatown, granting easy access to the bustling night market, just a leisurely stroll away.

1. If you arrive at the hotel too early or too late, it is very likely that there will be no one at the front desk, and you will have to call the staff to help you open the front door, which may take a few minutes. 2. We had to carry our luggage all the way up to our room due to the absence of elevators, but the staff member was friendly and helped us carry it.

The location is really good, near subway station, good restaurants, and if you stay here on the weekend, you get to experience the bustling and hustling street food. The property is very convenient, near convenience stores, 7-11, pharmacy. The host was very accommodating since the moment we entered the property, sharing local information, guidance, and assistance. We didn't expect much from the breakfast, it was simple but provides us enough to go through the day.

The narrow passage and the high stairs are a bit difficult to be accessed, especially if you have big and heavy luggage. The bedroom was clean overall, but there are some part that can be improved, especially around the celling area. The shower area is a bit small with small shower head, but good water pressure and working water heater.

Great location, in the heart of chinatown, but on a quiet street. My private room was very big and very comfortable, with everything one might need. Clean and cozy, very comfy bed, bery big balcony. The hostel is well maintained, nice and helpfull owners and staff.

Nothing negative, just some points to be aware of: - The private rooms are on the 3rd and 4th floor, no elevator. - On breakfast one has to prepar his own eggs, and that could be a bit massy. - There is a 500 B. deposit, so be prepared with enough cash.
