Very large apartments. Fairly modern-looking, though you can see them starting to age due to previous guests that did not treat the apartments well. I also liked the color scheme of these apartments- too many apartments I've stayed at in this part of the world are overly floral and pastel.

The water in the shower was inconsistent. It would go from scalding hot to cold every 2 minutes or so. The kitchen was ill-equipped. There were two (very damaged) burners, but no pots or pans. Only a single plate, single bowl, single spoon and single fork were provided.

First and foremost, the staff at Reception were excellent, especially Praew and Noon. They were so helpful, friendly and very efficient. Also their lovely personalities and warm smiles made staying at the hotel a pleasure. The apartment was spacious, the bed comfortable, the room service good and the little balcony was pleasant to sit out on and watch the sun set. Thank you everyone for three happy days with you.

The location was a little way out of town and we had to get a taxi as it was just too far to walk. Saying that it wasn’t a chore as the reception staff would ring for transport and it was just a five to ten minutes’ ride to the restaurant or the ‘Gates’.

a real WOW location! the sweetest people at the reception and they help you with anything. the room is just so big, a real apartment. I really felt at home, and this is important if you are already travelling for a long time. it also has a big pool, which we didn’t use, but it looked great. would definitely recommend!

not really only advise to put more cutlery like a knive and maybe a towel and sponge in the kitchen. but this is just an advice.

The space was perfect so we could put our little one to bed, then chill out ourselves in the living room. Late checkout was very convenient. Had some toys to play with in the Reception area, including skateboard, scooter and bikes, which kept my son entertained. And the staff were lovely and friendly.

The child's bed was a bit hard. Cutlery and kitchen supplies were limited. There was no knife so we had to spread butter with a spoon. Also only 2 of everything, yet there were 3 of us staying, this is a common problem on in hotels though.

nicely tucked away, 20 minute walk to the old town and centre of chiang mai. balcony was great with a lovely view of the mountain. shower is good, gym looked decent. incredible value for money, I extended my stay here (you can do at reception and it’s cheaper than booking.com)

I booked this hotel for my sister and her family who resides in Thailand, just days before she gave birth. Her and her family told me the staff were so beautiful, and the rooms were so clean and comfortable, and the amenities were amazing. The pool was beautiful! Very close to shops, and nice surroundings. They loved the hotel so much, they stay again as soon as they were discharged from the hospital with their new baby. I can't wait to come and stay, and my sister and her family will be back! I can't thank the Grand Wipanan enough for being so accommodating to my family.

excellent facilities ,spacious room with cooking stove, microwave and big fridge. With laudary services, good for long stay people. Helpful staff. 7-11 and local food markets is nearby. 6 mins car distance from old Town.
