breakfast was great. I got to order an omelet, soup or noodles dish, and much more. Fresh fruit every morning and steamed milk for my coffee are an added touch. The massage I received was wonderful and a shower available. I took a tour of Battambang Bat cave in a private van.

The first night I couldn't sleep. The locals were celebrating the last day of the Kmer New Year Festival which was great but there is a speaker store across the street that capitalized on the festivities to promote their product by playing music way too loud throughout the night. Even with earplugs and a headset, it was extremely loud. They did quiet down around 11 but then the music started up again. It was a rough night.

Everything was great. The room was absolutely beautiful. The facilities far outdid out expectations, we had an outside area overlooking the garden, bath and separate shower, lots of space in the room as well. The swimming pool is a beautiful space and good size given the limitations of the small site. The staff were all polite and better English speakers than we had come across in other parts of Thailand. The breakfast also exceeded out expectations. We had read negative reviews of it, I found it to be delicious, nice mix of Thai and western options.

Only issue, and the reason why we marked the cleanliness down one point, was that a pair of boxers, presumably from a previous guest, had been left tucked right under the sink. Easy to miss I suppose, and the rest of the room appeared spotless, but worth mentioning since it was the only negative.

Bad mannered guests especially one nasty little European man (I won’t say where from!) who was abusive to one of the lovely breakfast staff because he had to wait 3 minutes for a seat

The hotel is located in the center of the city, it is very convenient to go sightseeing even by foot. There are many local restaurants and 7-11 just walk nearby. The room was huge with a big bathtub and shower room, plus a big balcony, it felt very comfortable. I really like the design of the hotel and the vintage decorations placed in the hotel. Breakfast is a free buffet meal from 7am to 10am, the food selection is acceptable for me.

The night shift front desk staff couldn't understand me when I was speaking in English to her but we solved the problem at the end.

A little quiet and relaxing corner in the centre of the old city. Lots of highlights within walking distance. Staff was incredibly helpful and kind with all our questions and requests. Ordering cabs for us, helping us out when we booked a day trip that seemed sketchy, preparing breakfast boxes when we left too early to have breakfast at the hotel, and so on. Room was impeccably clean, and larger than we expected, beds very comfortable. The whole hotel looked to be of high quality, well built and decorated. Well isolated too: our room stayed cool even with AC off all day. Our favorite accommodation we've stayed in during our trip through Thailand!

We never fully figured out how to make the shower run at a comfortable temperature; it seemed to be either very hot or very cold. Sound isolation towards the corridor was also not great. These are very minor comments on a wonderful stay :)

We stayed at Viangluang Resort for our honeymoon! We chose this location based on its proximity to night markets and staying within the city walls. The staff was kind and helpful, greeting us with tea and holding our bags when we arrived a bit early. We stayed in the "Superior Double Room." It had a lovely view of the outside, an incredibly soft bed, a built in bathtub, and a great infinity pool! Bottled water is restocked every day. The breakfast is well stoked with Thai, European, and American foods. Plus the A/C worked great! There were not many families (love kids a lot, but don't love them in pools and during the tears) and the grounds were very quiet! We anticipated exploring Chiang Mai a bit more when we weren't out on excursions or at the night markets, but there was so much to do, see, and eat nearby that we didn't venture out too far!

There was very little that we didn't enjoy. The restaurant was only open for breakfast when we were there and there wasn't a bar, but that didn't matter because there is so much food around! The infinity pool is a bit small but you can't really complain about the size because the fact that it is there is great.

Perfect location in old Chiang Mai. Room was pleasant with balcony. No unwanted noise problems. Nice pool. No lift, but not a problem for us, only 3 floors, could be problem for less able people. Reception staff were helpful when we needed advice and assistance.

Staff at reception and breakfast restaurant could be more engaging and friendly.

The property was centrally located in an exceptional location of the old city. Absolutely beautiful property that was managed to the highest standards. The staff were all there smiling and happy to make our stay the best it could be. rooms were spacious and meticulously maintained. super comfy bed and pillows. Big bathroom with a tub that the wife appreciated. There was a beautiful pool to enjoy that we definitely took advantage of. The property was quiet and well staffed 24 hours a day. all in all we were overjoyed with this property. would definitely stay here again!!!

There was no elevator and we were on the 3rd floor. The MOST minor detail that really did not affect our stay. Staff were happy to carry our bags.

Great location inside the old city section of Chiang Mai, 100m from Wat Chedi Luang. Walk easily to all the main sights through the day and restaurant and bar options at night. The massively extensive Sunday walking market is at the end of your laneway 100 m away. Good breakfast choice. Lovely pool. The rooms are a good size,ours had a balcony overlooking the pool, and they are very nicely set up. Comfortable beds. Excellent value for money. Very helpful staff also.

No problems at all. Everything was excellent we were sorry to leave after 3 nights.

Very good location, it is clean, the bed is comfortable.

If you are a smoker, don’t go to the Viangluang Resort! You can’t smoke even in your own balcony!!!!!
