The hotel is in an excellent location. Very clean, with helpful staff. We loved the security guard at night. We can also really recommend the vegetarian restaurant next door. The hotel provided everything we needed, it’s industrial in style which wasn’t an issue, but just an FYI. The rooms are spacious. The bed is comfortable. The pool area is more of a gesture of a pool but we didn’t mind that as Chiang Mai had so much to offer!

Location was quiet and there were plenty of cafes and restaurants around… including vegan and organic. The room was cleaned everyday and fresh water and towels if you so wished. No breakfasts at the hotel but it was so easy to find a variety of good eating places within 1-5 minutes walk ( with children!). Decor was austere, dark with ceiling/walls of concrete with piping on show! It had a warehouse/ factory feel but not unpleasant! The staff very very very helpful! The bird used to tap on the window in room 301 every morning at about 7:30! What a wonderful wake up call!! Great lift and AC

Great location in the old town with lots of restaurants in close proximity. The staff were exceptional, very friendly and helpful, and a credit to the hotel. The hotels bedroom was very nice, the room was done in an industrial style. I was a little concerned the hotel did not do breakfast, I found out most hotels don't in Chiang Mai, but there's some lovely places for breakfast 2 minutes walk away so it wasn't a problem. I enjoyed my stay so much in Chiang Mai, i am planning to go back next year, and i would definitely stay at the Thapae Loft again.

The location is wonderful near the night market and not far from the East Gate (Thapae Gate). The room was spacious, clean and modern, and we loved being able to use the bikes to get around Chiang Mai! The staff was friendly and the pool area refreshing in the hot afternoon.

Wifi on the 4th floor was often spotty but it seemed to work well elsewhere.

The hotel is super well located in the old town within the moated area. It’s therefore super easy to access by foot or bicycle let temples, markets, restaurants, coffee shops, galleries and anything else of interest. The hotel also has a pool and the staff are warm, friendly and keen to please. There are bicycles available at the hotel for guests to use too.

My stay at the hotel was very pleasant. The WiFi was a little uneven at times but that could also have been because I was on the top floor.

Fantastic location - close to many markets, temples Complimentary bikes to get around town Rooms are cool and have amazing air-conditioning! Nice pool area - towels provided. Absolutely wonderful staff - the reception team were so helpful and friendly. They helped with tours, transportation and were very kind.

Nothing available to eat when leaving on very early trips. Make sure you get your own food / snacks as there is nothing provided and no shops open close by!

Super friendly and very accommodating staff. Close to mlnice cafes and massage places as well as the night bazaar.

1. Air-con was not cold enough. 2. drain in one of the shower area was clogged 3. bed was probably not clean coz when we woke up, we had a few bites. 4. Since it is located off the main road, the road leading to hotel is small so vans cannot enter. We had to walk out with luggages just to board the van

The location of the hotel is great--just steps away from coffee shops, restaurants, and the Sunday evening Night Market. My room was spacious, clean, and even though I loved exploring Chiang Mai, I enjoyed being able to come back and lounge in my cozy room after walking around all day. The hotel staff was so helpful and attentive. Such a great experience overall!

I don't think anything could have been better-- the price, location, and experience were great!

The staff were so friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived, they facilitated an early check in for us following the overnight train from Bangkok. The pool area is fantastic to relax around, the room was huge and clean and we couldn't have asked for anymore when it came to the location. The hotel staff also made us Krathongs to use at a local festival. Overall a fantastic advert for Chiang Mai and we will be back.

The only reason we haven't given a 10/10 was due to the bed being uncomfortable and also the walls seem very thin with a lot of outside noise coming through in the nights.

Thapae Loft has an amazing location, few minutes from Thapae Gate, lots of restaurants nearby and bars. The staff was simply outstanding, they were really helpful and always so smiley. It all looked perfect, pool was comfortable and we loved our sitting in front of doors.

The bathroom was really smelly. Like it smelled like something died in there everytime which was not very comfortable especially for sleeping. The bathroom also looked kind of sketchy when it came to cleaning. I don’t understand why the pool is not covered, when it rained (and it rains a lot in Thailand in September) we couldn’t go there because it was raining in to it.
