After staying further along the same coast we wanted to extend out stay but there were no rooms available where we were. Luckily Lanta Casuarina had a room available. The room was a lot larger then we expected with a very high ceiling. Initially there were two rooms available and they let us chose which we preffered so that was great. The balcony was lovely to relax on after a swim. The restaurant was also good with 2 for 1 cocktails at happy hour. I did not find it difficult to grab a sun bed later in the day, which can be problematic in some places. The plants and gardens around the pool were also very beautiful and really made out evening pool swims. The hotel felt like it would have been alot grander in years past but it was great.

There was some sectioning of the sea for swimming in front of the hotel which I personally thought ruined the view

The garden-pool-beach area is the essence of the hotel. And this is the thing You are paying for. It’s beautiful, cozy and clean (except sunbeds). The crew is very helpful, cheerful and and always smiling. We also loved the big and very private balconies.

The hotel is old and tired. The rooms and their equipment are outdated. The bathrooms are dark and vintage in a bad meaning. The sunbeds by the pool are disgusting.

Nice hotel on the best beach in Koh Lanta. Typical hotel room, comfortable, cleaned daily but no English channels on the TV. Breakfast same staple as other 3 star places. Infinity pool and beach bar face west to the ocean. Nice for sunset and ocean breeze. Staff very helpful for any concerns. We had some medical accidents and were looked after. The hotel gardens were pretty although at the end of the dry season starting to look a bit unhappy. There is a great little beach bar and restaurant about 100 metres along the beach to the right. About 10 minute walk to 711. On selected nights there is a night market on the main road just outside the hotel entrance road. Some good cheap local food.

There was very little natural shade around the pool. There were umbrellas but not very big and heavy to move as are the loungers. Gets hot in the sun, OK if you want to get burnt in the sun but I don’t. Staff could have been more proactive in cleaning up rubbish on the beach.

We loved the pool right in front of the beach. The view is amazing. It is an good location for island trips and there are several tiny restaurants in the nearby surrounding on walking distance.

Breakfast is buffet style and is really ready at 7am. It is a resort that is used a lot by big travel companies. A lot of Swedish and Danish people on their vacation. We did not like the fact that almost all the sunbeds were claimed already very early in the morning (7am!). The hotel staff allowed this (if not facilitates).

The bungalow was adjacent to the beach which was superb, we wanted and were expecting a quiet holiday and it was perfect. We booked a day trip snorkelling, 4 island trip I believe , they picked us up and dropped us off on the beach straight in front of the Resort. Beach is very clean, we'd get up early and have a walk down the beach each morning before breakfast. We were there the week before Christmas and we gradually saw the resort get busier.

The breakfast could have more Asian options, only one choice each morning, my Thai wife said the food was good put it would have been nice to have a choice

We stayed in Lanta Casuarina for more than a week with 3 children. When we arrived the hotel was packed and we were given room quite far away on 2nd floor. Once many guests left staff was very accomodating and helped with our request to move our room immediately. Family rooms are big enough, with small terraces. Hotel beach and pool are great, always clean and good taken care of.

The breakfast is mediocre, always the same, it would be nice to have more variability. Off-season bar is closed and also restaurant is not open for dinners during the week. What we missed was some kind of drying rack for wet swimming suits etc. on the balcony/terrace.

This is an older resort which has definitely lost a bit of it's lustre, but retains its grandness. We loved staying here in low season and the privacy we had with so few guests. At many times you couldn't see or hear anyone and it gave it a real mystery vibe which we thoroughly enjoyed. The pool was a big highlight as it's an infinity one and overlooks the beach. The resort rents out mopeds for 200baht a day and that was very convenient as it's not too close to many places. There are a few good restaurants just to the right on the main road. Kin burger was a major highlight for us. The buffet was ample for low season, I can imagine it being a bit more full for high season when there are more guests to justify more variety. Having said that we weren't wanting for anything and never left hungry. The grounds are very well maintained and there is a lovely tropical garden throughout.

As mentioned the resort is overall slightly dated. Don't expect things to be brand new. But things are tidy and kept generally clean. The beach front is littered with rubbish and driftwood. I'm not sure if the resort cleans this up for high season or not but it means the beach isn't too pleasant to swim at. Having said this, I found most of the beaches on Koh lanta had the same issue so you'll likely encounter it as most places. Please note for low season the bar doesn't operate and there is no dinner service with lunch ending at 2:30pm. No biggie as there are options nearby.

Lovely staff, liked the location, breakfast was good enough with slight changes every day. Visited in low season and it was a great value for money deal. May not be so in high season though.

The pool seem to be dirty, was not totally comfortable with my 1y old being in the water. It was very windy though and rained some days so may have been due to the weather.

We had the room with sea view so it was wonderful. The pool was nice, the beach next to it was beautiful, white sand and nice to walk. Breakfast was good enough to get you going. There weren't many people around as it was off season so it was even more enjoyable. The facilities are in good condition, everything is well-maintained, staff is very helpful and welcoming. Great value for your money.

Great staff, very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were fine and the sea view was good too. Breakfast was enough and with good variety - the restaurant staff were specially great! thanks for a great service! The pool was a highlight, overseeing the beach. Would stay again.

Bathroom needed a little cleaning when we arrived but staff promptly fixed that. But that's just a tiny thing which didn't disrupt anything about the stay.
