The location on the Riverside is a tropical dream for Europeans. Lots of wild birds singing, some really interesting fish to watch off the extended stilt resto bar (for those that bother to look!), river activity like the huge "trains" of barges in Thailand. Straight out of Joseph Conrad. The guesthouse itself is quirky, very spacious and looks Victorian Colonial. The young guy who handles foreigners, because his English is perfect, is intelligent, and aware of the problems in Ayutthaya post covid. He's very helpful and suggested a restaurant nearby that turned out to be excellent (and I've been visiting Thailand for 35 years). Large beers @ 70 baht!!!!!!!!! Mee, the puppy! The wild looking cat!! One minute from the railway station!!!

A couple of unfriendly guests who didn't have the good manners to respond when someone says "hello". Sad, self absorbed, unaware tourists.

The house is right on the river. The verandah over looking the river is a great place to sit and watch boats go by.We picked downstairs as we struggle with stairs and wanted our own bathroom.Up stairs is in its original state and gorgeous. The room was spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable.5 minute walk from the train station And the Station Pier is a minute walk.We caught the boat from here to go over to look at the market and sight see.The staff are very friendly. The owner is on site.Lovely woman and very helpful

Gorgeous house with lots of decorations and details ! One terrace on the first floor, straight above the river, and one terrace on the second floor flooded with the evening sun. Rooms are beautiful but the dividing walls are paper thin and you can hear your neighbours as if they were in front of you. Beautiful looking place but not great for privacy. Great location, really close from the train station and from Ayutthaya old town, ruins and temples. Not the most quiet place.

This guesthouse is ideally located right in front of the train station and beside the river. The breakfast offers a good variety at a very reasonable price, and you can enjoy it on a terrace with a fantastic view of the river. Boat trips are conveniently just a short walk away. The interior has a cozy vibe with its wooden finishes, making some rooms with wooden walls stand out. The staff are really friendly and helpful with booking visits to the Ayutthaya ruins and planning other trips. Also, there are some nice restaurants within walking distance.

The internet was a bit slow.

We had a lovely stay. The host was great, he gave us an overview of the area as well as booking us a boat tour and our transfer to Kanchanaburi for the next morning. We arrived at 5am from the train and were able to drop our bags off and use the toilets/ shower etc as check in wasn't til 12. There was hot water in the shower. Some drinking water was provided but more bottles and breakfast were also available to buy cheaply. The guesthouse was a 1 minute walk away from the station and didn't feel unsafe arriving.

The building is gorgeous it is 100 years old and has a really nice to feel to it, however just to note that due to this the walls are very thin. Fortunately everyone staying was very respectful and there are signs saying to keep noise down after 10pm so this wasn't an issue but something to bear in mind if you are a very light sleeper.

Absolutely incredible building, true to the other reviews it's full of antiques, beautiful timber and knick knacks. There are lovely lounging areas, a gorgeous garden and riverside dining room. Stones throw from train station. If you turn right leaving the alley the first eatery on the left is amazing, one Thai woman cook and best fits I've had in Thailand. Fresh and delicious every time, almost missed my train sneaking in one more curry. 3 fans in room but it was nice and cool anyway, shared bathroom can mean a queue but there is a loo downstairs too.

If you have mobility issues you'll need a downstairs room because the staircase is the steepest in all the land. I asked for a temple map and they weren't able to give any local info, other reviews mentioned food but I couldn't find a menu and want offered breakfast or any other options, amazing eateries and a handy 7/11 nearby though! Average bathroom situation but if you get up early you'll be OK.

The room and the whole house are absolutely wonderfully designed. The rooms and particularly bath rooms were super clean. Just around the corner is the train station and also a jetty from which you can cross for 10 TBH per pax to the other side. The ladies running the guesthouse are very friendly, even though with very limited English ;)

Due to limited communication we could not ask for support or advice in Ayutthaya and it was hard first figuring out ways to move around the city until we discovered the jetty. All the 'important' stuff (night market, old city, coffee shops etc) are on the other side of the river, so prepare to cross each day at least twice.

Beautiful original Thai home, right by the pier and great decking to hang out in, they let me keep my bags until the train and hang out in the decking area. Staff were so friendly, the boy has extremely good English. Organised a sunset temple tour for 200THB which was great time. Highly reccomend!

Worms in my room / bathroom creeped me out a bit but it was overall clean, think it's just a given in some places you have some bugs about 😊

Very welcoming and friendly staff. Great location overlooking the river with nice comfortable seating areas. Building was beautiful and very clean. Even received free coffee, bananas and biscuits in the morning. Right next to ferry crossing to go over to the city and very close to train station. Highly recommend and would stay again. Just bring ear plugs.

Walls between rooms are thin and you can hear a lot of noise.

the house is historic, wooden, beautiful, our room was on the first floor, the staircase was very steep, our room had the bathroom on the floor but it was very clean. Breakfast is subject to charges. The location is close to the station, convenient to go to the center by boat or there are many tuc tucs. Good laundry service. Nice to have breakfast looking at the river.

the neighborhood is a bit chaotic
