The hotel is 5 mins walking distance from the airport, which was a bonus. Stayed 3 nights when we first arrived as we love the beach, which is a lovely stroll away. The surrounding area has plenty of coffee and eating places. This place has the most comfortable beds in phuket. The lady on reception, I think she is known as katrina, is most helpful and works really hard. The site also has its own restaurant opposite, which does some lovely dishes.Rooms have a balcony, so you can sit and watch the planes coming in and leaving.

Would be nice to have tea, coffee, sugar, etc, in the room. There is a kettle and cup's but that's all.

This hotel was literally opposite but separated from the domestic terminal by a car park and a busy road. It's slightly further from the international terminal but a complimentary shuttle service is provided. We had a rented car and a complimentary parking space was available. Our flight arrived about breakfast time and we only needed the room for several hours to freshen up and have a relaxing break before driving to our destination. Though we had booked the overnight rate, it was cheaper than other hotels advertising day rates. The room was quite large, very clean and comfortable with excellent soundproofing and blackout curtains.

You can not beat the convenience of the complimentary airport shuttle at David's Residence! Shuttle service and staff 10! Room and bed quality is more like a 7. The hotel is directly across from the airport, the staff was great with picking us up and dropping us off in the hotel car, their communication and directions were very easy to follow. We used the hotel bicycles to go down to the beach, buy some ganja, get breakfast, and have a nice dinner. They are not comfortable bikes, but we really appreciated them regardless because we were too tired to walk but so close it felt silly to take a cab. This is not someplace I would choose to stay while vacationing in Phuket, but it is a great choice for one night before/after a flight at Phuket. After staying here at the beginning of our trip, I have canceled a different hotel to rebook at David's Residence for our return flight. The room was very spacious for our 6 pieces of luggage. I appreciated the smart TV, I was able to log in to my USA Netflix account easily and enjoy. The air conditioner worked. The floors were very clean. Bedding is basic. The vending machine in the lobby was also appreciated.

Our bed had a loud wooden creaking noise whenever one of us moved it went crazy. We had room 201 which was a corner end room, so there were 2 balconies and quite a lot of road noise and of course the airport noise. Despite this, we were so tired we slept fine and we will still stay again.

The close proximity to the airport was great - after a very long day of travel, the comfy beds were welcomed. Complimentary bottled water is provided in rooms. The restaurant opens for breakfast at 8am and it was delicious. The female staff member who seems to run the whole place is so kind and helpful. Free shuttle to and from airport is quick and convenient. Air con was nice and cold in the room.

The rooms are bit older than what the photos portray but if you just need a bed and a bathroom it’s great. The tv wasn’t working and there is no tea or coffee provided. We didn’t mind about that.

My friend and I booked a stay for one night as we had to catch a flight early next morning, the staff was very friendly and helpful. We were able to rent a motorcycle when we arrived to navigate through town on our last day in Phuket and they also arranged for a taxi to drop us off at the airport in-time for our flight. We didn't use a lot of facilities as we only stayed one night but I would definitely recommend David Residence if you have a flight to catch the day after!

if you’re not aware the Phuket aiport is quite far away from Phuket beach (where you are almost certainly traveling to). I stayed here the night before a flight (which was at 11am) as I did not want to risk the thai traffic and 2 hour journey in the morning from the beach to the airport. this hotel is like five minutes from the aiport. perfect for a quick stay. the associated restaurant is very good and a good selection of snacks for sale. rooms are VERY large for the price.

if you wanted to walk to somewhere there’s not much around so it’s really best only for quick stays before a flight or for a few hours on a layover.

We stayed one night at David Residence between our flights and will do so again. It is located just in front of the airport, we could see the international and domestic terminals from our bedroom. Although so close to the airport, the place has good windows and it is quiet, the noise from airplanes is low and doesn’t bother. The bed was comfortable, the only problem was the noisiness of the bed base, it would make squeaky noise when getting in or out of bed, or turning. Great pickup service! Ning, the manager of the hotel, is very nice. She was in contact all the time and picked us up from the airport and took there the next day (although the hotel is a 15 minute walking distance). They have a nice restaurant with good breakfast. If you are planning to spend a night between flights, I highly recommend this place, it’s a good comfortable stay to rest and refresh before next trip.

The bed base would make sudden strong noise when getting in or out of bed, or turning from one side to another. Other than that everything was excellent

We had an early flight the following morning so decided to stay here for the last night of our trip. Room - Spacious, comfy bed and everything worked fine. Was a bit concerned about the airport noise but it wasn't a problem and we slept well. The aircon took a little while to get the room cool, but was fine. Facilities - Quite basic but this isn't a resort, so it certainly does the job. Area - Might need a cab to find somewhere decent to eat, cafes in the area are quite basic/rustic. Service - One lady seems to be doing everything, that said she is quick, efficient and friendly. Overall - The David Residence serves it's purpose and I would happily use it again.

Nothing to complain about although I would feel happier if our 'left luggage' had been stowed somewhere out of sight.

location was perfect. it’s basic but perfectly clean and they had a little shop for essentials at reception. also the airport transfer was very handy. a short walk from shops and restaurants too.

my only gripe was that they charge 4% for card transactions. this is normal in Thailand but as I had entered my details into booking.com the extra cost wasn’t welcome. that said it works out at about £1.20 a night so I really can’t complain too much.

We opted to stay near Phuket airport as our flight landed at 8pm and we were flying to Bangkok next morning. This hotel is the only one that offered pickup and drop back to the airport next day at no charge. Room was very clean with fresh sheets but TV did not work. There is a small restaurant over the road but the menu is pretty limited but it will get you out of trouble. Staff were friendly and pleasant to deal with. You could do much worse by not staying at this place.

Beds were a little too firm and no tea and coffee in the room or shampoo etc. Most people travelling light don't carry these and rely on the hotel supplying. However they did toss us a couple of teabags when I asked and they had cold beers in the foyer for 85 baht which is quite reasonable. Other thing is if you want more than one pillow per person then you need to ante up 50 baht each extra pillow.
