Beach and pool setting are amazing. The beds very extremely comfortable, nice room with ocean view. very nice staff. Great kids club.

Few food options in the hotel, mainly pizzas and burgers. Location is a bit far from town so you need a cab to get water at decent price.

Great location at the north end of Kamala beach. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant and roof top bar are excellent with good food and reasonable price. There are a few minor issues. For example, there are no small toiletries in the room. Robes and slippers were forgotten in one room. These were provided promptly upon request. I would stay here again

Too many steps for my elderly mother. Steps of stairs could be more distinctive by painting red strips on every step or putting some sort of clear markers for elders. My mother tripped a few times as she could not distinguish each step on the way down. During high season, beach chairs are not sufficient due to number of guests. Otherwise, Novotel is a great hotel to stay and in an excellent location. I would suggest providing some beach sport equipment for recreation such as kayak or paddleboard, at least for rent if needed so that guests do not have to walk out to find ones. Beach chairs could be extended onto the beach in front of the hotel to better serve the guests.

The location is perfect, great pool bar and selection of drinks and food. Friendly staff and we had a great view from our Ocean suite.

It felt like a kids club around the pool everyday. There is a fight to get a sun bed each day and there was a large group of Russians who took up half the pool area each day so we could never get a bed around the pool as they had put towels down since 7am.

Loved the location and ability to walk to local beach bars, massage and restaurants on the beach . Rooms are comfortable and well appointed with great air-conditioning! Breakfast careered for all food preferences.

Having to move rooms for our last nights stay and hotel not accommodating us with the same room and rate that we paid for the other 4 nights stay. Cafe Del Mar music was loud at night, when we moved to front Jacuzzi Villa

I was in a room close to the cleaner’s closet and heard the door banging repeatedly early in the morning. Also the slippery steps leading to the beach after it rained - I slipped and hit my head and hurt my back …. still, these were minor and didn’t upset my stay too much.

The hotel staff were so friendly and helpful! They gave us a gift for our baby, which was a great surprise and very thoughtful. Great location right on the beach, 10-15 mins walk from bars and restaurants in the laid back Kamala Beach. Very nice food and drinks, nice pool overlooking the ocean.

The rooms design (especially the bathrooms) is a bit out-of-date, there was cigarette smell in our bathroom (after notifying the hotel staff, they put air aroma freshners). In the evenings, there is sewage water that goes to the ocean and you need to cross it if you're walking in the beach. It's obviously not the hotel fault, but we were stung by jellyfish in the sea.

The hotel was brilliant .food .breakfast. staff. An location all played a part in a great experience .would be happy to stay again as long as these issues where addressed

The one or may I say 2 issues that where annoying was noise in the corridors at night especially around room 528 . disturbed sleep . I booked another night in diffent wing of hotel .unfortunitly the aircon was noicey an little sleep .for this 2 reasons I would not stay in the hotel as my sleep has been so disrupted I am tired an exhausted to be honest. Other than these items great hotel an staff hope the could rectify these 2 problems an I would be very happy to stay at the hotel

The location was nice and on the beach. Sadly, the amount of rubbish on the beach was truly heartbreaking although I cannot fault the hotel for this as it's most likely a result of people unwilling to throw their rubbish away in a bin before it gets blown away. Also, the night market culture lends itself to this single-use culture. I went for a walk early in the morning so perhaps someone hadn't had a chance to clean up the beach. My room was clean (not a great view) but that's ok as I was there for one night. The only noise I would hear was the slamming of other room doors though not too often. The breakfast had a bit of everything. The spa staff was lovely. Great for walking along the beach and parallet to a main road with small restaurants/huts/etc.

It is an upmarket hotel, designed to be a peaceful romantic getaway. I stayed in a villa with a private pool and while it is a more expensive option it was an amazing experience. The restaurant serve the best food in the area, also definitely include breakfast in your stay, you will simply not find a better selection in the Phuket area, I enjoyed it tremendously. The view from my villa was exceptional as you could see almost the whole of Kamala beach. If you want to spoil your partner with a romantic stay, this is the hotel you are looking for. I did travel with valuables, there was no security issue.

This only relate to the villas with the private pool, in my villa I had no control over the pumps of the private pool, I could not switch on or off the pumps. When you enjoy the pool it is great to have the pumps on since this create "jacuzzi" feel, however when you enter the room you could hear the pumps running. It would be great if the just install a switch for on or off. However this was not much of an inconvenience since you just phone the front desk and within 3 minutes a person from engineering will manually switch off or on the pumps.
