You sleep in a museum, magical! Staff were amazing. Sauna and massage extra but it deserves every penny! It is in the old city so be aware that you’ll live like the old time :)

Location! Accessibility!? But contact the hotel before they’ll arrange with you!

From the moment we arrived the whole experience was exceptional. Eman met us and her graciousness and kindness were immediately evident. The staff in restaurant ( and at breakfast) were so enthusiastic. The rooms in this beautifully restored property are the closest l have ever experienced to waking up in a Palace, sumptuous and spacious. The breakfasts were the best we experienced in our four month trip. Congratulations to a wonderful team- And thank you.

I felt like sleeping in a palace! The hotel is beautiful. Staff are super friendly and helpful, food was good - breakfast was really nice, especially liked the fresh strawberry juice. Location is good although i never did find the shortcut through the Medina 😅. As a female solo traveller safety is always an issue but because the hotel is just on the edge of the Medina it was fine to get to even in the dark. I don't know the other rooms, i think they're all suites but I could be wrong, but mine was super spacious and so beautiful. Also loved the bathtub.

Not a big thing - the room (suite) was very dark simply due to the building layout (around a courtyard, which btw was soooo pretty and you can sit outside). Having said this there are shutters and i never opened all of them because mostly I was there in the morning and the evening when it was dark anyway. But as i said, this wasn't a major issue for me just don't expect light flooded rooms(having said that, it is November so possibly when the sun is out this would change)

- clean rooms, spacious - traditional decor in the open spaces and rooms - easily accessible in the Medina - friendly and helpful staff members (almost all speak english, but french is definitively an advantage)

- the Restaurant. The food was undercooked (steak) even though we did not ask it to be raw. The pasta was below any standard, bland taste, soggy. The tea is standard bag-tea. The prices are reasonable for a high-end restaurant, but they don’t match the food and service. - Few restaurant alternatives around. - The bathrooms had an unpleasant smell in the morning. The water temperature was unstable (swaying between boiling and freezing without touching the knobs) - Not accesibile by car, be prepared for a short walk (2-3min) and be wary if you arrive after dark. - you can order good food via glovo and pick it up from the accesible point for taxis. - because of the bad reviews, we did not try the spa.

The staff here were most helpful and friendly. Being located in the Medina made any walking to the souk etc a simple matter. Staff were most willing to interact and assist in any way they could. A pleasure to deal with each and every staff member.

It would be very difficult to fault anything about such an exceptional 'find'. Certainly if travellers want to be picky and fussy about every little thing, there would be aspects to comment upon. However, in value for money just walking through the entire hotel was an adventure in itself. The friendliness of the staff would for me outweigh any little negative nitpickicking that could be done.

Beautiful palace, like a museum. Great location, easy to find on maps. Special THANKS to a chef who made delicious breakfast. Eastern sweets are not that sweet but sooo delicious!

Lack of simply to have a kettle and cups in the room. Hotel charge for tea bag tea🤦‍♀️ where in 5* hotels it should be for free. Do not book taxi with the hotel, it’s 4 times more expensive, better find other ways to get to the hotel. Toiletries are not changed on daily basis. Only 1 hand towel per room. Brick pillows that are not comfortable for everyone. Only 5 local tv channels. Facilities are very limited but hotel is beautiful

The place is nice, tastefully decorated and done like many other places in Tunis. The receptionist was lovely both in the afternoon when I checked in and next morning when I checked out. The place is quiet. Pin drop silence.

Location and maintenance. The taxi couldn't get to the door of the hotel, had to ask around from people where the hotel is. Tried to call the landline but no one picked it. I was given a room on the top floor and AC wasent working, was given a new room, but the bath area lacked the glass partition, the hooks were there but no glass, so the washroom was spalshed with water all over. The place is beautiful but needs maintenance and proper instructions on how to get there.

This is a breathtakingly beautiful building whose architecture reflects the richness and depth of the history of Tunis. The suite was spacious and very comfortable. The courtyard, with its original tiles, elaborately decorated pillars and arches and marble floor are hypnotising. The evening receptionist and the daytime one were very pleasant and helpful.

There was a tiny little issue with a smell originating from the shower room. I suspect this is due to underuse and I’m sure some easy measures could be put in place to remedy the situation such as bleach or other detergents.

Beautiful building and beautiful rooms! The hammam is great and our masseuse was lovely. Location is perfect, right in the medina. Most of the staff was very friendly and helpful, though not always as available as we would have liked. The hotel is definitely not 5-star worthy, but nevertheless it was a good deal and we had a great stay.

Breakfast had a lot of options but they were mostly extremely sweet, I would have liked a bit more savoury options and some extra fruit. The woman who served breakfast was clearly not enjoying her job and was not hospitable. The taxi transfer was a big rip off, we realized later we paid way too much for this and we even had to wait half an hour for the driver after we landed. I would recommend you take a normal taxi from the airport.

The Historic room was large & very well decorated with authentic furniture and mosaic tiles. Breakfast (and the coffee) was very good! The location made it easy to walk in town and in the Medina. We enjoyed two very delicious meals at the restaurant and enjoyed the live music. We also enjoyed the hammam at the hotel.

My husband & I both had the full Hammam which included soak, scrub, herb treat, and an hour massage. (240 DT or $77 per person) The experience felt good although I don’t think we got a full hour massage which was disappointing.
