Great location. Uber is super easy to get around or the metro stop is a couple of 100m away. A lot of reviews comment on the noise from street; It really wasn't very noticeable (could be that we were floor 3 however), but bring ear plugs if you a light sleeper. There is a good Chinese/sushi place opposite, and an Irish style bar a few doors away. Pharmacy opposite. 5 mins walk from Galata tower. Tips: bring your own coffee sachets if you don't like 3-in-1 Nescafe. There was a cafetiere, so bring your own ground coffee. A few tea bags and sugar lumps.

Amazing! Been here in 2019 with our first child and 2022 with our second. So with 2 kids, the space, kitchenette, bed, bathroom, room service..everything was awesome! Both times, incredible experience, super convenient location wise and everything is just near by. The market around the corner for all our needs, the best coffeeshop ‘Noir Pit’ across the road for great coffee and breakfast and the best Italian Pizza ever ‘Miss Pizza’ right next to the property. Taksim is 2 mins away. With 2 strollers it was super easy to get around. Every person at the reception was always helpful and willing to give the best tips. They have the best team. We had taxi booked couple of times to get around outlet malls with no extra charge. Will definitely come back when in Istanbul and recommend everyone with family and kids to stay here.

Galata M84 made our Istanbul stay unforgettable. The location is ideal - it's right beside a subway stop and very close to the funicular. It's also located in a street full of restaurants and stores, and just a few meters away from Istiklal Street. Our apt was spacious, stylish, and very clean, with thoughtful amenities and comfortable beds. Easy to use washing machine was a plus! Majority of the staff were welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The rooftop terrace is a gem. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Istanbul and would definitely stay here again.

While our stay at Galata M84 was generally pleasant, we found the first receptionist we encountered a bit cold and unfriendly, which impacted the warm welcome we expected. But he was just one and the 4 others were so nice and helpful. We could also hear the loud noise from the streets all night. Maybe the apartments need better soundproofing.

This a large apartment considering the traditional hotel options in the same price point. The location was perfect for access to the metro, funicular, restaurants, shopping and entertainment. I would highly recommend staying here. We didn't use the kitchen so can't speak to the quality of the equipment but it is ample to entertain.

Stop pumping the floral air freshener in the hall, it was nauseating. If you were trying to cover the smoking smell it just mixes with it and is worse than the smoke smell alone.

The location is absolutely perfect, the tube station is right across the road, the tunnel train station is just up the stairs, pretty nice restaurants and cafes are also right outside the door. The reception staff are very friendly and helpful, also available 24 hours a day. The view from our Junior Suite terrace was amazing!

The area the hotel is in is pretty happening, which is good on the one hand but isn’t so great if you actually want to sleep well at night :) Our bedroom windows were pretty old, the living room had newer ones, so it wasn’t as noisy. Some blackout curtains for the bedroom would also be great.

Excellent location - 200 metres to heritage tram station, 59 metres to Shisane metro, 250 metres to Istiklal street. Plus you’re spoilt for choice on food, cafés, bars in walking distance Best of all, very supportive staff, acting with ownership, guided us around. In a city with language problems, non-trustworthy cabbies, you need the hotel staff to be helpful, attentive with suggestions, guidance. Mr Murad specially, very very helpful. Best of all, the 2 BR apartment is thoughtfully designed, very bright, everything works! We loved staying indoors!

Small negligible issues

Our 9-day stay at Galata M84 was extremely comfortable. We booked the junior suite with a terrace on the 4th floor - it was very roomy and well-appointed. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful. Even though the apartment was in a busy area, it was reasonably quiet, with a bit of street noise but not much. It is very handily located next to the metro station and a short walk to the cable car railway which took us down to the tram. There are lots of cafes and bars in the area and we enjoyed exploring the surrounding streets. The weather was quite cool when we were in Istanbul but the apartment was nice and warm. We felt very safe the whole time we were there.

At one stage there must have been some water leaking in the kitchen so the floorboards were raised up. These had been taped down but I tripped over them several times so it would be handy to get these fixed. We couldn't get the washing machine to work so it would be useful to have some instructions about how to use it. Plus we found the lighting in the lounge a little dark for reading. Perhaps some extra lights would be useful.

The property is exactly as shown in the photos. Everything was very comfortable and exceptionally clean. The location was perfect with easy access to everything, especially when the front desk informed us of the ‘Tunel’ for travelling up and down the hill from Karakoy - the streets can be very steep so this was big help!

Our only concern was the noise at night. The windows include a vent and the central location means there can be a lot of noise. Better windows to help with sound reduction would be a good idea.

Our stay in Istanbul was nothing short of magical, thanks to our wonderful hotel experience. Situated near the iconic Galata Tower, the hotel offered us spacious and comfortable accommodation, accommodated our group of four girls, complete with a charming balcony boasting picturesque views. The polite and attentive staff made us feel welcomed, and the surrounding area teeming with coffee shops and restaurants provided ample dining options. Being close to Galata Tower allowed us easy access to this historic landmark, making our stay truly unforgettable.
