Outstanding location to access main sites for a first time visitor to Istanbul. Surprisingly quiet at night and staff are exceptionally attentive (they help you right away!). We stayed in a deluxe double sea view room with balcony which was very large and had a separate doored seating area (which is nice if someone wants to stay up later). Beds comfortable (main bed would be what I call a double). Small balcony with view of rooftops and river. Bathroom clean and adequate (not spa like if that is your thing). Overall I think this hotel provides great value for your money, especially if you like a larger room to spread out a bit. I looked at many, many hotels and this one offered the best location and facilities for the price. Only minor complaint would be very limited closet space but not a deal breaker. Breakfast is fresh with lots of variety. Would stay here again without hesitation.

Hotel Amira is in a great location surrounded by plenty of restaurants and bars and only a short walk to the Blue Mosque and all the attractions. The breakfast buffet was fabulous and you must try the Gozleme made to order by the lovely lady in an adjacent room. Our room was spacious with a good balcony with sea and street views. The roof top bar/restaurant does nice meals and is a great place to watch the sun go down in the evening sipping on a glass of Rose. The reception staff went above and beyond with recommendations and assistance - they were absolutely delightful.

Hotel Amira Istanbul is a very cozy hotel in Fatih district in the central Istanbul. The staff is very friendly and always eager to help. Major sightseeings such as Hagia Sofia and Sultanahmet Mosques are very close as well as historical center of the city. Hotel doesn't have a lot of rooms so it never feels crowded and staff always pays attention to visitors' needs and wellbeing. We had breakfast included which consisted of quite a lot of offerings such as nuts, yoghurts, cheese and meat cuts. There also was a possibility to order very tasty gözleme with customized filling. We look forward to stay in this hotel again when we visit Istanbul next time.

Hotel Amira really exceeded my expectations. The hotel is in a perfect location, maybe a 5 minute walk to the Blue Mosque and another 5 minutes to the Aya Sofia/Hippodrome area. Being in the old city (Sultanahmet) is a must for a first-time visit to Istanbul, and this charming boutique hotel sits at the perfect location. It’s also down the street from the lesser-known but very cool “Mini-Aya Sofia” which is actually older than the Aya Sofia. The staff was very kind, welcoming, and eager to help in orienting us to the city. They helped us with restaurant recommendations and with booking a sunset tour on the Bosphorus, all of which we really enjoyed. Their breakfast is absolutely amazing! They have fresh cheeses, breads, jams, olives, fruits, eggs, and—best of all—there’s a sweet lady who prepares you fresh bread from scratch that can be filled with cheese, minced meat, spinach, and other things to have along with everything else. Breakfast alone makes this hotel worth the stay! The beds were also really comfortable. I slept very well every night that I was there, and surprisingly, the walls are nice and soundproof to any street noise and the curtains are black-out. Honestly, I really missed this hotel after I left. We went to Cappadocia, and afterwards had one more day in Istanbul before we left back home. Since Hotel Amira was all booked for our second time in Istanbul, we had to stay in a huge hotel along the Bosphorus for that night, and it just didn’t have the same charm as this hotel. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it 100% to anyone who travels to Istanbul!

Sometimes, the WiFi would cut out or wouldn’t work as well. But every time we’d call the front desk, they would try to reset it, which would normally take care of the problem for a while!

Great location, lovely breakfast and comfortable and clean accommodation, but the stars of the hotel are it’s staff. They were so helpful and friendly and even managed to get us decaffeinated coffee for our room! I would highly recommend this hotel if you are planning to stay in the Sultanahmet location. The roof top bar is fabulous for a drink at the end of the day and if you arrive back after it’s closed you can take your own drink up there to enjoy the view and reflect on your days experiences. Simply wonderful.

Nothing to say.

The staff was amazing from day 1. They helped us with the transport from and to the airport. They helped us find good restaurants and activities (and even lended us a public transportation card we could use). They even prepared us a sandwich on our way back to the airport because we had to leave before breakfast time. The hotel itself is beautiful and in a great location, close to many touristic attractions. The breakfast has a great variety and they even have a rooftop bar/restaurant which has amazing food and drinks with a great view of the city and the sea. We preferred to eat there like 2 or 3 times when we were too tired to go out after all the walking. Our hotel room was really spacious and clean with a beautiful balcony, great view, and silent. We normally sleep with open windows and I was afraid I would wake up with the morning noices, but it never happened. A special thank you to Yasar Kartal who is the waiter at the hotel rooftop cafe/restaurant. He was super attentive with out needs, showed us interest and was extremely kind. It's that kind of service you don't see very often, where you can feel that he works from his heart and puts everything into it. We really thank him for the times he served us with so much dedication! All in all, we can only recommend this hotel. We'd definitely choose this hotel again if we were to visit Istanbul again. We really enjoyed our stay there!

There was nothing we didn't like, really. We can't think of anything that could be improved. Only recommendation we can think of (but maybe that's our personal preference) is to have harder mattresses. The bed was a bit too soft for our taste, but because we prefer harder/firmer mattresses since they are better foe the spine.

It was an amazing experience staying at Amira in Istanbul. I don't know all the names at reception desk but each and every staff member in all three shifts was amazing. We felt like home. Breakfast was outstanding. Staff in the breakfast area was very humble and courteous. Oh I remember one name, Sam at reception....but as I said, each and every staff member was GREAT. Anytime we ask for anything, it was provided within seconds. Since it was our 1st time in Istanbut, the staff helped us out so well that we neither need the map nor a GPS.I would definitely recommend Hotel Amira to all my friendsand family to stay there. And anytime, we are back in Istanbul, Hotel Amira is my 2nd home.

Light in Washroom. It was great for regular basis but please do consider white and bright light for women like me that do professional makeup on daily basis and if a Magnified mirror is attached to the wall.

Very nice little hotel located in a very busy area of the central old town. Rooms are clean and big enough, the bed is comfortable. Breakfast nothing special but good enough. They have a nice and spacious roof terrace with a good view. Best is the staff, which is polite, attentive and helpful. They help you to get a cab and negotiate a fixed price for you, which is particularly important in Istanbul, where the chance to NOT getting ripped off by a taxi driver is exactly zero.

I booked the room many months in advance, nevertheless they gave me the least attractive room on the ground floor, next to the breakfast room, which made it necessary to keep the blinds of the window (which shows to the road) closed at all time. On the flip side, at least they did not cancel my reservation even after realising that thanks to the Champions League final happening in the city, they could have rented the room for three times the money. Many other hotels did exactly this, and left people stranded.

I only had the chance to stay at this hotel with my mother for 2 nights, but they were great! That's why I'm writing a review from her profile, I really wanted to say how good this experience was. The hotel was simply wonderful! The rooms were very cozy, clean and had a really nice view. The receptionists and other workers are very friendly, helpful and always ready to recommend a place to eat or help order a PCR test. The location is perfect: it's close to tourist attractions (such as the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia) and the historical center of the city in general, but far enough from them to not have lots of tourists around the hotel. Breakfast, which is included, is very good and also gives you an opportunity to order a flatbread hand-made by a nice woman right before your eyes with the fillings you choose. You can't forget the rooftop restaurant: it has a breathtaking view (it's shown on the photos) and delicious food.

We really didn't want to leave

The advice and help from the reception desk staff before we arrived on arranging a taxi and of course on a daily basis regarding what to see, transport options and where to eat ( both recommendations were exceptional ). The Amira’s own roof terrace on arrival was very good and set the scene for a memorable 4 nights in the city. The beds were very comfortable, the furnishings clean and cared for, the breakfast outstanding in a welcoming breakfast room. Loads of space in our room. So near all main historical sights and with the help of the tram all sights we wanted to visit were seen and experienced.

The view was underwhelming but still appreciated for sunset and overview of the Istanbul skyline.
