I stayed at this hotel 5 nights together with my 24-year-old son. The location was absolutely perfect for exploring the old city centre and the riverfront, and very easy to get to other parts of the city by tram or metro. The breakfast was huge. And the hotel staff was the kindest and most helpful staff we have ever met at a hotel. Just one example: We got cheated by the taxi driver on our way from the airport, and the hotel staff helped us with finding the driver and contacting the tourist police so we actually got our money back. All the staff knew who we were, and they were keen to follow up on all plans and arrangements that we made. They were sooo nice. It really felt like home.

We stayed 8 nights in a room for 3 people. Nice booking. Eccellent reception. Incredible location!, Room very spacious, comfortable, with sofa, fridge, cofee maker, great bathroom, good soundproofing, Turkiye breakfast in roofgarden. Everything always clean. Special attention from staff: Mr Yusef in breakfast is kind and allways with good attitude and a big smile! The staff from reception really good, helped us to get a taxi to airport and all kind of advices and tips to enjoy.

Minor things to review from the hotel. Maybe begining breakfast earlier (begins at 8 a.m.) and in Istanbul time in morning is very important (crowds, CROWDS!); also to give little meal variety (for me all was nice, but for my wife and daughter no, since all days the same). The sun in mornings beats many tables at breakfast. A.C. control is just in one position and just can manage intensity and . .turn off, but works. I will come back for sure!

We loved everything about this hotel. The location is excellent, just around the corner from the Hagia Sofia and Blue Mosque and in a picturesque street with lovely bars, restaurants and shops. The restaurant directly in front of the hotel is particularly notable. Yusuf who helps at breakfast is friendly and lovely and the breakfast roof terrace is fab, overlooking the water and with a view of the Blue Mosque. I would have liked if there were plain oats for breakfast and nuts and dried fruits as we had enjoyed in a previous hotel. The room was very comfortable.

1) Great location and very close walking distance to the main attractions on the Europe side. 2) Decent breakfast with hot and cold options. Need to pay extra for things like orange juice, scrambled eggs etc but there’s enough choice that you hardly need to order separate food. 3) Helpful front desk staff who provide a free map of the area and recommendations on where to eat, help with booking an airport taxi etc 4) Great terrace with amazing view of the Blue Mosque at night

1) The restaurants the hotel recommends are more expensive (and very touristic) in general and the food was not all that good in some of the restaurants. But some of their recommendations while relatively expensive (for Istanbul) were good. So suggest to check out online reviews of those restaurants before going

The breakfast was good, served Turkish style, which is healty. We were served by a very helpful & friendly young man. We loved the breakfast patio & feeding the cats. It was exquisite. It rained the 2nd & 3rd days, so we ate inside. It was equally fine.

We highly recommend the hotel. Mustafa at the front desk is friendly and extremely helpful. He answered all of our questions with patience. The only warnings are if you are on the southwest side, bring ear plugs. Starting about 9pm the two bars across the narrow street start loud music, which lasts until midnight or after. This is nothing on the hotel. Just bring earplugs. Also, if you want cold wine or beer, it is on the premise, but no one had the key. I asked each day & the response was we don't have the key. We were told to purchase at one of the near markets, but there the wine is on the shelf & is not cold. Despite these blips we would definitely stay again. We recommend that you go up to the roof terrace. The view of the city & the Bosporus is sublime. Don't miss the terrace!

The rooms were super clean and the hotel had this antique feel. The receptionists were very helpful, particularly Mustafa. The breakfast service was also good. The terrace was cool but unfortunately the terrace bar wasn't open when I was there because of the winter season the best part about the hotel was it's proximity to the T1 tram line and various big attractions like the sultahnamet mosque, hagia Sofia, and basilica cistern. I never had to take a taxi anywhere.

The room temperature was consistently hot and there wasn't much I could do to change that. The hotel fell on the expensive side for me (~70) per night, but you can decide its value for yourself.

The Sari Konak is in a lovely part of Istanbul, only a few hundred yards from the two great mosques, and the same distance from the Bosphorus. Across the road are two beautiful restaurants with delicious food at reasonable prices. A plentiful breakfast is served on the roof, accompanied by views of the Blue Mosque and (again) the Bosphorus. Just round the corner is another hotel with a lovely courtyard bar serving wine and beer at a good price. This was a most delightful place to stay, with very friendly and helpful staff.

Beautiful rooms and spacious family room. Pretty decor. A/c worked well in hot summer. Gave us two rooms on first floor floor my family so easier. Good breakfast buffet. Good location. Very convenient to see the attractions.

They wanted to charge me extra for my 6 yr old even though I already paid for two rooms plus booking.com said it was free for kids . They asked me three times and don't know why. Other than that customer service was very good and always helpful.

Superb Location. All historical top tourist attractions are accessible by walk and public transport. Plenty of eating out and traditional shopping options around. Internet was superb. Air conditioning and water supply superb. Front desk always helpful and ready to provide support as and when required. Room was the same as advertised. Our room was cleaned daily. Breakfast at terrace with a very nice and lovely sea view. Very polite and helpful staff who serve breakfast.

No negatives, but there are always areas of improvement to be shared honestly. We felt that the breakfast was same on daily basis and its very basic but of good quality. Some breakfast variety to be added. Also we stayed at ground floor and due to a very lively area there is some noise issues due to playing music in surroundings. We used to be so tired daily after full day of site seeing so it didn't bothered us much however can be a concern for quiet sleepers. It is better to improve the sound proofing of ground floor room due to vicinity of restaurants.

Great location in the thick of it all. Tasty breakfast buffet on the rooftop terrace with wonderful views. Pretty good-sized bathroom with one of the best showers I've ever experienced. We spent 7 nights here and after a long day exploring amazing Istanbul in the summertime heat we came home tired and sticky. My nightly showers at the Sari Konak turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip! The reception staff spoke good English and knew their neighborhood. They were therefore able to make good recommendations and give clear directions. Staff let us borrow a subway card that we could use to refill subway fair. Very convenient!

Just a few minor quibbles: Room supplies were not refilled. We had to ask for toilet paper and after day 5 of 7 we really could have used another little bar of soap. (Good thing we brought our own.) The AC dripped the whole time into the bucket provided. It was obviously a long-term problem they seemed disinclined to fix. One night the bucket wasn't in the right spot to catch the drips and there was a bit of a flood.
