A very cozy place - ideal if you don't want to break the bank while staying 5 minutes away from the main historical landmarks. The location is perfect, the area feels safe in the evening. Be prepared to climb hills, though, as most of the streets in the area are quite steep. The personnel are all extremely friendly and helpful. They made a few really good recommendations, including the best place to eat in the neighborhood. The reception is open 24/7, which is rather convenient. They also provide tea, coffee and water. We opted out of breakfast, but there's a couple of very affordable places around to get a nice morning meal. The room itself was clean and as we expected - like in the photos. Our windows were facing the bay and we could watch ferries - very beautiful in the evening. All in all, the best you can get for the price!

It wasn't big, but the ceiling was high, so it didn't feel claustrophobic.

Close to the main mosques: Hiya Sophia, Blue Mosque and Top Kapi. There are restaurants nearby. Very helpful and friendly staff, they will help you to pick and book the best attractions in Istanbul. Overall, it's good value for money.

No elevator within the building and after a long walk it's a torture getting up to the 5th floor)) also the hotel is located down the hill so you'll need to go up and down the hill every day so might not be suitable for the elderly people.

Great value for money! This was an excellent place for a short stay. Staff is super friendly. The facility does not have an elevator but staff go above and beyond to help you with your luggage. Other things we liked were WiFi, breakfast (value for money), free water (saved us some $$$) that you can use to fill up your bottles.. staff recommended some tours and things to see which were ok.

Please do not expect Rixos. This is a small boutique hotel in a good location. Please be mindful of Istanbul roads, which are never a straight line. The walk to the hotel with a suitcase was both super easy but it was not long because it is close to the tramway stop.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful - with good advice and arrangements when needed - laundry, taxi, places to visit, information and on last day after booking out and waiting to leave for the airport. Facility was very well placed close to all the main attractions and transport. Even the cats were friendly and welcomed us!

When we arrived, my first thoughts were that it is not the best area, but later we realized it is maybe one block away from the flashy parts, but still very conveniently situated close to all places we wanted to visit.

It is a cozy, clean hotel, with beautiful stairs with flowers at the entrance. The room was according to the reservation, clean, clean and comfortable bathroom. The staff speaks English more or less fluently. They are all very friendly and go out of their way to help.

Breakfast is served in the small hotel next door where the receptionist is not so friendly. Although for € 5 you can not pretend much. Breakfast is available at 8:30 so if you have to leave for a tour earlier, you can not take it.

A very friendly,family atmosphere hotel with an excellent location in a very cozy street, 5 minits walk from the Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque. There are many restaurants, cafes and supermarkets in the next street, about 2-3 minutes walk away. We stayed in a double room with balcony with wonderful view for the Sea of Marmara, from where we witnessed beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The hotel staff were very kind and helpful, they helped us in everything. It was a special positive for us,that on a table next to the reception, everything needed to make coffee and tea was found. So everyone can make themselves free tea and coffee in the morning. Hand washing, shampoo and shower gel are also available in the bathroom. We were completely satisfied with the Tulip House, we recommend it to everyone who visits to Istanbul.

There was only one thing missing from the room, there was no glass suitable for drinking.

A great place to stay for a couple if days. The price / quality hotel. Sweet staff, good location, nice room (we booked with sea view and it was totally worth it). A special thanks to the lady in the kitchen, she cooks a great omelet and overall breakfast was very decent. Room was very well cleaned every day!

A single bed was with a poor mattress, it might be ok for a kid but if you weight 80+ kg it wont be comfortable. Double bed on a contrary was with a perfect mattress. There also was a minor leakage in the bathroom when you take shower.

The hotel was in a very strategic street, away from loud noises but close enough to be able to visit the main attractions in two days. When we arrived we were put in a sea-view room even tho we had paid for a normal room but sadly the AC wasn’t working so the guy at the reception switched our rooms free of charge. He was very nice and available. Also the breakfast was great and the lady chef was amazing. The best eggs omelette I’ve had!

The rooms were a little dusty in my opinion, like the ac unit and the heaters but nothing to complain about

We stayed there for 5 nights, the staff from the hotel was really friendly and helpful, location was much better than expected as it was just 10 minute walking from Hagie Sofia, also many restaurants and shops next to the hotel. The room was spacious and bright, on the 4th floor without an elevator but the staff helped us to bring our luggage up.
