staff are friendly, food is good, location is good

It was my 3rd visit to beautiful city of istanbul and kadikoy this place is like my second home. Past 2 times I have stayed at Bağdat Caddesi side this time by chance found out about the gate hotel its a new property well maintained and centrally located, cafes restaurants, bakeries, doner and kebab shops are within the reach. Reaching kadikoy sahil is also easy with the buses and taxi available on the street. Special thanks to Dilan Honim and Ogoz Bey at the reception for making our stay comfortable and thanks to the housekeeping staff Gayan for keeping our room neat and clean. overall comfortable and convenient stay. The room was small but had everything we needed. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is located on a busy street and it is easy to get a bus down to Kadakoy or the ferry to old town. The metro was nearby and we used that to get around too. The staff were nice and the neighborhood was great fun, lots of nice restaurants within easy reach.

Most of the staff spoke poor English and one day a staff member called a taxi for my husband who had an appointment. Sadly the staff member failed to find a taxi but did not tell my husband so he was quite late. That was not okay.

Very close to Marmaray and easy walkable to Kadikoy. It is located on the same street as lots of different shops and restaurants

There’s a few bits that could turn this into a 5 star hotel. There are no bedside tables, but stools. There is also no toothbrush holder in the bathroom. In the hotel description, it says “free toiletries”. Don’t get too excited. This consists of a soap dispensers in the bathroom - not the typical toiletries. When we wanted cleaning, only the bed was made. There was nothing else involved

Spa and massage were great. Breakfast outside Cats were awesome. Great amenities close by and decent location. The price was great value for money. The WiFi was fast. Hot showers The daily clean. Good concierge and availability by WhatsApp.

Room was a bit small for us and we needed more cupboard space. Bedside cabinets would have been more useful than a stool. The TV didn't have any real English channels available. This said these were minor issues in an otherwise great value hotel.

The place was nice enough, the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well decorated. The bathroom and shower were good. Useful lights witch system allows you to notify cleaners when to clean or not. AC leaked twice, first time a maintenance guy fixed it and the second they changed my room quickly without issue. Internet is fast.

It's easier to pick the bad things. The double bed was just two beds together making a big dip in the middle, my AC leaked twice and had to change rooms, the location is boring not much nearby - my mistake in booking I suppose, the elevators are slow and sometimes don't respond, some guests were very loud until late at night and no-one warned them - doesn't help the walls are thin.

The hotel location is very convinient, right next to the bus station and few minutes away from the train station. the area is full of nice restaurents and small grocery shops , and a walking distance from very nice spices shops and small sovouniers shops as well Hotel staff during the check out were very helpful in arranging transportation to the air port and facilitating the check out process Also close to two great shopping malls, Emaar Square and Optimum Outlet Mall , only 15 minutes by bus. Again Omer didn't stop to surprise me with his good hospitality thank u

The size of the room does fit for more than 2 adults

I had an amazing stay at The Gate Kadıköy Downtown in Istanbul's lively Kadıköy neighborhood, where receptionist Ömer's warm and friendly demeanor made me feel immediately welcome and the hotel's clean and modern rooms, alongside its fantastic location near numerous restaurants and easy access to public transportation, made it a top choice for anyone visiting Istanbul's Asian side for a memorable and delightful experience.

Rooms are not perfectly soundproof, if you are planning to sleep a bit late expect a bit of noise, I think that mostly comes from the bottom of the room door.

- Great value for money - It’s located in the suburbs which makes it feel authentic. - There are a number of little restaurants within walking distance that are affordable - The Marmaray subway station is also within walking distance

We were only given one bath towel for each of the last two days of our stay, which was a little strange. But it was probably just an oversight.

Amazing location. Superb breakfast. Clean and fresh rooms. Beyond friendly staff. I especially wanted to say thank you to my hero Mert from house keeping for all his help with finding me a phone charger when I desperately needed one. Also Aysima and Ayşe from reception were super kind and helpful. Thank you so much for making my stay amazing.
