Hay Hotel is one of the best hotels I've stayed in, thanks to the staff and the facilities. The room is modernly equipped and is much more beautiful than in the pictures. The bed is very comfortable, the bathroom is large and modern. I felt like at home. I especially thank him The breakfast is fantastic, the restaurant staff very attentive to your needs, the only real minus is that the restaurant staff do not speak English, apart from 2 of them, which makes communication a bit difficult. The location is a dream, you have the sea next to you, the pedestrian street with terraces, restaurants, shops, etc. If I come to Izmir again, I will definitely stay at Hay Hotel Alsankac again!

An excellent hotel with a perfect location in a lively area with access to the metro, ferry, tram and Alsancak's vibrant boulevards. Very polite and attentive staff. The rooms have an intelligent communication system with an electronic display outside the room to request cleaning, do not disturb and to inform that the room was occupied. On my last day I had to leave before breakfast and asked for a breakfast pack to take with me. They prepared a marvellous, thoughtful breakfast in the best Turkish style.

Location was perfect. Right next to a long promenade that had plenty of cafes, restaurants, shops and supermarket. We absolutely recommend exploring the side streets here at night as there were great bars on every corner with a buzzing atmosphere. The view was great overlooking the harbour from our room and you can reach it by foot in less than 5 minutes. You can also catch a ferry from the harbour and visit Karsikaya which was a great sea side town worth a visit! Room was a little small but served its purpose and more importantly it was clean with a nice big shower, modern and a very comfortable bed! There is a lift in the hotel which was super convenient for our bags and the reception staff were very friendly. One night I was sitting outside having a cigarette and the receptionist gave me a free coffee which was so sweet. Would definitely come back here if we return to Izmir and the price is affordable. Thank you!

The kindest staff I have ever met in any hotel. All people at the reception were super helpful and accommodating. We arrived in two groups, with one arriving at 5 AM. Yet, the staff were so kind to prepare the rooms as early as they could. My bag also was delayed and they helped me calling the airport to speak Turkish to the lost/found department and followed up every day till the bag was returned. The location is also fantastic, with only 2 minute walk to the beach and many restaurants, bars and cafes around.

We were in İzmir for a few days and wanted to stay in Alsancak this time. From there we used the ferry boat and the metro. Thanks to the good reviews, we decided to stay at the Hay Hotel. We were satisfied and felt safe. You can only get into the room with the room card via the elevator. The breakfast was sufficient and we liked it. The room was clean and the beds comfortable.

The only drawback, which was not different in any smaller hotel in Turkey, is the isolation. Inside you didn't hear much from the neighbors. However, you could hear everything from the street. Unfortunately, this safe didn't work and the doorknob on the toilet door fell out. Nevertheless, we would recommend the hotel and come back.

Our room was very clean, large and well appointed. The hotel is not close to the old city, but there are lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. A bit plus is being right next to the kordon, the promenade along the harbor. Breakfast consisted of a nice assortment of breads, cheese, olives, etc. to go along with some nice warm dishes (eggs one day, french toast the next). The buffet is short on fruit, but other than that, there are plenty of choices. This is a good hotel for the price in a nice location.

Our room appeared to be used by smokers. There was an ash tray in the room. If this is a problem, I would check to make sure they give you a non-smoking room.

Nice hotel, right at the heart of Alsancak. 2 min away from sea. Ofcourse with center location come noise which can't be helped. But it didn't bother us much.

Staff were amazing! Specially Ada and Arjan(hope i said your name correct😁) welcoming you every morning with big smiles at breakfast. Thank you both, and good luck with your studies Ada 😉. Ofcourse reception staff and room service staff were amazing too.

Everything was great. The hotel is located in a wonderful area with a lot of cafés and restaurants nearby. We even managed to find two Korean street food places. The hotel itself is very modern and I really enjoyed its style. The breakfast buffet they serve there is quite varied in my opinion. Even my picky husband could find what to eat.

The only problem I can think of is the fact that sometimes we could smell cigarette smoke in our room all of a sudden.

Very centrally located, especially if you want to go out at night. The décor of the hotel was fun and the vibe perfectly fit the city. The staff was friendly and helpful and spoke English well.

The breakfast was good, but maybe not amazing, if that's really really important to you.

The hotel is located in a fantastic area close to around 400 restaurants, bars and cafes. The railway station is a 5 minute walk, the Izmir clock tower is a 3-4 km walk & the bus station can be reached in 10 minutes by car. If you want to visit Ephesus ruins & house of Virgin Mother Mary the Hay Hotel is the best place to stay because it is so easy to get to the train station and then get to Ephesus. You can also get to the hotel seamlessly from the airport by taking the train at Adnan Menderes station to Alsancak.

The breakfast spread could have been much better.
