Great location near Souq Waqif and the metro. Good for a 3 star, imagine it was a 4 star originally. Room was big alhough weirdly had a microwave and full set of kitchen cupboards but no plates or cutlery. Maybe you can borrow from reception? If you arrive early (which your flight probably does) you can pay 100 QAR for early check in, not an extra nights accommodation which he tried to charge me first. Breakfast was good and staff in there as well as the cleaner were lovely.

Make sure you know exactly what you've booked, the guy on reception who wasn't that friendly considering his job tried to get me to pay for things I'd already prepaid for. Hotel spammed me with multiple emails the week before offering expensive upgrades. Think there must be smoking rooms, it definitely smelled like it. Ring for your own taxi to the airport, half the price of what guy on reception quoted if he phoned up for me.

- Location near Souq Wakif and Metro Station, shops and restaurants. - There is bath tub in the room, though small. - There is gym and swimming pool, though the swimming pool is small. - They provided early check-in and late check-out. - Quick check-in and check-out procedure. - They were responding to messages in Booking.com before arrival.

- There is no parking in the hotel, we have to use street parking, it is hard to find the space around the hotel. Recommended to park behind the Metro Station where there is a large parking space. - During check in, in the reception, the other receptionist (a young lady) was arguing with other staff, looked unprofessional, they should have settled internal issue not in front of customer. - The table and chair were not comfortable to work with my computer. - I called the reception to get a toothbrush, I didn't come for about half an hour that I had to call again to remind them.

The hotel was in good location, metro station was across the road. Local shops for food, clothing, souveneirs every corner. Souq waqif is few minutes walking distance as you walk through the streets of shops and browse. Staff very helpful and friendly, smiling willing to help. When we checked out, they check the rooms straight away and they found we left something in the rooms and informed us immediately, we were leaving for the airport which we really appreciate.

Everything was ok, for a 10 rating if you have cutlery, plates, glasses etc in the kitchen area, as there are none.

Very comfortable location, not very far from airport, right on a souk.

No toothbrush, toothpaste, shaving kits, bathroom sleepers or robe were provided, just pretty basic.

The location of the hotel is very good, especially as I visited in August when it was extremely hot and humid. The entrance to the metro station is located one minute walk from the hotel, and then you can get anywhere you need from there. It is also close to Souq Waqif, the National Museum, MIA, and the Corniche. The view from my window was also nice. The room was spacious, and they cleaned it every day. I also used the gym several times, and it was good.

Great place to spend the night on a longer layover in Doha. Kingsgate Hotel is very conveniently located in the central area of Doha, close to a metro station, and they also provided us with a (payed) transfer service from/to the airport. So, it was a great option to take a rest and to explore a bit the city center. The room was very large and comfortable, with all the necessary amenities, and the staff was really nice with us the whole time.

The room lacked power plugs: the few they had were mostly being used by the lamps, minifridge... There was also some dust in the room.

It would be nice to facilitate a little more period, even less than half.a.day.. before taking a purchased Airport Transfer .. especially: 1. For evening Flights; 2. Guests who stayed for a full Week or close to 2weeks.. Room AC Thermostat probably needs to be checked; Breakfast: Needs to be more clearly indicated, as 40 QRs (if prebooked), and not the usual 50QRs); Airport Pickup: Needs to be indicated as available, (for 50QRs); I think I had seen it as 80!! I got free upgrade from Booking and then I received another upgrade at the side so for 40 euros for night I stayed in huge suite with kitchen and living room with large window with view of the whole Doha. Cannot complain. The hummus at breakfast was delicious.

The location was little bit uncomfortable for women walking there alone in the evening because I saw only large groups of men on the street, no women. But everyone was friendly, it just felt little bit weird. Not the hotels fault of course, just might make someone uncomfortable, so letting know.

The hotel arranged a taxi for me to pick me up at the airport. It was not cheap, but acceptable for a first time visit to Doha.

The TV did not want to switch on. They have send someone to fix it while I was out. It worked when I came back. The next did it did not want to switch on again. The air conditioner was complicated to figure out. When I arrived in the room it was as cold as a refrigerator. I requested that someone come to make it warmer. This person apparently did not know how it was working. Later I had to request another "technician". He explained to me that it cannot make warmer than 21 degrees. He said it was better to switch it off. The hotel reception is suppose to know that and a user friendly information card should be attached next to the air conditioning switch.
