Wonderful, extremely polite and helpful staff, who are available to help 24/7! Excellent daily house-keeping on my room. Enjoyed the walking distances to Souq Waqif and Msheireb area (both 5min walk), walk to metro is about 10min and to the Corniche St shore about 10min. Otherwise, helpful staff always ordered a car for me upon request! Note: the swimming pool opening hours and gym (these were surprise to me, as I hadnt checked in advance). Towels provided at these. Didn’t test the breakfast, but enjoyed the kettle in the room for Nescafe+Tea and the mini-fridge. Very comfy bed: slept very well here. Stayed for a week at Royal Qatar hotel, and would stay again next time in Doha. Very good value-for-money! Sukhran!

Friendly and helpful staff, good location and nice view from the hotel room. Uber was never more than 1 min away and walking distance to many things

It was a smoking room (didn't think anyone did that anymore) and not possible to open the windows, so smelled bad. Windows had not been washed in a long time, which was a shame since the view was really nice.

Everything is fine about Royal Qatar Hotel I really like this hotel consider is my first time to visit but everything was perfect,the lobby is large and ambiance The staffs were very professional from my check in there was an Arab lady very professional and welcoming the rooms are large and very comfortable And during check out was very smooth I found a Kenyan lady Gati in reception was also very professional and welcoming hope management will consider this 2 women they're an asset to this hotel for sure I will recommend my friends to ROYAL QATAR HOTEL the place to be ,I forgot to mention house keeping team also they're doing very good job ,any assistance they were there to assist great team and May ALLAH bless all the hotel staff's plus management for the well done job

Very good location. About a 10 minute walk to Souq Waqif station. The Staff are Very friendly and helpful. They allowed me to have a late check out. Rooms clean and neat. There is a set menu for breakfast, not a buffet. Breakfast was good and the order came quickly. I didn't use the gym or pool.

Central air conditioning in the room so i couldnt adjust it. It was very cold at night. I am sure someone would've assisted if I told them but I arrived very late at night and just wanted to sleep.

The hotel room was clean and housekeeping did its job every day. The service was good either: all our requests were met in polite manner. The restaurant was out of service but we enjoyed breakfast for 20 qar delivered straight to our room. Swimming pool and gym were available free of additional charge. Mattresses were very comfortable – I had a perfect sleep this week. Nice location - 10-15 min walk from a metro station and very close to Souq which is one of a few traditional vibing places in Doha.

Linens were a bit old, sometimes slightly stained or torn (towels) but not too old to just stop using it. We were ok with it because sustainability matters. What was really bothering: shower cabin was not sealed properly and water from the shower inevitably spilled to the bathroom floor.

- Very friendly guy at the reception. - Fast elevator. - Close to the center. - Nice price. - They let me check in earlier.

- Water was spilling in the bathroom and moreover, you can also feel some bad odor there that water was just staying on the floor and not passing to the sink on the floor. Please fix it and let your cleaning personnel to report this kind of issue to the hotel management. - There are some construction works going on just in front of the hotel, so it's quite loud during the day. - You can see some flecks in different places in the bathroom.

An amazing welcome both by the doorman and the ladies at reception. I arrived at 10am and check-in wasn't until 2pm but the lovely lady checked me in within 30 minutes. All staff were very friendly and polite. The room was inexpensively priced. I chose a twin single bed room on the first floor and the room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel is close to Souq Waqif and close to a few take away food shops and some mini markets. I was a solo female traveller and felt safe and respected at all times by the hotel staff as well as the shop owners in the area. I walked from Souq Waqif to the Hotel at night without a second thought. It was very safe. Thank you Royal Qatar Hotel for welcoming me to your hotel. I would love to stay with you again. There was nothing to not like at the hotel.

Location, comfortable beds, cleanliness, kind staff, strong wifi connection in the room and the wifi works even outside the hotel. Complimentary bottles of water, and I love the fact that there is a kettle in the room including coffee and tea bags. Tips- Uber is cheap and easy to and from the airport, and everywhere else in Doha. I paid around 25 Rial (7 US dollar) from the airport to the hotel.

I was planing to take a nice shower before leaving but no hot/warm water in the shower, and the water came out from the shower to the bathroom's floor. My room no was 305. Please fix the shower :)

I liked the staff conduct especially Gati the receptionist. She was so helpful, polite and friendly. The room was clean and the equipment was in good condition. I arrived late but agreed to give an extra hour to 1pm next day.

They did not provide a toothbrush. No floater jackets for the swimming pool. The bathroom was quite tiny for a big man like me.

We had an 8 hour layover in Doha and decided not to sit in an airport... we choose a lesser expensive hotel since we knew it was really only for a frivolously practical short stay near the Souq Waqif from midnight to 8 am! Our previous stay was at the W and I have to say for the little this place cost I was surprised to see how nice it was. The receptionist and porter were extremely welcoming and friendly. And in our 1 am walk to the Souq we found a few open restaurants and an incredible stoll around the spectacular empty Souq.
