Hampton Inn & Suites Bay City

The rooms were clean. The staff were friendly. I am surprised this place doesn't have more stars. I didn't swim but i did go check it out and it looked clean. There was a handicap accessible equipment to enter the pool we went for continental breakfast the next morning and it served till 10:00 we didn't make it down there till about 9:30 and they were still bringing fresh food out at that time lots of options good will definitely stay there again.

I am weird about mattresses. The mattress was a little too hard for me but everyone's preferences are different.

The hotel is Beautiful! We stayed in a king suite & they was able to accommodate my requests. Due to health issues I asked to be ground level, or if on the floor near a elevator since stairs are Very hard for me. Our suite was Huge! we’ve stayed at a Lot of hotels in different areas & even different Hamptons…& this property is our Favorite! it’s right by multiple restaurants, stores like Meijer, Menards, etc & is just a few min from Bay City State Park & Beach. They have a pretty big indoor pool & it is heated, if I’m honest it was a little warm for me being that it is summer time, but my kid didn’t mind. & they have a lift chair for those who are unable to get in & out via the steps & I Love that they have that so everyone can be included! For their breakfast every morning it was good. They did have different options every day from a Waffel bar, cereal, yogurt, fruit, muffins & bagels; so it was a decently nice spread. But their hot choices was Always eggs, cut potatoes & sausage, & it was good don’t get me wrong! but it would of been nice to maybe have a another style of potatoes & maybe some bacon or ham? But they still had a Lovely breakfast every day, which we ate at every day of our stay & we are Thankful for! The staff was very nice & knowledgeable of the area. We asked for recommendations on areas we should see that the locals love, different restaurants they liked & such & every place they recommended was Wonderful! We did have a situation arise that was at NO fault of the hotel or staff, & even though it was NOT their fault they was Very apologetic & since we had to extend our stay another night they gave us a deal on the room & even gave us a discount on our bill which was not expected at all & we are Very grateful by their kindness! Seriously…if y’all are reading this..Thank You!! When we come back to the area the Hampton in Bay City will Always be our Hotel!

Honestly the only thing I didn’t like was there was no bacon for breakfast & the pool was a little too warm lol & those are hardly complaints! Oh & it’s not just this hotel, but any hotel that does Not have cameras outside really needs to invest! They are NOT that expensive & can Protect your guests & their property; & give your guests peace of mind!

Breakfast was wonderful! Loved the choices! Location of the hotel was great & staff was very friendly and helpful! The room was the cleanest that I've ever experienced in a hotel, as well as the overall hotel experience! I will definitely book with them again!

My only complaint and it is VERY minor, is that the pool was not very warm. Other than that, everything was exceptional!

Really loved all the space in the king room; we brought our dog, so it's always appreciated to have lots of floor space. Big bathroom and comfortable bed.

This is a small thing, but the bed springs were pretty noisy; it didn't bother me too much, but my fiance is a light sleeper, so it was kind of tough for him to hear high-pitched squeaking when either of us moved.

I liked the fact that it was pet friendly even though I did not bring my pet. All the staff I encountered were very polite and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable.

The air conditioner was blowing up the drapery and so it was constant. There wasn't a TV directory in the room or a channel with directions on the programs available. It was difficult to get on the wifi.

Room was spacious, clean and quiet. Everything in the room worked as expected. Breakfast was good, and the coffee was good.

Surprised about the $25 fee that was essentially a 'damage deposit'. Mine was refunded after the room was inspected post checkout, but I haven't encountered this fee before.

The whole living experience is very good - the facilities, breakfast, everything seems good. one thing to note: 1. mechanic clock noise in the room. It is certain that the noise is made by a mechanic clock (ticks about every minute), but can't find it in the room. For people with bad sleep quality, this can be a problem.

Stayed twice in a month as I had an out patient procedure and wanted to avoid a long drive home from hospital at night. Both times our room was very comfortable, quiet and nicely appointed. Breakfast was better than average and hit the spot before we headed for home.

No complaints and cannot really think of anything I would have changed or that I would suggest improving. The location was good, the room comfortable and quiet and breakfast was satisfying.

The staff is always helpful and friendly. Eric is welcoming and ready to help.

We had a dog in the room next door. We had been out late with friends the night before and the next morning the dog started barking at 8:00am. It didn’t stop for almost 2 hours.

Rooms were beautiful so comfortable the pool was nice food was descent. Staff amazing to my family. Hotel was a great get a way in it's self

We tried to book another night with bookings and they booked it for the same day it was a hadel but the staff was very helpful and patient while I figured how to pay for the room again. I am very disappointed in bookings I may be going to Expedia.
