I was surprised how nice and polite the staff was - especially at the reception and in the restaurant. The restaurant manager was very attentive and made sure we had a great stay and the restaurant staff always welcomed us with a smile on their face - including the cooks and waiters. We felt like princesses literally. I also liked that we got fresh towels and free water at the beach. I absolutely recommend this hotel - to me it is a five star hotel, not a four star one.

Everything was great.

The rooms was clean and good enough size. The staff for the breakfast and the checkin and checkout are very professional. The good access to the beach.

The size of the room was great for three of us and have us space to spread out. It was very comfortable and we loved the balcony we had. The complimentary breakfast was great and we took full advantage of the traders club lounge on the 9th floor where they offered alcoholic beverages and happy hour snacks. The concierge staff were incredibly helpful in getting us situated and access to our COVID tests (thank you Zihad and Justin)! Also the abra was so fun and we couldn’t recommend that enough! The private beach was also a huge bonus and the views were stunning!

Our room was freezing with the air conditioning. Even though we set the thermostat to a comfortable temperature, the air conditioning froze us (seemed like the room thermostat was controlled by something else) and we had to spend most of our time in the room either outside on the balcony or under the blankets. Also, the location is great for a resort vibe, a little less ideal for a tourist who wants to see the sites, just far from everything.

I like the room, not so big yet not too small and a balcony with beach view. Big wow for me.

They have to put back the self service coffee dispenser on breakfast. Waiting for our coffee to be serve takes long time. We've already finished our breakfast and yet the coffee was still elsewhere.

few beds on the beach, all reserved by someone who just left towel or minor belongings and disappeared. I would recommend hotel management to introduce a rule of “no reservation of sun-beds”

Generally, the experience was really good. Breakfast had quite a few different options, and everyone can find something they like. The staff was really nice. On the beach, the staff was outstanding; they would bring towels and water to you in a little freezer. The hotel's exterior territory is very nice, and you can even take a little boat free of charge on the artificial river with an amazing view. I strongly recommend it. The facilities and rooms were really clean. The staff is friendly, except for our experience at arrival at 2 am on the 24th of August. Elisabeth, another receptionist in the morning, explained the reasons, but the staff tried to strongly convince us to pay for an extra night, and offering five different prices was quite disappointing for that kind of hotel.

The reception's behavior was totally inappropriate on the night of August 24th. Morning staff, especially Elizabeth, made it better, but a feeling of disappointment lingers during the whole stay.

Breakfast is very different from old times. Very poor and 30 EUR is too much!

We had a standard room with double meals, breakfast-dinner. Very good and varied meals. Everything is perfect. I would recommend it to everyone who wants to relax.

We only stayed for one day, because it was close to the airport. Nearby is the sheikh zayed mosque (8 min away by car). From the beach you can actually see it a bit across the river. The hotel is connected to the Shangri-La, so you can walk around the beach (but not use it or the pool). There is also a boat or the golf cars you can use for free to get to the souk (mall). The room was very beautiful, we even got an upgrade to the top floor. So we had a nice view from our window, which cannot be opened. The TV had a lot of options, and you can also use the HDMI among other stuff, if needed. The bathroom was very clean. The breakfast was great, it had a lot of options and was very tasty. They bring you coffee to the table. The beach was very nice! It was the highlight of our trip and the reason we actually chose this hotel. The water is clear, the sand is very sandy. Everything is great. The beachboy(?) give out free water bottles in cool boxes and help you out with towels.

You can't open the windows. There are mosquitos in the lobby. As a POC you might get "nicely" ignored.
