Well located 'downtown', close to a Metro stop, making the north and south of Dubai within easy reach.

Initially we were given a room which had an old stained fitted carpet, making the room rather shabby. Other things like the air conditioner temp control not working, issues with the shower, phone etc, and we were shown a different room by the Manager, which was much better, and made the overall experience much better.

The location was excellent and very close to the Financial Center Metro station and very convenient to go anywhere in Dubai. Also I would like to say a special thank you to Calvin at reception who upgraded my room to a suite without me asking and extended my check-out time to 3pm.

The only thing I didn’t like was poor positioning of the power socket on the wall especially the ones near the table where I couldn’t put any of the adapters into it.

Location of the hotel is amazing...we had a room on the 38th floor which had amazing views of the burj Khalifa. Staff were also very friendly and helpful. Special mention goes to Muhammad at the tours desk who arranged all our activities and also went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable; Abdul at front desk for being so friendly and the restaurant manager, we enjoyed our daily breakfast. Also special mention to the waiters in the Havana lounge, service was excellent.

The room cleaning can be improved. House keeping manager needs to monitor and check on the guys cleaning, they don't do a thorough job.

I was staying here for the second time. I had the same amazing experience, this time with my family. I compliment the staff for their gracious hospitality especially Ellie at the reception who upgraded us to a two-bedroom suite. My family holiday was a memorable one! We had a late check-in. The manager at Bayty restaurant requested the chef to make us a bowl of curry as the buffet lunch was about to close. That was kind of him.

The kitchenette should have had basic plates or cutlery. We had to keep asking for kitchenware from the restaurant. The bathrooms should have had at least one hair dryer.

We were told at check-in, we had been given a free upgrade to the penthouse suite, this room was absolutely amazing & exceeded all our expectations, it was really big & spotlessly clean, the bed was really comfortable & the bathroom was lovely - could have stayed in the shower for hours! Didn't eat at the hotel so cant comment on food, but we did buy snacks & cake every day from the little cake counter in the hotel - which I can highly recommend. Pool looked amazing, although didn't have time for a dip whilst there. We hired a car & there was free valet parking at the hotel, which made life easy. This hotel was very reasonably priced for our stay & I can highly recommend. We were on the 42nd floor, but that was fine, there are several lifts available at all times, so no hanging around waiting for a lift. It is on a busy road, nice to see the busy Dubai life from the room - would highly recommend this hotel

Nothing negative to say - it was perfect

The front desk staff is exceptional 👌. I mistakenly canceled my booking after payment, Precious (Carlton Reception desk) spent a week trying to have the booking reinstated with bookings.com. She kept me updated at all times and even gave me her whatsapp number for ease of contact. That, to me, is going beyond the call of duty. On arrival, Walley (Reception Manager) reinstated my booking with no hassle 👌, he was willing to deal with bookings.com processes once I was comfortably allocated a room.. Friendly and efficient How can I forget the concierge team... we traveled as a group, and our bus did not have luggage space big enough for all the bags.. The bus driver stood there, scratching his head. That's when the team stepped in like superheroes.... in no time, the bags were all neatly packed in the bus, and we were on our way The rooms exceeded our expectations. Spacious with full kitchen, dining area, TV room, guests toilet separate from the ensuite bathroom. Carlton Downtown is nicely located... 3 min to the metro station, 30 min walk to Dubai Mall, Birj Khalifa, Fountain, 1 metro station from Museum of the Future. The view of Burj Khalifa from my room was an unexpected bonus.

The elevators 🛗. Takes a long time and can fit max 9 adults without bags. Mornings after breakfast and during check out, it's a nightmare. You wait for 15 min for the lift only for it to be fully packed with people and bags... had to wait another 10 min. Full kitchen with no cuttlery nor crockery. Had to call housekeeping to bring plates at the very least.

I really loved the location of the hotel because, it was a 2 minute walk to the metro station, there are coffee shops and supermarket around. You can even walk to the museum of the future.I loved my room and the view was impeccable, my room view showed the Dubai mall and it was so beautiful at night. I really want to thank the staff who were so nice to my family and treated us great. I want to specifically thank Mercy, Junnel, and Ali. Oh and don’t forget to ask of Rasheed, a great guy with a great sense of humor, he will book all the tours and provide you with good drivers for your trips. The breakfast menu has a lot of varieties and amazing chefs too. Thanks everyone at Carlton downtown, will surely be back.

The hotel's location was excellent, right in the heart of the city, making access to various attractions and amenities extremely convenient.The breakfast provided was exceptional, with a wide variety of high-quality, delicious foods that catered to all tastes.The staff were not only helpful but also consistently friendly and cheerful, which made every interaction a pleasure and greatly enhanced the overall stay.

The waiting time for the elevators was quite excessive, causing unnecessary delays and inconvenience, particularly during peak hours. The water pressure in the bathrooms was disappointingly low, which negatively affected the overall experience, especially when it came to taking showers or baths.

The greeting at the front desk was the kindest one I've seen. Hotel location is better than perfect right in front of the Metro station. Dubai Mall/Burj Khalifa is very close that you can walk.

Housekeeping was a bit of a disappointment in the first day. We put the make up rook sign on the door but noone showed up until 6:30 pm. At that time we were at the room and refused it. But they did everything we asked for on the phone or when we see them. They were so kind anyway. There was nothing in the minibar.

The staff , all, helpful and kind. The location, is next to gate avenue, I enjoyed walking in gate avenue, difc, and Dubai Square day and night. many supermarkets and grocery stores are located nearby and a diversity of places to eat. My room is big, with kitchen facilities including electric stove, microwave, and a washing machine. Plus a big fridge with refrigerator. The furniture is aged but the room is comfortable in general. Breakfast has very limited items with almost no diversity, however it is very fresh, and the staff are really nice and caring. The pool is not big, but calm and comfy for sunbathing. And, it was good that the pictures of the room were exactly as it is.

Although there are 4 lifts for guests and one for staff, it usually takes a long time to get in to elevator. Furniture is little aged an my fridge buzzed constantly. There are no plates in the kitchen (I don't know if they provide by request).
