Needed somewhere to stop after a long drive, and this suited purpose and price. Good car park space, overall quiet night, and slept very comfortably. Bathroom was clean and spacious, as was the room.....carpet needs a once over with rug doctor.
When arriving, the young lady checked in a customer who arrived just before myself, so I took a seat to wait for her to finish and be ready for me, but instead she decided it would be better to go off and serve the customers who were sitting at the bar, before returning to attend to my booking. I didn't catch her name and didn't care to either, as this was just complete unprofessionalism, and if I wasn't pre booked would most likely have left. Thankfully I didn't, as once she had left, every other staff member I encountered more than made up for her shortcomings, resulting in a pleasant stay.

Actually booked as couldn’t find accommodation elsewhere, HOWEVER was pleasantly surprised…… the actual room was quite spacious and everything we needed in the room. Furniture was quite Modern and well maintained. Simple thing …. but plug points ( two per bed side… allowed me to charge and look at phone …soo convenient. I liked the teas, coffees, sugars, milks in baskets at reception. For introverted person like me, I could just grab and walk, without interaction… fantastic. The dinners were great value for money, filling and quite tasty😊 The staff were lovely .
Hmmmmm….what didn’t i like…the person snoring, loudly talking on the phone in my room.

This is our first visit to Aberdeen and the Hotel had the best location- easy access to the airport and city centre. Great value for money; most affordable in the area. Though old property but the cleanliness is top-notch. The night receptionist- Michael was so kind and helpful with information about the environment. The other staff also respected privacy- The HK attendant before check-out followed the hospitality protocols and didn’t barge into our room. We will definitely visit again when next we come to Aberdeen.
Could do with a mini bar in the room. However, considering the price paid, could be overlooked.

Greeted by friendly staff, lovely big foyer and easy check in. Was a bit if a walk to our room but room was absolutely huge and so was the bathroom. A lamp was on in the bedroom which was welcoming. Comfy beds and clean towels. Our room was squeaky clean and had all we needed; tea making facilities, iron and ironing board and a hair dryer. Very impressed with two remotes as we were in a twin room. Heating was excellent and warmed the room straight away.
The room was cold when we arrived but was warm by the time we got back from dinner. There was no heater in the bathroom but again once the shower was running it soon warmed up. My single bed didn't have a fitted sheet on it so when I woke up I was all tangled in it and sleeping on the bare mattress. Would have also liked to have an extra pillow (one each). We felt the hotel was a little dated and could do with some love as it has got a lot going for it!

I visited Aberdeen for first time as my partner had job to do locally so we needed hotel close to where he was working but easy public transport to the centre for myself to explore this fabulous city. It is a budget hotel so if you want gold plated taps go elsewhere, but if you want clean, comfortable, spacious and convenient at a great price the Britannia ticks all the boxes. Staff were lovely and very helpful, hotel is popular/busy so book early! Coach tours and local workers like stay here, as it's great value for money, although busy it is not a mad party venue, like us most guests are looking for relaxing place stay and get a good night's kip. There is the option to add breakfast and evening meals to your booking, bar on site and comfortable lounge area. We never eat breakfast and we ate out 2 nights but from what we could see menu looked varied and good value, restaurant appears very popular other guests. Regarding getting around, I used bus stop 2mins walk from hotel straight in/out city centre where you can enjoy all the sites, cultural venues, shopping and restaurants at your leisure. The same bus route will also take you to airport so handy if you're looking stay before/after holiday abroad. I would definitely rebook if visiting Aberdeen in future - actually checking out Caledonian coach trips for my mum and I to return for a break as everything is included in booking. So big thank you to the very hard working and helpful staff who made us feel welcome during our stay 👍🏴🙌
Not having enough time stay longer.

This is an older establishment but our room was large and well appointed. It was not flash but you could see it had been a quality establishment 30 years ago. We loved having a mini fridge in our room. Although we didn’t eat at the restaurant it looked well patronised and prices seemed good. The bus into the city stops about 100m from the front door.
Wifi was only available in public areas. Private wifi was an expensive charge.

We were upgraded from a twin to a family room which was huge, two double beds and a single which my teenage daughter was thrilled about. The room came with a mini fridge and fan which came in really handy as it was hot that day so cold drinks and a cool room = bonus ! Super easy to check in, literally took 2 mins and the woman behind the desk was really helpful and friendly . Location was great for visiting family.

Location was very handy for my needs , room was large and comfortable. There is also a bar and restaurant with a pleasant seating area, both at very reasonable prices, the staff were very welcoming, and friendly, car parking is free and literally outside the reception door.
Hotel needs updating, no WiFi in rooms which was a little bit disappointing (I think you can pay for it) but is free in the bar area, although the food in the restaurant was very good value and lots of it there is only so many times you can reheat lasagna. Small niggles otherwise excellent value for mony

I have stayed here with friends multiple times & are always happy - twin room as requested, large bathroom with a bath & shower, consistent water pressure & temperature, very spacious room.
Thos particular visit we were put in a room which for some unknown reason was far too hot to be at all comfortable, but when we asked at reception to change to another twin room they kindly did so & put us in a great room which was a relief.

Ok so apart from the decor which some will like, some will not, (old fashioned but i love it! Think it adds character, the food is delicious and the staff are some of the best from any of the hotels I've stayed in. This is my go too place when in Aberdeen, which is quite a bit. Great value for money, and great vibe.
Bit dated, but think this adds character.
