The room was lovely (books were a nice touch), location perfect, staff very friendly. Had a gorgeous vegetarian roast in by the fire in the bar. Got extra provisions on request and stored my luggage the next day.
I found the confirmation email unnecessarily aggressive as regards parking times and such. It was a bit of a negative first point of contact. Didn't park there as I thought that was too expensive. Breakfast wasn't included, which was a shame. The wine in the bar was nice but over priced.

classic styling with lots of statues, classy bookcases (books in our room, yay) - beautiful banisters, tall mirrors, BE Aware if tall: do not book 3rd floor as whole corridor under 6ft height; they managed to move us thankfully. Comfy room, leaded glass windows, thick towels and a fan (last day we'll need that till springtime!) Very kind helpful reception. Great decor throughout, interesting historic quotes throughout. Lovely courtyard! Hotel is right on the high street just yards down from beautiful Arundel Castle
Quite limited menu 5-6 mains only; overly fancy - had to beg for bar menu for more choice - and very good fish n chips. Expensive but tasty.

Loved the age and history of the building. The room was on the top floor in what had been the servants' rooms and was a delight to stay in. Peaceful, lovely view over gardens and the castle in the background. Bathroom obviously had been once part of the room (judging by the fact there was the fireplace in there) and was tastefully decorated. Complimentary toiletries were gorgeous. The building is a labyrinth of corridors and it is easy to go down the wrong staircase but did not detract from the experience. Whilst there is no lift, it was not difficult climbing the beautiful staircase and admiring the large landings. Loved speaking to the lady on reception who came from Poland, managed to demonstrate my few words of Polish to her!
Nothing.

The Norfolk Inn is a stunning historic building in the very centre of Arundel. Its location is superb. We turned up promptly at 1pm as we were a tad concerned about finding a parking space. The car park is huge, we needn't have worried. Check-in was very friendly and the room had a beautiful view of the castle and gardens. It was spotless, the bed large and new. The bath was also big - we prefer baths to showers. The staff are lovely, we had several drinks 'al fresco' which kept us cool in the breezy courtyard. Arundel is an absolute gem of a place, charismatic and welcoming.
Nothing at all, seriously.

Fantastic location, staff very friendly and provided a great service, comfortable bed and a great ensuite, we had a front facing top floor room in the main hotel building. Plenty of safe parking around the back of the hotel, we had come down on scooters for a rally in the town. Food was good, I had the pie of the day which was full to the brim and my partner had the egg and cress sandwiches in the afternoon whilst we waited to check in, and a good breakfast in the morning. A late night drink from the bar after we returned to finish our night off too. Definitely return if we visit Arundel again.
Couldn't fault anything with our stay.

The room was lovely and from the moment we arrived the staff could not have been more helpful giving us access to the car park ahead of our check-in so that we could go off to the event we were attending, to checking us into our room, to late-night drinks post our event. The room had everything we could need in terms of facilities and a good supply of tea and coffee... and a great view of the castle!
There was nothing not to like. Our room was on the top floor which was great and we were told there was no lift so do read the detail of you don't like or can't manage stairs.

Our room was very comfortable and clean with a stunning view across Arundel. The staff were very friendly and the parking around the the back of the hotel was easy. The hotel is traditional and based in the heart of an old Market town with an imposing castle , incredible cathedral and with the River Arun running through it. An added summer bonus is the heated outdoor Lido- fantastic! The hotel offers lunch and dinner in a restaurant on the ground floor and breakfast in a lower ground floor room as well as outdoor tables and chairs. The ‘snug’ bar is cosy and inviting and there is another larger off street all day bar with eating facilities. We would thoroughly recommend The Norfolk Arms.

I have never been to Arundel before. I am 60.....How could I have missed such a beautiful place? I like Booking.com. Well, who wants to stay in a Travelodge? Every now and then Booking.com throws up an absolute gem and this is one such surprise. It is a lovely building. It is really interesting in lay out and furnished in a very quirky way. I stayed in one of the old servant's bedrooms. It was just wonderful. The Hotel warned me that the building is Grade II listed, which effects some of the room sizes, but that is the secret of it's charm. A delight. The Tap is highly recommended. A great selection of Artisan, Craft beers and ales. The weather was hot, so I enjoyed a wonderful local, unpasteurised Cider, Delicious!

Hotel is self is lovely and staff were amazing very helpful and pleasant
I feel a little pricey for what you get. We stayed in a courtyard room and although it was lovely, the room itself was quite small, and also only had a rainfall shower.Which although looks lovely and my husband has no problems with I (and all the ladies I know) absolutely hate , they're useless to rinse shampoo out of your hair with and on the flipside absolutely useless if you don't want to wet your hair ... I would change showers or provide shower hats .. bonnet de douche

Excellent location right in the center of Arundel. Two bars part of the hotel with a lot of seating in and out, ideal for sole traveler. Breakfast excellent. Compact but nice room. Wide single bed positioned partly behind the wall of the build in bathroom so that you cannot see the corridor lights creeping under the door.
If you do not take part in the night life, the noise of the live band across the square and the traffic stops you from having an early night. However, once that was finished you couldn't hear a pin drop.
