Very clean and comfortable. Very friendly staff who were chatty and nothing was too much trouble. Lovely freshly cooked breakfast and an equally lovely restaurant menu.

Not many negatives. As someone who has mobility issues ( walks with a stick) it was a bit difficult at times the only access to bar/ breakfast being either across a flat roof, and down steep steps or having to enter by walking behind the bar. Its not always easy to go behind the bar at busy times. I also feel handrails both sides on outside access steps would be beneficial as the steps are steep and slightly slippery. All of the bath towels & also the bath mat were changed daily, whilst its a lovely service, personally i think this isn't needed. Not very environmentally friendly, maybe give customers the option?

Great location, local amenities, amenities available at the inn, tea/coffee in the room, private bathroom, clean towels each day, river view (not essential but an added bonus!), friendly and helpful staff, entrance point above the pub so we didn’t have to go through the pub, quiet room, couldn’t hear any noise from the pub. Great for what we needed which was just a place to sleep and shower while visiting, will return!

Some small black hairs that weren’t ours on the sheets/in the bed, quite a lime scaled kettle

Nice room, comfortable bed, spotless ensuite. Good value. Excellent freshly-cooked breakfast, which arrived promptly and piping hot - just the right amount to start a busy day - eaten by the window with lovely view of the river, served by most attentive and helpful staff. Delicious fresh granary toast - so different from the awful plastic stuff you sometimes get in hotels.

Music from the bar was somewhat noisy, but it is a pub, after all, and it was a Saturday night and didn't go on much beyond 11 o'clock. On my side of the building I wasn't disturbed by it. Rather cramped access to the upper floors via door from the bar could be tricky for anyone with mobility problems.

The room was very comfortable with h a huge bathroom. Breakfast was cooked to order and excellent.

We weren’t told about how to get in after hours and lucky for us the night manager saw us as he was leaving and told us how to get in else we would have been sleeping in the car!! An apology was given in the morning and we were told the member of staff who booked us in would be spoken to!

My husband and I had booked this lovely Inn as we were attending a wedding nearby. I had messaged Gemma about an early check-in and she was so accommodating and quick to reply. I was met with a really friendly welcome and was also able to check in to the room early. The room had a beautiful river view and the pub attached to the Inn made for a perfect place to sit. We would definitely stay here again. Thankyou for our lovely stay!

Nothing!

Room was nice and big, so was the shower room 😁 The guy who booked us in, made room for 10 of my family members to have a meal in the bar, this guy pulled all the stops out, even tho there was a Christmas party going on in the restaurant and the World Cup final was playing in the bar, Big big thank you to this guy and the staff, We all traveled down from the north of England, me and my mother stayed at Arun view And other family members stayed else where in Littlehampton.

Green light on the ceiling, kept me awake every night,

The room was en-suite, with a kettle and drink making items, the beds comfortable. The dinner menu was extensive, diverse and reasonably priced, there is a large seating area with a river Arun view. The Breakfast offering was varied, well cooked and presented, well worth the cost.

Access to the bedrooms was through the bar hatch, we felt that we were diverting staff from their work as we passed through.

The location was great overlooking the river Arun. Close to the railway station. A 10 minute walk to the town centre. The room was comfortable and clean. We had a view of the river. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great with very good service. We had dinner there ,food was great as was the service. The fish and chips were one of the best. We would definitely stay again.

Believe it is a family run hotel, the staff all seemed to get on well. Breakfast was excellent, freshly cooked full english (lighter options also available) and evening meals also excellent and reasonably priced. Restaurant overlooked the river and there was a terrace for warm sunny relaxation also overlooking the river. Easy walk into town, situated near the railway station if you are travelling that way. WiFi worked well and there was free parking. The room was pleasant and the bathroom appeared to be quite modern with a decent shower.

The stairs up to the rooms were quite steep and care was needed when carrying cases, especially if you have mobility issues.

Very pleasant good size bedroom, very clean, comfortable and with well equipped and stylish en suite. Warm welcome to this hotel come pub come restaurant from the hosts. Situated on the banks of the Arun river hence the name. The pub area very pleasant and typical of many whilst the restaurant section was popular with non-residents, well furnished and overlooked the river. There is a terrace outside by the river but inclement weather prohibited it’s use. The evening meal had an excellent menu and after four weeks in Europe with its fancy food, the steak and ale pie with vegetables and mashed potato was not to be missed. Produced in house it was the best ever. After the evening meal we could not do justice to a full English breakfast and opted for lighter fare which was very good. This was served by the very pleasant chef and included in the very reasonable price for the stay. Wi-Fi was very good as was television in the room. Generous tea and coffee facilities in the bedroom.

Due to the nature of the building, access to the bedroom was from behind the bar or via the fire escape to the car park. The latter worked well as the steps were proper stone steps not a rickety metal ladder. It passed through a patio area at bedroom level, a bonus for those who, like us, indulge in a cigarette. A very minor criticism and would be happy to stay there again.
