This is a lovely b&b situated on the edge of Ballywalter. The owner is very friendly, attentive, and welcoming, offered us little extras like tea and cakes on arrival and the use of a wine cooler. The whole house and our room was beautifully decorated and tastefully furnished with lots of extras to add to its comfort. Breakfast was 1st class, buffet area as well as a cooked breakfast with lovely fresh locally sourced ingredients. There was excellent parking available in lovely grounds

There was no negatives about our stay, a wonderful experience.

The architecture of the house together with quality fittings and furnishings. The friendliness of the hostess - easy to get along with - bright and cheerful. All items of detailed needs well provided for. The seaview, lawns and surroundings. Bright double-aspected room .

The stairs could be a bit tricky, but the hostess was quick to help and assist. A careful approach to breakfast provision to minimise waste - home economics, but everything carefully thought out.

We visited Ballywalter for a romantic getaway and the 'Old Vicarage' met above and beyond our expectations. The house and the rooms is decorated with taste, crisp, Egyptian cotton bedding sheets, impeccably clean, lovely views from windows. Fell in love with the wee garden and the chubby hens! Christa was very attentive and we really appreciated that she treated us tea and sweets when we arrived. She even had prepared for me gluten free breakfast and dessert, asking way ahead. Christa hank you so much for your hospitality, we will be back!

Everything was fabulous, nothing negative

This was a fabulously peaceful stay with a wonderful host. It was the perfect respite for us while touring Northern Ireland. Strongly recommend the Stratford ferry route and I believe this property will go from strength to strength. Interesting bee keeping and gardens on site and nice couple running it. I'll check back here in a year or two but breakfast was fabulous , guidance and reception were exceptional and it was the perfect rest for us after a few days touring. Thank you 😊

There was nothing I didn't like

View was incredible. Our host, Christa, was attentive and had everything ready for us and very friendly. We even had a welcome coffee served in our room with some delicious slices when we arrived, so we could enjoy the view overlooking the water. Bedroom was comfortable and had everything we needed. Breakfast was great.

Nothing, our stay was perfect in every way.

Lovely and sapcious 100-year-old vicarage home beautifully refurbished with all the modern amenities. Our host has seen to every detail! Wonderful view of the sea at our doorstep. WE walked to the village in the morning. Breakfast was yummy and filling! We drove the coast to Giants Causeway from here and had two lovely days in Northern Ireland.

Beautiful building, garden and location. Warm welcome, lovely room with views of trees and beach (just). Comfy bed, quiet and peaceful. Breakfast choice great for healthy, local and vegetarian breakfast. No overpowering scented air fresheners.

The basin in the shower cubicle was very small, but understand why it couldn't be bigger.

Absolutely fabulous place, stunning views from the dining room. Marisa the host went up and beyond what we expected. tucked into a fabulous breakfast both mornings, poached eggs with avocado on seeded bread the first day and a traditional full English the second. Stunning property.

The location, the hospitality, the decor, the sea, the weather, the small touches that made us feel so welcome, everything was perfect from start to finish. Even though we both had dietary restrictions (including vegan), the host couldn’t have been more accommodating to ensure we had everything. Beautiful home which felt like such a treat to be able to stay in. Thank you so much Christa!

Charming, beautifully restored building which wraps you in comfort. Wonderful, kind and attentive host and so many little touches. Luxurious indeed. Worth every penny. Good location to walk into the village, and on to the beach. Great for visits to Mount Stewart, Greyabbey, Castle Ward, etc

Faultless.
