This is a beautiful hotel, stylish, high end, luxury environment in a good location. This hotel has a stunning sky bar, providing the best views of the City and an incredible cocktail menu! The reception staff were exceptional; attentive, warm, welcoming; everything you would have hoped for in such a beautiful hotel.
The staff in the sky bar were not of the same calibre or standard as the reception. This let the experience down. One female staff member was unkooth, her body language was aggressive, unfriendly and somewhat intimidating. She strutted around giving the most horrific daggers ever seen or felt. She looked like she was chewing a wasp the whole time we were in the bar, for no obvious reason. The 2nd round of cocktails were not to the same standard as the first lot…..

The staff were under pressure and they could not have been nicer. The room cleanliness was impeccable. They also had a birthday balloon for my husband and two cupcakes , as I had emailed the hotel previous to say it was his birthday, such a lovely lovely touch, we will definitely be back.
I am so hesitant in telling this, but as I booked room only via an app, which I never thought about breakfast to be honest, as a Resident we got up the next morning and the Lady at the breakfast said as we hadn’t booked breakfast we had to go downstairs, we didn’t want to go down stairs as we wished to remain upstairs but she then obliged and said we had to pay which was definitely not a problem or issue at all. But if we not felt the need to contest this we would had to have went downstairs.

The hotel is in a great location within the city centre. Our room was exactly as pictured on the website, it was very clean and comfortable. I liked the choice of the cafe on the ground floor and the Seahorse restaurant on the first floor. Both offering a great variety of good food. Breakfast was amazing with lots of choices. The observatory bar at the top was a great place to relax after a busy day having lots of luxury space and great city views. Every member of staff here at Grand Central were chatty, friendly and went above and beyond for us. We would definitely stay here again.
There was nothing I didn’t like

Bedroom very comfortable. Staff and manager in dining area on ground floor - the Grand Café - were extremely efficient. Food there was excellent too.
We were very disappointed with service in The Observatory. Firstly, the waitress forgot to bring menus but did after a lengthy wait. No one returned our table to take or order so we left (again, after a lengthy wait) without being served. We then went to the Seahorse where we asked two members of staff if we could have a look at the tasting menu...... we're still waiting!! Staff in the Seahorse did not seem to be aware of the hotel's offering; they advised us to contact reception. Surely, in a hotel of this category, staff should be better informed and, if not, make some effort to provide guests with the required information.

Booked a Double Room, which was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was not included in our stay but easily added on arrival for £15pp, which we could not fault the next day. Great variety of foods for a continental breakfast - cereals, breads, cold meats/cheeses and a hot food counter. Continually topped up as the morning went on, which meant the food was nice and hot! Property is close to the City Centre and various attractions, such as The Grand Opera House. Staff were welcoming and helpful. We will definitely stay again!
Not a complaint - Drinks/Cocktails can be pricey and at breakfast, it took a while for tables to be cleared but that could have been a shortage of staff. Didn’t bother us too much for our short stay treat!

Fantastic location right in the city centre. Can walk to any destination from the hotel. Very clean and modern. Great views from our room and the observatory. Staff are all super super friendly and welcoming. Especially all the staff in the observatory.
Grand central offers very limited parking on their own which is expensive. Had to park elsewhere and walk, it’s a little inconvenient. Breakfast was very slow. There were three other tables and then ourselves at the time we went for breakfast, two of the tables already had there food. We waited 25 minutes on a cooked breakfast and two coffees. Breakfast was nice, not filling and very very overpriced. Have had nicer cooked breakfast’s in Belfast that weren’t £15 each!

Excellent location, wonderfully warm and welcoming staff, free upgrade to a really great room with a fantastic view. Excellent food.
Something is wrong with their plumbing. The first room we were offered had a very strange smell, like a backed up drain. I have a very sensitive sense of smell, so I asked to change rooms, which they quickly did. But I was also told that this was common there. The rain shower had tiny black globs of mildew hanging from its holes, so I opted to use the hand shower instead. I asked for the rain shower to be cleaned but I didn’t see a difference.

The location is perfect. Easy walking to most venues we wanted to go to around Belfast. Local busses close by. Also convenient to post office, coffee shops, newsagents etc etc. The location and general comfort level was wonderful. People think it is expensive but when you calculate money saved on transportation (including bus station with connection to Dublin) and ability to walk around the city, its decent value. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Bathroom was good but shower door, badly designed.

Room was very comfortable, although there was a frequent sound of flushing water from above which was annoying. The bathroom had a separate bath and shower, and was overall very comfortable.
Service, in both the lounge bar and cafe, was extremely slow. At times it felt like the host staff and wait staff did not communicate. On both occasions, Friday 6pm in the bar and Saturday 10am in the cafe, I had to go find a member of stuff so we could place our order, and it took well over 5 minutes to get seated despite it not being busy. Extremely disappointing and frustrating, given the cost.
