The staff were under pressure and they could not have been nicer. The room cleanliness was impeccable. They also had a birthday balloon for my husband and two cupcakes , as I had emailed the hotel previous to say it was his birthday, such a lovely lovely touch, we will definitely be back.

I am so hesitant in telling this, but as I booked room only via an app, which I never thought about breakfast to be honest, as a Resident we got up the next morning and the Lady at the breakfast said as we hadn’t booked breakfast we had to go downstairs, we didn’t want to go down stairs as we wished to remain upstairs but she then obliged and said we had to pay which was definitely not a problem or issue at all. But if we not felt the need to contest this we would had to have went downstairs.

I have stayed in the Grand Central twice now and it's a beautiful building. The rooms are spacious, beds comfy and the baths are nice and deep. The top floor observatory bar is special and the cocktail I ordered (a dirty martini) was on point. Staff in the bar were pleasant and attentive too and it felt intimate despite the space being quite big.

The majority of the staff were nice but a couple were quite short with us when asking for info on parking and the observatory bar access at night. We asked could we go up to the bar as directed by the concierge and were asked to wait 15 minutes as it was busy. This was not a problem at all being a busy Friday. I suggested we go for a drink in the main bar which was quiet while we waited and the hostess told us that we wouldn't have enough time for one. We thought that was a bit odd so we just headed back to our room for 15 minutes and came back down.

The location is great and the bed was very, very, comfortable. I managed to sleep really well.

Checkin was a breeze, and the staff sent off good vibes. However, i had to revise my opinion somewhat later in the day because nobody picked up when I dialled (several times) for room service. After a long, long, flight, I was just not in shape to dine outside. In the end, I gave up trying to order room service. I normally enjoy the relaxation of dining in room. Also, it would have been nice if I could be notified before my daughter’s card was debited the day before we left. This deprived me of the options of either paying in cash or via another card. While i do understand that the hotel was acting well within its rights to do so, a more tactful way of doing this would have been appreciated.

The hotel is exceptional in every way. The Observatory bar on the 23rd floor is a must visit. The staff are all amazing! We had a room on the 21st floor and the view was fantastic, we could see every inch of Belfast and were absolutely blown away every time we looked out the window! If I could rate this hotel 100/10 I would. The Grand Central rubber duck (sea horse) you get in your room is such a nice touch & a token I will treasure forever. The location is great. The price of parking is very reasonable in Belfast, with a secure multi story car park only about 200m down the road.

Nothing - everything was excellent.

Everything! It was luxury. We had a room on the 19th floor and absolutely loved the view over Belfast. The bed was huge and unbelievably comfy. The room and area was immaculate. We did go to both the guest lounge and the observatory, but didn't get a chance to try them out, although they did look amazing. Staff were helpful and cheery. Perfect location for the center of Belfast too. I want to go back!

There was nothing that was negative about the stay. It was perfect.

Just spent one night there, but enjoyed the the room and especially the location for our needs. Top floor restaurant with great views. Good price-value relation.

The parking situation was a bit chaotic and we ended up paying the parking fee without hotel discount - a typical situation where a receptionist tells you she doesn't know and that's it - no effort to solve the problem. In general a little bit too snobby for my taste - if you don't dress up and style, you seem to not fit in.

I stay a lot in the Grand Central the staff are always welcoming and exceptional. it was my 50 th birthday and we came with 9 of us. The restaurant manager was rude obnoxious and was very condescending. I have never been spoken to nor my friends twice on the two night stay like he did to us, I booked with the Fitzwilliam this weekend because the restaurant manager ruined a great weekend. I always had amazing times staying in the GrNd Central and this has put me off returning

Great room with city view, and comfy bed. Obersvatory Cocktail bar was a great experience with tasty cocktails and a great view of the city. Staff were very friendly and seated us nicely in a quiet location. Breakfast was great. Standard Irish breakfast but very tasty and high quality. Coffee and tea on offer was great. Particularly the cappuccino.

Check-in time was a little long. Some confusion over whether or not we had paid for breakfast, we had to check with reception and were told that this was due to a system error and that we had in fact paid.

Lovely rooms with beautiful views of the city. We were on the 21st floor and the views of the city and water were fantastic. The toiletries provided were very nice. And the built-in nightlights for the bathroom were a huge help. The Grand Central seahorse/rubber ducky was a nice touch. While the drinks in the observatory bar were comically priced, you're paying for the views and they didn't disappoint. You're treating yourself when you stay here and it lives up to many of the expectations.

For the amount of money required for these rooms (I paid £240 a night for what I take to be a standard King Room), I would expect an in room refrigerator (not present), a walk in rain shower (the shower had a rain had but was not very spacious, as there was a separate tub), and perhaps some higher quality slippers with the bathrobes. Also, for what I take to be the premier hotel in the city, I found the lobby quite cramped and aesthetically displeasing. But these are only 'complaints' when compared to other hotels that you pay this much for. In terms of the actual quality of the accommodation, it's first rate.

Location, friendly, helpful staff

The hotel had been fully booked the night before our stay. Unfortunately they were unable to book us in early but helpfully took our bags. When we got to our room, the person doing rooms had to knock our door to give us towels as they were obviously under pressure and hadn’t got to putting towels in our room yet. The shower in our bathroom seemed clean enough but was still wet. It just wasn’t as ‘perfect’ as our previous stay and we felt it was out of character.
