So why give it a 10? Primarily because the owners are honest and say exactly what it is, and for what it is it’s great. It was clean, good Wi-Fi, good shower, comfortable bed, secure parking. I travel around a lot, so come equipped with ear plugs and an eye mask…so I couldn’t tell you if it was noisy or not, I really don’t think it was. Good comms in terms of self check-in. It is a ‘large house’ so the owners ask you to behave yourself in terms of noise, which is fair enough. We should respect other guests. Breakfast is indeed basic, but at the price I’m happy they provide it at all. I had had hot toast with Nutella and a coffee, fine for me. All nicely provisioned in a clean dining area. You can help yourself to coffee and tea any time you like. Good pub over the road with sports TV and good food. I’d like to say thanks for providing good, secure, budget accommodation within half an hour of Oxford. I’ll be back.
Not the owner’s fault, but the left gatepost isn’t in line with dropped kerb, so it’s easy to hit the fairly high kerb with your car wheel when you turn in from the road. Difficult to see in the dark. Maybe a little flag of that on the check-in instructions? Or maybe I should have been a bit more careful!

The room was very clean, not least the carpet, always the sign of a well-maintained property. And it delivered exactly what it claimed to - a basic B&B with a continental breakfast, albeit only if you got there before some greedy b*****d decided to raid the fridge of the orange juice carton, as happened to me this morning - but that is NOT the fault of the hard-working staff there. The only thing I would recommend is that you bring your own soap etc.! The only toiletry supplied was a sachet of shower gel that was supposed to last me THREE days but was obviously gone after a single shower! Hm… For more than £85 a night I would expect more!
See also above. There was noise from passing traffic, not least from around 0600, and my room was at the side of the property rather than the front or back, but that’s hardly the fault of the property. But it was well situated on the outskirts of town.

Great place. Cozy bedroom, quiet place, Had everything you might need: Soap, mini fridge, tv, coat hanger, hot shower, etc. Room service clean and tidy almost every day. The dining room is stocked up with milk, bread, orange juice and other refreshments. Parking is also easily accessible.
The shower head can be a little higher.

Clean, good location and comfortable. Use of the dining room at all times was certainly a plus point . Good shower facilities and spotless room, very comfortable beds. Good car parking facilities and an excellent chip shop together with a nice Chinese takeaway made food options easy! A pub across the road too!
No plug in washbasin and mini fridge did not work.

Big backyard for parking which is super safe and convenient!! The bed is very clean and comfortable. The water pressure is excellent! Bread, milk, and juice are free for use in the dining area.
The kettle is not available in the bedroom, the wall between the room is very thin which I can hear my next door tv sound. Seems to have staff in the hotel but no one was answering the bell when I rang at the front door.

Stayed before. easy check in. Room clean. Quiet area. Good shower and simple breakfast, cereal, toast and juice. The sink shelf had been removed as was broken, which suggest the guesthouse have acted on reviews.
The walls are thin. Not bothered me before but I was next door to a man who spoke very loudly and could hear his conversation clearly til 11pm and again from 0700. I’ve stayed before and usually all guests are very respectful of verbal noise. Not the case this time. I politely requested a non dairy milk in advance as I stay often currently but this was not supplied.

The Winston is a lovely Guesthouse which is a five minute drive from Bicester Town centre, the rooms are clean and tidy. It has parking at the rear of the property and there is a public house and shops across the road.
The TV in the room was only small and the TV reception wasn't always good.

Room was clean, check in arrangements were well organised, quiet location, easy off street parking and convenient to pub across the street for meals. Breakfast available early.
Noise carries through the walls easily so if you've got inconsiderate neighbours it may be disruptive. No staff immediately available, so if need some assistance might be a problem.

Good value with basic breakfast included in price, Cereals, bread/toast & preserves, orange juice. Tea & coffee in conservatory also use of microwave. A good basic set up. Parking in rear. Pub with food across the road and a few shops, fish and chip shop, and local Co-op or Spar can't remember which.
Nothing as it was a good budget price.

We were very happy with this property and would happily use it again. Ideal for an overnight stop. Breakfast room good and clean. Because we did not need to leave early for work, we had the breakfast room to ourselves. The place was generally very quiet and warm and easy to find. The flexibility of being able to bring and prepare simple food for someone who has several food allergies was a real bonus that would not have been available in a traditional B&B.
There was no sink in the breakfast room to wash up mugs despite some of the photographs showing a cooker and a sink. Maybe the photographs need to be updated.
