I’ve stayed here a few times before, but this is the first time I’ve stayed in one of the refurbished rooms and they are much nicer and brighter. The bed is very comfortable with a choice of pillows and everywhere is spotlessly clean. The shower temperature and pressure are great and the Wi-Fi works very well. There is a large desk to work at witty and coffee, making facilities I found a room too warm, but once I turn the heater off it cool down nicely. When I turned the heater on again, the following morning, the room warmed up very quickly. The area is residential so very quiet and this is a safe area to walk through at night. There is on-site parking and breakfast is available, but I didn’t use either of these. The member of staff on reception arrival was very warm and friendly

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was a bit smaller than other hotels but very clean and adequate for us. The breakfast was very excellent and made with quality produce. My partner is a vegetarian and they prepared -to order - excellent quality veggie sausages for her. It is well worth the cost. Parking was secure and directly outside the room - a very reasonable price too for a city centre location

We were in a room near reception and were woken early by the laundry delivery and bin collection. Next time, we'll ask to be further away from reception

Everything, The room was lovely, modern and clean. extra plug cube with usb built in was a nice touch, plenty of space for clothes etc. The bathroom was lovely too, had a hair dryer that wasnt fixed perminently fixed so could used anywhere in the room. We came in fairly late and ordered a pizza, it was the best pizza i have ever eaten. as for breakfast, it had soooo much choice and its was on a help yourself basis, Yummy. The staff were excellant and helped in every way they could, nothing was too much. Parking is an added cost.

That we couldnt stay there longer. Also, to anyone going to stay at the Ibis, Get a clean air day pass at £8.00, because due to road & building works and diversions we ended up paying £120 for 2 fines trying to get back out of the city.

Excellent value, clean and well serviced with really friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are not in a typical hotel setting and are outside in a chalet style which was convenient for the car park.

The hotel has been renovated recently but some of the infrastructure is out of date meaning the shower has a pitifully slow flow. There have been some efforts to resolve this but whatever the source of the hot water is needs replacing. This was honestly the only thing that annoyed me and although it was only a 2 night stay, it was particularly hot weather and two showers a day were necessary so it stood out.

Bed and room was clean and comfortable and room was warm. Stayed here before and will stay again. Great location for 02 academy and just 5mins walk from bullring centre and also has secure parking.

No information about being located in clean air congestion centre. When asked at reception was told it was and we needed to go on line and pay the congestion charge of £8 per each day. Lack of information extremely annoying. If don't pay can face up to £120 fine so be careful folks!

The room was very good for an overnight stay. The bed was reasonably comfy. The bathroom was excellent, very modern and spacious. We couldn't get the TV to work so my husband went to reception and came back with one of the staff who was extremely helpful. She even suggested that we could move to another room but we declined. She eventually found the switch for the TV and we were up and running. We found the staff to be veryhelpful.

I thought the pillow that was on my bed was very hard and not at all comfortable. I realized when it was too late that I could have changed it with one of the extra pillows supplied. I was a bit disappointed with the breakfast as it was only tepid as there was nothing covering the tops of the plates.

Very good breakfast, self service similar to how Premier Inn offers its breakfast, location although inside Birmingham's new LEZ was perfect for a gig at the O2. Regarding the LEZ, this is paid through a government website, be VERY carful when paying, especially in advance, due to mild dyslexia I made a mistake on the confirm payment page, not realizing id made a date mistake, monies spent are non refundable, period is from midnight to midnight so I ended up paying quadruple! This of course is outwith the control of any hotel, but, hotels affected should perhaps make plain they are inside and perhaps offer some guidance. (link to the LEZ site perhaps)

The bed, sorry a topper on top of a very firm mattress fell short of comfort experienced elsewhere, Décor at this site could perhaps be looked at, rather gloomy. I was in room 26 forgot to tell reception that there is a very loose maintenance panel in the bathroom (fell off the wall) and that the temperature controls, (mixer tap arrangement), for the shower are very stiff, could hardly get a decent non boiling shower! Finally thought should be given for provision of a grab bar in the shower and a non slip surface in the bath, thought it was a bit dangerous for those who are older.

Everything about this hotel was perfect for our needs. Our rooms were spacious and clean. The staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was varied and plentiful. The location is perfectly situated for the O2 Academy where we were attending a concert, literally a stones throw away. Lots of lovely eateries nearby and also noticed the Hippodrome close by. Safe parking was also an added bonus for us. .Really can't fault our experience

If I am going to be picky, maybe the breakfast could have been a bit fresher and the bed slightly softer but this is just an observation not a criticism.

Nice, clean room, ready for our arrival. It is a dog friendly place, which we really appreciated; clean sheets, towels, the hygiene in the room was excellent . The extreme professionalism and friendliness of staff were EXCEPTIONAL ,thank you very much ;

We have arrived early afternoon and as it was very sunny day ,we have used the curtains to stop the heat(there was no A/C ,for which we were aware, fair enough). Also, the noise from the nearby school or playground in the afternoon, as it was a week day, was too much. The coverage of the TV was not good as well, but we were give access to the local internet, thank you;

The location was perfect for our stay. Staff were amazing and helpful. Breakfast was really good. I loved the bed as I prefer a harder surface to sleep on. Room was clean and tidy.

Husband didn't like the bed but he prefers a softer bed to me. The only thing letting it down was water pressure in shower wasn't as good as I would of liked. Room lighting was dull however ok.
