Atmosphere was great. Lounge was brilliant and very comfy and vibey.

Only complaint was scratchy sheets. Could have done with nicer bedding or more fabric softener. Other than that it was brilliant, very glad i chose this hotel.

Spacious and comfy room, exceptional bed, soft and great sleep. Very clean room, complimentary water, good furniture in the room, good provision of power plugs, great shower and bathroom. Very good hotel gym and good common spaces, particularly on the first floor. Very good breakfast, mix of hot/cold food, all fresh and very tasty. Walking distance to the centre/village, 2 supermarkets basically under the hotel a public launderette as well.

Stayed there 4 days and there was no change of towels and room was never serviced. I understand the policy but at least once in 3 days should be provided.

Modern, thoughtful decor. Bar and reception area as you walk in downstairs seems to be quite new and has good space for socialising with a group, get drinks, order light food. Reception staff were very helpful, and I was able to get checked in a little early. Lift system requires key card so only guests can make it beyond ground floor. Room was even bigger than I had expected. Plenty of towels, really nice shower gels and hand soaps provided. There was a powerful fan/heating system build into the room (it was VERY warm that day and I can't call it air con). Bed was very comfortable. Window opened to get a breeze in. My room overlooked the street, and the window at the lift area had a nice view of the pergola roundabout. I didn't hear any noise from other guests during my stay and slept very well.

The only notable things were: TV wasn't working correctly (remote batteries were fine as the buttons lit up, and TV powered on, but seemed one was not talking to the other). It was mentioned to reception for the purpose of the next guest, but it wasn't enough for me to be moved rooms or anything. Shower area is a fixed glass wetroom area, but water does get everywhere in there. It was unseasonably warm, and even with air circulation in the room, it did not seem to cool the room. Of course being on the main road, having the window open was a little noisy. At any other time of year I can't imagine the temperature being a problem. And it definitely wouldn't be cold in winter with the power of that heater system! I would definitely stay again.

The rooms are fairly simple but well maintained and comfortable. The hotel has some great amenities, nice bar and lounge area to relax in and shoot some pool if you so pleased. Location is excellent, a leisurely 10min walk form New st Station. Staff are all very personable and courteous. Overall I would certainly stay here again. I didn’t have the breakfast or try the restaurant so can’t comment on that. Although the menu looked like it had some good choices.

Very good location - reasonably short walk to the gay quarter, theatres, from the railway station and to the City Centre - Chinese Pagoda a good landmark to locate the property. Good little supermarket nearby for those last minute essentials. Very good breakfast selection and it was good to see milk alternatives and vegan butter on offer (although not a vegan myself, my friend has trained me well to look out for these things lol). Very comfortable bed and good size room - quiet location.

I wasn't there long enough really for anything to find fault with. I suppose not getting the tv to work was a minor inconvenience and if I had been staying longer then I would have contacted staff to get this rectified (I like to listen to late night radio 3 to chill out to when I get back late at night).

The atmosphere they create is wonderful. Very laid back, chilled music, they must emit a scent through the vents in the communal areas that smells beautiful and added bonus of free pool table. I struggle with sleep but beds comfy, noise cancelling windows and blackout curtains were very welcomed. Staff on reception extremely welcoming and friendly.

The only thing I could fault is that the television didn’t work properly in our room. We had come for an evening out though so it didn’t really affect our stay and when telling the person on check out they said they would look into it for next guests.

It was our third time staying here. Lovely reception area complete with a bar, (free!) pool table, shuffleboard and darts. Good range of drinks behind the bar too, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Good location - 15 minute walk into the centre and 10 minute walk to Bullring shopping centre/train station. Also round the corner from O2 academy. Reasonably priced parking round the corner at the NCP too.

Rooms could just do with a little TLC - ours was missing a curtain and had some lopsided frames on the wall but overall the pros outweighed the cons and we would return again.

The vibe in the downstairs area was amazing, some activities and games like darts and a small bar. The decorations in this area was also really nice. The room was huge with a nice walk in shower, and big comfortable bed. The location is great for going into Birmingham City Centre, only 5 minute walk from all the shops and restaurants.

The parking, although very secure, was quite expensive. Not as expensive as parking overnight in the city, but felt like it should be included. The television volume did not work at all, could not get the remote to work, nor the controls on the side, possibly set very low on purpose.

In November 2022, we were on our way from London to Glasgow, but our car broke down just outside of Birmingham. So, we decided to take a train to central Birmingham to stay the night and while we were waiting for the train, I managed to book a room in Pentahotel. We intended to stay just for one night as we had appointments to view houses in Glasgow and we had only one week to relocate. But the next day our car was still broken and we had to book a room again, but thankfully we managed to book it in Pentahotel as well. At the same time we knew we don't have much time as we needed to be out of our flat in London by next week, so we decided to look for our next home in Birmingham and so we decided to stay another night in Pentahotel to take care of business and now we actually live in Birmingham! I don't know it it was fate or not, but I'm grateful that I am where I am right now. If it wasn't for this particular hotel, its location, helpful staff, and our overall experience, we might have never make the decision to stay here permanently, so THANK YOU, PENTAHOTEL!

Great location, welcoming , relaxing with very nice bar areas and restaurant. The staff were superb from the second we checked in and were brilliant throughout our stay. I can honestly say that it was without doubt one of the nicest experiences I’ve had in any hotel and will definitely visit and stay again. I can thoroughly recommend this hotel and it’s staff and I can say to everyone, give it a try , you won’t be disappointed. Thank you for such a pleasant stay and see you again soon. 👍
