Cleanliness is extremely important and I was so pleased that the staff had worked hard to provide us with a very clean room and bathroom. The staff were all wonderful, polite, professional and friendly and tried to make our stay as lovely as possible. Was pleased with the tea and coffee facilities in the room too. Breakfast was lovely and well presented with plenty of choice. Hotel was set in a great location for driving to the different and spectacular areas of Snowdonia and not far from the west coast.

When I booked our stay, it was for a well deserved break from work and housework for the both of us. I therefore booked a hotel that described our room as "luxurious", "spacious" and "deluxe", just what we needed. However, our room was definitely not spacious (much smaller than ours at home) and the facilities were not luxurious in comparison to previous stays elsewhere. It was a good job we had brought all our toiletries with us as only shower gel was provided, no hand soap to wash our hands after a very long journey.

Staff were friendly and the hotel is modern with a good amount of space, clean and tidy, great location for other towns and easy to find. Looks great from the outside at night and there's a beautiful view at the front. Lots of parking. We got an upgrade which we really appreciated and all staff were happy to help with anything. Bed was comfy and warm, sleep quality was amazing which can be hard for some away from home, bath and shower were clean and spacious compared to a lot of other hotels and it was nice to be able to spread out.

The food was expensive for what it is, £15 for breakfast which is a lot if you're only having scrambled egg on toast or Cereal. Dinner was nice, i had the burger which tasted very fresh but the pizza tasted like a frozen one from tesco. There was a poo smell coming from our bathroom which was either the drains or the dirty toilet brush (which we didn't use and found on our last night, covered in loo roll and sat in dirty water in its holder). I notified the staff early on but there wasn't much that could be done other than to keep the drains plugged and the bathroom door shut, this helped but it was off putting.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Plas Weunydd, and I must say it was a perfect experience. The staff, mostly young individuals, exuded confidence and warmth, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. I was pleasantly surprised when they informed me of a complimentary upgrade, but even without that, the stay would have been enjoyable. The property's location, just a 40-minute drive from most Snowden routes, was convenient and the nearby views were truly captivating. The dining experience was delightful, with some dinner tables offering stunning views. The food itself was very nice, featuring a well-curated selection to suit various preferences. The check-in and check-out process was seamless, adding to the overall perfection of my stay. I would undoubtedly rate Plas Weunydd as a top-notch destination.

Nothing.

The hotel was very well kept and exceptionally clean. The room was quite comfortable and the additional climate control fan was appreciated as was the large screen TV with access to Netflix. The evening/night bar staff was excellent. The location allows easy access and a scenic drive into Portmerion and Snowdonia from the South or into Betws-y-Coed. The house itself is lovely. It is co-located with the Zip-Wire and Quarry Mine attractions. The staff were all very courteous, all of the time. Room cleaning does not start until 10:30 which eases the pressure in the morning. The welcome note in the room is a nice touch.

They do not take cash at the bar or restaurant (which has a limited selection). Our room, though clean and comfortable, was very compact (as was the toilet). The breakfast/staff were inconsistent. The 1st morning the buffet food ran down and was not refilled in a timely manner (eggs, mushrooms and yoghurt) nor were the empty tables quickly cleared . The second morning the buffet was kept somewhat better but not warmed. The third morning was spot on. Because of the working quarry and tourist attractions around it, it has a slight quirky industrial feel to it that is still scenic in its own way.

Very lovely, paid for budget (double) roombut it looked like a normal sized room, so that exceeded my expectations. Clean room and nicely decorated, fitted with a smart tv, fan, a desk and chairs (which not all hotels do), good WiFi connection. Comfortable, nice big bathroom with a tub and lots of “storage” space. Dining area also lovely and nicely decorated! Wish I got to stay longer, would come back.

Not a lot of options of food for breakfast (given the price) but it was a buffet.

Very clean and comfortable hotel with gorgeous views over the valley and hills beyond. Rooms well equipped and quiet. Friendly and attentive staff. Perfect location for zip world and mountain biking centre. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice on the buffet and good selection of juice and hot drinks.

Our room (12) was quite compact, the only mirror outside of the bathroom was behind the door which made it difficult for two people trying to get ready at the same time. Bathroom spotlessly clean and well equipped but very small- very little space between toilet, shower and walls. May be quite difficult for a larger or taller person!

Very friendly and helpful staff; reception, bar and restaurant. Impressive building.

I'm not sure a buffet breakfast is the best option for the hotel, certainly when its busy as it was the first morning we were there. The restaurant area is quite small (though attractively furnished) and there seemed too may people milling about between their table and the serving area. Much better on the second morning when the hotel was much more quite. We had dinner in the hotel the first night; excellent quality although the menu was limited with no starters. All staff, perhaps especially in the bar were very friendly and helpful.

Location great, hotel is beautiful and designed great. Bed was insanely comfortable and beer was great too. Very dog friendly!

The staff were insanely untrained, it was almost like a comedy show... breakfast staff were young and seemed to have no guidance at all. Breakfast was just not good(food and service) Evening staff when we first checked in were just sat in restaurant talking and then when we sat outside they came out and started smoking next to us and talking about personal lives.... it all just seemed completely unmanaged, such a shame as it is a beautiful hotel with such potential.

The views were beautiful. The hotel was clean.

Breakfast it was misleading. I thought it was table service, but it was a help yourself. We arrived at 9.15, and there was no continental breakfast left. Well, I mean, no pastries, only apples and orange's, when asked they said no they have gone. We also had to ask for more bread for toast. Coffe was way too strong, and you only get 1 cup as you only get asked once, and nobody else comes to you even though there were 3 waiting on staff that I saw standing by the bar. Breakfast was I big disappointed 😞 as the night before we had the most amazing meal.

Good food, some nice dishes on the menu, doubt there’s much else nearby unless you want to travel into Porthmadog. Staff are really great, friendly and helpful. Rooms where clean and adequate. Great location.

Just minor things. Breakfast wasn’t the best, rooms, even with up grade are a little small but the upgraded room had a large bathroom with wall in shower which was great. The mirrors and lighting seems all in the wrong place so my wife struggled with applying her make up etc. no plug socket next to the mirror to do her hair with.
