Good sized room with ensuite bathroom. Friendly staff and convenient location.

With the function room directly below the noise from the singing and dancing disrupted sleep, and with the weather so humid there was no fan in the room so was very hot in the night. Overall not a great night's sleep 😴 As guests there was no option for having a tab open for evening meal although this was not a massive inconvenience. However there were no facilities for breakfast at the venue so we had to fend for ourselves on a Sunday when a lot of places were shut. It seems that the website is not maintained as the venue has recently changed hands so is not accurate when it comes to breakfast being available. It would perhaps be an option for cereal or pastries to be provided in the room (as I've seen this offered elsewhere) 😁

We knew that this is a lively pub and that they don't serve breakfast, so everything met our expectations. Very nice family room, the bed and sofa bed were comfortable and all was spotlessly clean. There is an excellent vegan cafe just down the road where we had a fantastic breakfast. Would stay here again.

Don't choose if you want a quiet early night😄 Otherwise all good.

The staff were great, very friendly and helpful. The owners couldn't of done anymore to make our stay great. The room was good size, great value for money. Bed was very comfy. All we needed after the a long journey. No iron or hair dryer in room but they were available on request. Bedding clean and fresh. Good size shower. It was plain to see the owners take pride at The Griffin, and work hard.The food was lovely only that mine was way too hot (spicy) Peri Peri Chicken and couldn't eat it, but my husband enjoyed his , the young bar waitress changed it for me without me requesting which I was very grateful for. Thank you. The location was beautiful and ideal for sightseeing. Its right at the base of Snowdonia. Would definitely stay again Highly recommend 👌

Very clean room, and big shower with excellent water pressure. Friendly and helpful staff. We could log into our own Netflix to watch a film which was a bonus after a long drive.

A lamp beside the bed would have been helpful. It was a particularly hot day so we would’ve benefitted from a fan as our room had been getting the sun all afternoon so when we arrived in the evening it was very hot. But I didn’t ask either so I’m sure they would have helped if they could.

Room was nice and comfortable. Evening food served by the pub was very nice. Great atmosphere, very popular local pub. Would definitly book again

The was nothing that we didn't like, however there are 2 days a week were breakfast is not included, but the the price was the same as other. The pub seems to own cafe at the back which is open 7 days a week. On the days breakfast is not served in the pub they could maybe offer a voucher for the cafe or money off an evening meal maybe.

This was a great hotel/pub... The room was great with a great shower and very clean room.. The bar staff was a young fella who was very friendly and an all round great bloke. There was a great walk across the rail tracks to a lone house where the estuary is... the owner came down and chatted with us..

There is not a lot to do in this area but we enjoyed it anyway.. the local cafe served great food... the walk was good.. and there is a train ride.. pretty decent

The room was a good size very clean. Downstairs is a games room with pool table and darts and there are 2 other rooms if you want a quiet drink. The staff were very friendly. Your only 7min drive away from portmeirion and 10min away from portmadog. There is various food places around although you can't take food in to the hotel.

It's not that I didn't like but it would have been better if there was breakfast avaliable and other meals from Monday to Wednesday instead of just Wednesday to Sunday

The hotel/bar/restaurant has been very nicely refurbished with an elegant but relaxing colour scheme and good quality fittings. The rooms are a good size and the bathroom is brand new. The restaurant serves good food at reasonable prices.

It would be great if the hotel would offer breakfast because the local cafe doesn't open until 10 am.

The Inn is charming and the staff were helpful and friendly to us. The bed and blanket were very comfortable. It was nice to have a tv in the room. It was also near bus stops, which we needed. The best part was the Steak Night they had. Some of the best steak I’ve ever had.

The booking suggested there was breakfast included for all those staying in their rooms, but there were no instructions or clue ins as to when it would be served or where, so we missed it.

The property has recently been restored so all facilities are brand new. The place is really busy on a Friday and Saturday night, seems a hit with the locals. Staff are really friendly. I wasn’t sure about the cost of drinks, the same round cost different every time. The room was very comfortable and spacious, for the price we were expecting the quality to be far less impressive.

Shame they don’t do breakfast, the only breakfast options we could find locally was the Spar across the road. Food wasn’t the best, the menu was good but we had the curry and it was the saltiest thing I’ve ever had. Probably just a minor issue though. Car parking isn’t the best, a local complained about us parking outside his house on the main road.
