The room was nicely located and easily accessible with good facilities. Once the room got warm it was comfortable. Food in the golf course bar was exceptional (the mushroom pasta was incredible) Staff were very friendly and accommodating (especially when ordering a cocktail not on the menu) Reception welcome was very informative and we were even offered an umbrella on the last night to get back to the room due to weather.

Bed was a little hard and there were a small number or cobwebs in the corner of the room. Room did cool quickly when heater was not on.

The bed was very comfy - loads of space in the room and the bath took minutes to fill . Everything you could want from a hotel room. Lovely personal touches eg little notes left from the team. Everything was clean - nice range of teas and coffees - the kettle was spotless. Heated Towel rail that actually works!

Not so much a terrible thing but the breakfast isn't available every day. We couldn't see any information stating this - would've loved to have tried the in house breakfast. We asked at front desk and they only offer breakfast friday - sat - sun. Which is understandable for many reasons we just didn't know. The lighting maybe could do with checking as it was abit dim in there a few flickers and one spotlight above the bed stayed on a few seconds after I'd switched it off which confused me... Nothing that affected the quality of the stay though!

Well appointed room in a separate outbuilding to a golf range club with free parking~modern facility~good size room~enormous comfortable beds~tea and coffee etc in the room~electric convector heating system~no B&B available ~so room only!!

The problem with the electric convector heater was it was only really activated when door key turns on the electricity and lights~which means that on arrival at the moment the room is freezing and it took all night even having it on max to warm up the room so it's not worth staying here for 1 night as it won't be very pleasant~we were here for 2 nights so for the 2nd day it wasn't too bad~so unless you like it fresh I would avoid winter months bizarrely the hallways were nice and warm!!

The staff were excellent and very friendly. Nothing was too much for them, and they went out of their way to help and provided us with local information, especially the gentleman from Durham, who made sure everything was up to scratch. The room was very spacious with plenty of room to hang and store clothes etc, there was an iron and a small ironing board, kettle, milk, tea, coffee and sugar were also provided together with soap and shampoo dispensers in the bathroom. Booking.com made an error with the size of room we required. However, the hotel reception staff resolved this whilst we were booking in.

The meals were a bit overpriced, and the restaurant closed a little early for us.

We arrived at 2.15pm on the Friday and ordered a round of drinks at the bar and started our weekend celebrations. At 2.30pm there was a power cut, so we made the most of the bar as we could not get into our hotel rooms. This power cut lasted until 7.15pm and as there was no electrics available the staff rustled up some chicken wraps and some vegie wraps to keep us going. It was touch and go at one stage as the emergency lights were running low which would have meant the bar had to close on health and safety grounds but the power came on just in time and more friends turned up after this. We ended up leaving the bar at 10pm :-)

Excellent room balcony was a lovely touch throughly enjoyed sitting there to have my morning coffee watching the wildlife. Staff went above and beyond giving me extra coffee and milk which I made a flask of before my shift (helped me through my late shift) I also had enough for another flask that got me through my shift 8 hours later plus my drive home. Will definitely be rebooking when I'm in the area again.

Due to my shift pattern I only spent 7 hours here would of preferred to spend longer

Clean, comfy, Trevor on reception was an absolute diamond 💎 just what we needed when we arrived. Ground and surrounding so clean, quiet, comfy. What a hidden little gem. Location was very central to main connecting roads from what I experienced but I'm no geography teacher!! Thanks guys, see you again soon.

There was a toy lizard in the carpark, obviously dropped from a trip by a child, but it was dark and the toy was very realistic, I had to get up early and check if it was real because I was intrigued ... safe to say tossing rocks gently near a plastic lizard in my pjs at 7am wasn't the start to the day I was expecting but it made the trip more memorable nonetheless. Maybe it would be a marketing strategy people won't forget!!

Great location for national golf centre, woodhall Spa. Staff first class, especially Keith! Facilities first class and room was very spacious. Lots to do on site including full length 9 hole golf course and driving range. Bar, food and drinks excellent 👍

No / limited housekeeping throughout my stay. As a solo adult traveller asking for new towels, etc was not a major issue but could be an issue for families with children?

there was a mix up with the room but resolved quickly

there was only 2 sockets in the room, I need to sleep on a C.P.A.P machine and there were no sockets near the bed, so had to have an extension across the room, as the only double socket was near the dressing table and away from the bed, this caused a ' trip hazard for myself and my partner, (we are both in our seventies) , also we had to keep changing plugs for different items i.e. mobiles (we have one each ) iPads ,my disable scooter battery also needed charging over night, and the kettle needed a socket, the lack of sockets was a big problem.

Facilities very good. Catered for all ages. Room very spacious and clean. Lovely bar area.

Evening menu limited only one pizza available. Breakfast. Not much available from menu. Three different breakfast options they didn't have! We had to complain about mushrooms, which were replaced, but we could"nt eat the replacements as they were the same! They were hard, appeared deep fried and could'nt slice them! Otherwise quality was goodWe would definitely stay again
