Overall we were really pleased with our stay at Twenty Hotel & Bar. Our room was at the very top of the hotel facing onto the street. The room was comfortable and had a fridge which was very welcome during the summer heat we've been having. The ensuite bathroom was modern, if a little snug. The location of the hotel is very central and only a 2 minute walk to the town centre. The staff were friendly and it was easy to let yourself in and out of the hotel building when the bar itself was closed. There were lots of options for paid parking nearby which was about £4 or so for the day and easy to do via an app.

Because of the heat we needed to have the windows open and the street and bar below were VERY noisy until midnight or so. However, based on previous reviews we knew that the bar below the hotel was likely to be noisy in the evenings and as we were prepared for this it wasn't a big problem.

The very warm welcome. Excellent location - 5 mins walk from train station, 3 minutes walk from town centre. Fridge, microwave, kettle in room. Spotlessly clean. Lovely little bar downstairs. Didn't hear it in my room (7)

One very small downside for me was hanging space. Suitable for shirts, trousers, jackets etc but not long coats or dresses - but draped mine over the chair in room. One of the bedside reading lights was definitely not bright enough. All very minor niggles 😂

Very clean hotel room at a good price. Had a kettle, microwave and mini fridge & tea/coffee supplies. Arrived out of hours so had to use the on call phone number. The woman on the phone was very helpful and getting into my room was very simple.

Walls have sound proofing but you can still hear everything in the hallway very clearly so not the best if you are a light sleeper. Parking is close by but costs £4 for 24 hours

Room was above a lively bar that was open until midnight. Although the music couldn't be heard in the room, the bass could. There seemed to be lots of talking and door slamming that could be heard. Car park was a public car park, very close to venue but out of sight. On very hot days, the room could get warm.

A very warm welcome, greeted with a big smile and very promptly shown to the room. The bar was a really nice place to be with the added bonus of a large riverside garden and a sun terrace almost outside the room. the room itself has everything we needed for an overnight stay and even had a microwave / iron & hairdryer provided as well as the obligatory coffee making facilities of course.

The street could get a little lively at night, but the room had double glazing so that could easily be rectified.

The room had all the basic things we needed. Bed was relatively comfortable (nothing beats my own sorry 😂) We were upgraded to a garden view room free of charge as it was our wedding day, this was very kind 😀 Easy check in.

The toilet roll holder in the bathroom is a little loose. It was also very noisy, the walls are very thin & I heard everything. At one point someone came in, slammed the doors & in not sure if they were burping, hiccuping or wretching 😂😂

great location near the city centre. perfect for the Boston marathon. 4 min walk from the start. the room was small but well equipped and comfortable. perfectly fine for 1 night stay. I stayed in room number 5 and it was very quiet. staff was very friendly and very accommodating.

a bit confusing to get in first as two different entry keypads.

Warm and cosy room. Bar downstairs with nice large garden backing onto the canal. Bar owner was accommodating and nice. Very close to town centre

Can be noisy at bar kick out time (not the fault of the owner) Our room was at the front, bottle bin collection in the morning was a rude awakening. Again nothing the owner can do and this is easily the best place on this street.

Staff very friendly, booking in quick and easy, rooms nice and secure Rooms were very nice, decor lovely and super clean Lovely terrace for our morning coffee and a really nice beer garden attached to the hotel Eateries in very close vicinity, shame we only stayed the one night
