It is in a great location with parking. We were two ladies of a certain age( older)! We found all the staff couldn’t have been more helpful, from the delightful Emma on reception who went out of her way to find us a map of the local area through to the kind and thoughtful restaurant staff like Jack who was very helpful regarding the menu and gluten free options. The cocktail barman was also very helpful. All the staff we met were super! The food was delicious both at breakfast and at dinner and we ate there both nights although we hadn’t planned too but changed our minds after enjoying a first rate meal the first night! Compliments to the chef and kitchen staff! Our twin bedded room was very clean well appointed with everything we needed including Bramley toiletries , bottled water and lovely tea tray. We were there on one of the very rare hot nights this summer and very grateful for the potable room fan. There is a lovely courtyard garden with plenty of seating should the weather be fine!

The staff were excellent. Always helpful. Sophie in the dining room very polite and attentive. Nothing too much trouble. Breakfast very good and lots of choice. Thought the pizza barn excellent, some of the best pizzas we have ever had. Service there good too

Had problems finding the car park. A different sat nav code to the hotel would have been helpful and maybe a map with directions how to access it. Our room was good but would have benefitted from having a wardrobe with coat hangers. As we were staying 4 days somewhere to hang our clothes would have been nice. We had a sort of rail but no coat hangers

A beautiful old characterful hotel, in the centre of Bridport and in walking distance of everywhere. The hotel is decorated tastefully - fresh paintwork, new carpets and fittings - all amenities considerately provided. A brass bedstead, clean linen and a comfortable mattress. Fresh fruit, yoghurt cereals, and croissants provided, as well as options for a cooked breakfast. Decent coffee. As well as the main restaurant, theres an attractive courtyard . The old ballroom looks like a pretty place to hold small functions.

The noisy seagulls! Next time, I will bring earplugs. Perhaps Bridport council could clear up takeaway food waste?

Lovely room, clean and modern facilities.

Restaurant was good, but could have been great with a little more attention to detail. At this level, gravy (sauce) needs to be made fresh, not out of a packet, and slightly dodgy avocados for breakfast should be ditched. They brought the rest of the ingredients, which were otherwise pretty good, down. Similarly, the breakfast sausages, OJ amd bacon. Going for quality, not just price, will make a huge difference.

This is a charming hotel that has been in operation in some form for centuries. It feels like an old carriage house with creaky stairs and some lower ceilings, but has a lovely dining room and pretty rooms. We had two: one in the main house and one in an outbuilding. Both were nicely decorated and comfortable with the suite in the garden being extra special. Dinner was delicious as was breakfast and the staff was adorable. We also enjoyed a street market in Bridport and found it a perfect place to access the Jurassic Coast.

Steep stairs for heavy luggage! Everything else was lovely for a one night stay.

Firstly, the front of the house lady was so smiling and friendly. She was very accommodating with parking information. She also I believe recognised that my husband had a hidden Disability and gave him time to answer.

Our room, the Mews, was spacious, beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. Everything we needed. Finding accommodation with a husband with dementia when so young is tricky!! Taking a risk is a challenge. We are on our way to visit family, which we haven't seen in 4 yrs with covid, etc. Thank you very much, The Bull Hotel.

This hotel was in a different class to those we normally find. We had a luxury room with a king sized bed our own private vintage bath in the corner. The decor was sumptuous and everything worked and we had a view over the courtyard and garden. The Hotel is situated right in the main high street of Bridport. Dinner was high standard, really tasty and reasonably priced, breakfast was included and welcome. On reflection dinner was unusually good for a hotel, I had hake on a mussel volute with samphire and my wife had pork chop but our shared starter was a trio of huge scallops lightly seared and delicious. There was private parking around the back.

The only drawback was the WiFi was not working correctly as we could access it but could not sign in to it. However in these days of smart phones it was very easy to pull up a hotspot on a phone.

we had the family suite which had a little lounge that gave somewhere to chill out. There wasn’t really a comfy lounge to sit in, only the bar or the restaurant.

No comfy lounge to sit in. only the bar or the restaurant. There was a bar upstairs, where we sat waiting for our table in the restaurant, that had a couple of sofas, however it lacked atmosphere. You had to walk through an empty ballroom to get there, there was no bar person up there, and only a couple of other people waiting for their table. They did bring us drinks, and came to get us when our table was ready, but it felt a bit out of the way and joyless.

Old character Property with a stunning courtyard with easy reach to the town, the staff made us both feel very welcome from first stepping into the building to the last. Nothing was too much trouble and it was nice to feel welcomed. The pizzeria was great only open for a limited period during our stay shame I would have like d to try more.

Lack of a fridge in the room would have helped with cool drinks etc.

Clean, spacious and modern bedroom. Good noise prevention solutions in place, which are much needed on the busy road. Free parking. Friendly and very accommodating staff.

Food and drink very pricey. Food was ok at breakfast, so didn’t stay for evening meal as many other options available nearby. Service was slow at both the bar and restaurant. The staff were always very keen to help, so maybe they were a little understaffed?
