The hosts, Lucy & Charlie, were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. The premises were spotlessly clean with rural views across miles of Dorset countryside. The breakfasts cooked by Charlie were superb, using quality products with each item cooked to perfection. Our hosts joined us for breakfast and we enjoyed chatting and a bit of banter! A lovely way to start the day. We loved the quiet of the countryside and seeing all the animals on the farm. One of the best properties we have ever been to.

There was nothing not to like about it. Our only comment is that the lane to the property is narrow and twisty and might not suit nervous drivers. Having said that, we had no problem with it.

We were welcomed with open arms as soon as we pulled up at the farm. Despite the torrential rain, we were even able to bottle feed lambs within hours of arriving. The downstairs bedroom was beautifully decorated, spacious and looked out onto the farm land. The bathroom was modern and spotlessly clean! Breakfast was delicious - using their farm produce and our baby was even catered for. We would love to return.

No radiators (apart from 1 in bathroom) so can't control the rooms temperature and not much space to dry clothes (only an issue as we were unlucky and got drenched). Driving the lanes was fine, I can imagine some people may find it worrying but you can't enjoy the beauty of the countryside otherwise. A wonderful stay, thank you

This was our 2nd visit to Copse Gate... which should speak for itself. Our hosts, Charlie and Lucy, couldn't be more welcoming. As soon as we arrived, a hot cup of tea and a slice of homemade cake were on the table. It's easy to find, once you know where you're going, but when using satnav, be aware that it doesn't take you to the door. When it says "You have arrived...", you haven't. Copse Gate is another 2 or 3 minutes further on and you can't miss it. The gate is right in front of you on a tight bend.. Breakfast was amazing... again. The room was clean and comfortable... again. There are slightly cheaper options, for those on a tight budget, but you get what you pay for. In our experience, Copse Gate gives you far MORE than you pay for!.

This is actually a positive for me, but I think for a fair review, it should be mentioned. I can't speak for the rest of the house, but in our room on the ground floor, the Internet reception is weak and sporadic. It does dip out quite a bit. Having said that, if a poor Internet connection is enough to spoil your holiday, you're missing the point of Copse Gate and you may as well stay at a Premier Inn.

As the name suggests this is a farm so it's a little bit off the beaten track, but it is very quiet and has magnificent views over the countryside to the distant hills. The breakfast was fantastic with home cured bacon and sausage from Charlie's pigs. The hens roam free around the garden and the poly tunnel produces the tomatoes. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Charlie and Lucy made us feel very welcome and joined us at the breakfast table.

There was nothing not to like.

Breakfast was excellent. Most of the food was produced on the farm - eggs, bacon and sausages , full cream jersey milk. semi skimmed or skimmed is available. Plenty of choice and as much as we wanted. All cooked fresh. We ate with Lucy and Charlie. There was lots of friendly conversation and banter. Recommend 100% Location. The view from the farm is spectacular. Green fields and hills and farm animals right up to the garden. It was a delight to get up in the morning.

It couldn't be improved.

Lucy and Charlie prepare a full English breakfast that is not to be believed. It is not just farm to table it's farm to fork! When we arrived, we were greeted warmly with a Victoria sponge that we ate with Charlie and Lucy as a family because that's what it felt like...coming to a family member's home for a visit. We highly recommend Copse Gate Farm!

We could have stayed longer!

Extremely welcoming and friendly hosts - Charlie and Lucy. Being a small farm the produce for breakfast is virtually all on-site. We bought eggs, sausages and burgers (all home produced) to take away. Wonderful views across the Marshwood Vale. The building is new and very well appointed, with a very large kitchen-diner for breakfast.

A wonderful three night stay,we received a warm welcome from Charlie & Lucy when we arrived, a cup of tea and a large portion of homemade Victoria sponge. each day starting with a brilliant breakfast, after a great nights sleep in our lovely garden patio room. not forgetting Charlie’s great stories. My wife and myself will definitely be returning hopefully soon to this brilliant 10 ⭐️ accommodation. Thank you Charlie & Lucy Till next time. Joe &Ann 😜

The Farm was reached along narrow country lanes however we were unprepared for the totally amazing views we found on arrival, beautiful location! Charlie and Lucy are great hosts, friendly, welcoming, obliging (and very hardworking!) Everything was provided to make our stay pleasant and enjoyable with great attention to detail. The room and en-suite were spacious and comfortable with the beautiful view and the bonus of a patio door!. Breakfast was exceptional with quality fresh food from the farm, prepared cooked and served by our hosts and delicious! Thank you!

We would always prefer twin beds but next time time we must book earlier to secure the twin bed room! The Farm is so popular, well done Charlie and Lucy,

The location was peaceful, and the hospitality of our hosts was superb. Excellent breakfast, but maybe a little too much food!

The room was very cold on our first night, and it was difficult to adjust the temperature. The next day, our hosts gave us a warmer duvet, plus a small heater for the room, so that made a difference. There was a memory foam mattress topper on the bed, but the design had hard ridges right across the bed, which made sleeping a bit uncomfortable. Sorry, but the pillows are too large and too hard, softer ones would have been nicer, to help with a good night's sleep!
