the staff were amazing , we had a little problem as we aren't phone savvy with the APP for parking but they helped us straight away with a smile and they were busy . staff even helped us with our bags on arrival . We noticed that all the staff seemed happy all the time we were there . Break fast was wonderful . Continental was above our expectations , every thing you could wish for and full English , top marks especially for the mushrooms with thyme . We will be back . do not be put off by the parking it can all be sorted . views over the sea whilst having breakfast perfect .

The location of the hotel is fantastic right in the town and next to the sea. The property is lovely and the staff very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, warm and comfortable with quality amenities (Elemis toiletries, Nespresso machine etc) Breakfast was plentiful and delicious and the dining room had views of the sea. Check in and check out were a breeze all in all a very good experience.
There is no parking but we were aware of that when we booked. This is a bit of a hassle though with car parks nearby being short stay only. The long stay car park is a 10 min walk up a very steep hill, but fine to dump the car there for a few days. The one evening meal we had there was good but not great, although perhaps my expectations were high after reading other glowing reviews. I would still recommend it as decent pub food.

Excellent location. Staff super friendly. Room was lovely, tasteful decor. Breakfast was the best I’ve had for a long time and I travel for work frequently so I’m staying away a lot. Other reviews mention the lack of parking. Well, it’s Lyme Regis and most places in Lyme Regis have no parking, that’s the quaintness you get from staying on the seafront in Lyme Regis. There are two little car parks within 10 yards and although 3 hours max stay, can be topped up using the app on your phone both are free overnight after 6 pm. Other that that, the NCP in the high street is like 2 minutes walk and although expensive, is convenient. We extended the overnight parking using app on phone in the morning whilst still in bed.
Not a great gluten free menu but If like me you are gluten free, the Pilot boat right next door has a great gluten free menu, as does The Wave, along towards the Cobb.

Both myself and my wife have some food allergies which was catered for, my wife is Celiac and she was confident eating the food ordered and the staff were more than happy to help us. The room was excellent, our room was right at the top. It had a great view and the overall feel was excellent. Only niggle would be the access to the room was up some very tight stairs, but it was worth it for the room and view. Would definitely recommend and we will be coming back.

The location could not be better, right on Cobb Gate (R.I.P. the old chippy!). We had a beautiful uninterrupted sea view from our window. Perfect for anybody wishing to be right in the heart of Lyme Regis, right on the shore. The room was well appointed and nicely decorated. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and made our stay all the better. And the breakfast was excellent!
I have no complaints! It's not necessarily the cheapest place to stay in Lyme, but if you're after a lovely stay, it's worth it for the incredible location and views.

Absolutely fabulous! The staff are so friendly and welcoming, the pub and restaurant is cosy and just perfect for what we wanted for our stay during Christmas week. When we arrived we were given a free upgrade to a king bed and a bigger room. The room was gorgeous, quaint wobbly floors could be difficult for those with mobility issues, but this is a gorgeous old pub so is to be expected. The coffee and tea making facilities were good, the room was beautifully clean and our shower was wonderful! Breakfast was absolutely great, the continental was delicious and the full English was cooked to perfection for me. There was a small exception of no veggie sausages on the first day and on the second day they forgot to cook the sausage and only brought out one at the end of breakfast. However, the staff were very apologetic and did their best to make up for the lack of sausage!! The Inn looked beautiful for Christmas time and the location was perfect, situated right next to the cob and close to all the shops and facilities. We would definitely stay again.
We had a room facing the street (no. 1) and the sash window rattled a lot during the storm and with passing traffic quite a lot and kept us awake. This would be easily fixed though and was a small issue. As mentioned the floors were uneven and this made the bed a bit sloped to sleep in!! However, the building is obviously steeped in rich history and the floors are to be expected.

Position overlooking the sea, and at the bottom of a small hill on the high street so easy to reach amenities and some good shops. The hotel is very old and in parts a bit worn however, staff went to some trouble to make the room very comfortable with nice elemis products and plenty of towels. Ate in the restaurant in the evening and the meal was very good but not fancy. Also breakfast included in the price had plenty of hot and cold options and nothing was too much trouble. Opted for avocado and poached eggs on toast and there was more than enough. The staff were lovely and couldn't have been more helpful and pleasant.
We arrived during a storm and high winds. It was possible to hear the wind through the bathroom window but didn't really interfere with sleep. Stairs are steep in parts and no lift so a problem perhaps for those with less mobility.

Very pleasant boutique hotel with exceptional pub/restaurant and offering first-class breakfast. The room was extremely good, well equipped, good bathroom, comfortable bed, strong wifi, really couldn't fault anything in the room. And an exceptional location, right next to both the sea and the shops.
Well, it's not cheap and whilst parking is not too much of an issue when only staying one night (parking in the adjacent municipal car park is free during the night), it could be a problem for a stay of several days.

Location excellent right on the sea front with views of the bay. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. Room well equipped and comfortable. Lyme Regis is a lovely, quaint seaside town which I would love to visit again for longer.
The only thing that was disappointing was the fact that the outside was being done up and the building was surrounded by scaffolding. The workmen did not start early enough to disturb us. I am sure it will be wonderful when the work is finished very soon.

The staff were very helpful and enthusiastic and did everything to make our stay enjoyable. We had dinner 2 nights and on both occasions the meals were of a high standard. Breakfast is excellent with a fine choice of continental or cooked. The room was very comfortable with all facilities such as coffee maker hair dryer etc. The weather was very hot but a fan was provided.. Wa were very happy with our sea view.
The only drawbacks were : a. Lack of lift. The stairs were steep and we were on the second floor so it was a bit of a climb. b. We parked in a long stay car park which entailed a long trek up a steep hill. However, the location of the Rock Point Inn more than made up for this inconvenience.
