We received an amiable welcome the 2 on-duty staff of this nice, well-situated family operated B & B. The rooms, toilet and shower were nicely furnished, decorated and clean, with towels being charged daily. Daily supply of coffee, tea and biscuits, as well as cleaning of the rooms. The dining room is nicely decorated and provided an excellent view of Lyme Regis Harbour, the sea, surrounding cliffs mountain ranges. Breakfast was delicious. The Daniel, who was the main host during our stay was engaging and helpful in making our stay an enjoyable one.

The owners were very thoughtful, welcoming and friendly. A car park had been reserved for us at the property and we were helped with getting our suitcases up the flight of stairs. The room was extremely clean and modern and unexpectedly it was serviced during our stay. We had a lovely view of the coastline from our room as well as the breakfast room. Breakfast was very good and providing a GF breakfast was easy to organise. A great location to walk into town - though it is a steep walk back up the hill.

Daniel and Lisa were lovely hosts, and we were very happy with the location of the property in Lyme Regis. They prepared a marvellous full English breakfast, which was consumed with a stunning view of the cliffs and ocean. Given the restraints of space, the bedroom and bathroom had everything we required, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The bedroom and bathroom were impeccably clean and were serviced each day of our stay. We cannot recommend Lucerne B & B more highly.

We booked Lucerne for my mother who is 85 and needed accommodation over Easter while we stayed in Lyme. The staff were so kind and friendly. She loved her room -the bed was so comfortable. And the TV played her favourite radio station. She commented so often about the beautiful view from the breakfast area. The access down to the sea front was manageable for her and staying at the Lucerne made the weekend all the better! We will definitely book again!

The room was great. I was travelling alone and the room was a good size for me: not at all cramped. It was tastefully decorated and well appointed. The bed was very comfortable. The ensuite had a good walk-in shower. Everything was spotlessly clean. There was even a long window box full of red and yellow begonias outside the bedroom window. The breakfast was good: nicely cooked scrambled egg, decent coffee and the breakfast room had a fantastic view of the sea! Staff were very helpful. Free parking, no time restrictions right outside the front was an additional bonus.

While "Lucerne" is located on a flat road, beware of Hill Road at the end of View Road which is the only way I found of walking into town or the beach. Let's say it lives up to its name: it is extremely steep. I am not that fit but don't have real mobility issues - probably a show stopper for a wheelchair user?

Everything was very nice, spotlessly clean, lovely hosts, breakfast was very good, full English lovely, the fruit selection was superb, fresh strawberries, raspberries and blueberries, NO tinned fruit 😋, car park for 2 cars, less than 10 minutes walk into Lyme Regis Town centre, highly recommended.

Nothing, we enjoyed our stay at Lucerne guest house.

Dan was very helpful and friendly and helped us with our cases which was very much appreciated. He also suggested places to eat and helped us get our bearings. The breakfasts were very good too!

Everything was fine and we would recommend the Lucerne to other quests - it was quiet and comfortable and close to the centre and beach.

Everything was wonderful. The room was well laid out and efficient. The entire place was exceptionally clean. Breakfast was generous and delicious in a beautiful sunny room with a stunning view of the sweeping coastline. Our hosts were very helpful and personable. We would definitely return if given the opportunity.

Breakfast was great, good choice and catered for vegans. Super friendly host who couldn't have been helpful. Beautiful sea view, lovely clean room with good selection of drinks and snacks. Had a great time.

Very hard to think of anything! Unless you are a serious walker the steep hill is very tough on the legs if you walk into Lyme and back.

We had to change the arrival date and this was arranged with no fuss, and we were moved into the original room on day 2. I'm gluten-free so I informed them in advance. There were plenty of options for breakfast, the toast was actually toasted (often it's untoasted and soft) and there were gf biscuits in the room. Everyone and everything was lovely. Great location with sea views and short walk to town/beach.

En-suite was a bit small but that's not their fault.
