The location was good. The gentleman on reception was very pleasant. The photos online are very accurate ie room layout and size. It was value for money.

The parking was a nightmare. We were offered a parking permit to purchase and then you had to drive up and down every side street looking for a parking spot. First come first served basis. I finally found one a 10 minute walk away. This was very demanding after a long journey.

Proxisimity to the beach

Nothing against drag acts but that seemed the only evening entertainment.

Everything was very clean, bed was lovely and comfortable, staff are chatty and friendly. I had booked basement room for stay, I was there for 2night, & they kindly upgraded my room for rest of stay. The staff at reception were friendly, chatty , and friendly. . Location is ideal, Brighton beach and pier 1 minute away, Brighton Pavilion 5mins approx. Close to zip wire and rail attraction. It's very close to St. James street, all the gay bars in/ around there, plus loads of nice cafes, restaurants also.

On Thurs of my staff, there was a severe thunder storm, very heavy rain, thunder & lightning. The ceiling had a slight crack, and after a few minutes there was a small leak/ a few drops of rain continously coming down.. I said this to the man at reception , he checked it and he fixed the problem. < cleaned or relieved rain gutter etc> This problem was quickly resolved, a small issue is all..

Location was fantastic, short walk to pier, sealife, the Lanes, shops, pubs, bars, restaurants etc. Staff really helpful. The room was clean and tidy, bit dated decor wise, balcony and sea view were great. Bar was very lively, mostly LGBTQ community which we are not part of but perfectly acceptable and was fine by us, had some great chats and we were accepted.

The bar was below the room and got some noise most nights, but ear plugs were provided and the reception staff offered a less noisy room if needed. We managed ok it might be a bit much for some if your'e sensitive to it.

One night stay at the hotel. Staff were very helpful, room was spacious and very comfortable beds. Spotlessly clean with a lovely balcony overlooking the beach front. Bar attached to hotel which had great cabaret. Hotel is very close to shops , bars, resturants and the pier. Parking permit given with 24hours. Will definitely stay again.

Bathroom was slightly old with loose toilet but absolutely no issues with the water or pressure

The staff were amazing. Especially mateos He was very friendly and extremely helpful and even gave us a discount on the following day when we stayed. So friendly at the bar next door as well.

The one we stayed in initially was a tiny bit noisy, but we knew that before we came anyway, as they did state this and kindly gave earplugs to. We had a Seaview run the next day which could’ve done with a new TV and a little bit of updating, but all in all we enjoyed our stay as the staff were so helpful and friendly. Even let us check in early and out without extra payment.

The hotel is located on Brighton seafront opposite the Sealife Centre and the pier. It's within a 10 minute walk to The Lanes and 20 mins from Churchill Square. I stayed in a single room which was small but for a solo traveller it was perfectly fine. There was plenty of tea/coffee/hot chocolate options in the room which was a nice touch. Due to the hotel being near the seafront and it's bars and clubs earplugs were provided in the room in case of noise but in my case weren't needed. The bed was very soft. The shower was nice and spacious. The staff were very friendly and it was lovely to be greeted with a smile by the gentlemen at the desk.

The only thing that wasn't as great (and I'm nitpicking here) was that the water pressure in the shower wasn't the best but that could be due to it being an older building or the busy area. I was still able to have a satisfactory shower.

Our 5th year of staying at tye Amsterdam for the mod weekend. We booked the basement room as we always do and we're pleasantly suprised to have been upgraded to a sea view room. Really spacious .

We were offered room service on our first day but we were getting ready to out so we declined...but there was no further room service after that...so we ran out of tea and coffee and we had to remove our own rubbish...would have appreciated room service fir the other two days.

We had a room with a balcony overlooking the sea. We could see the pier. It was amazing. The staff were all super friendly, always asking if everything was OK. The bar was amazing too. Lovely and friendly.

The room itself was small, which wasn't the issue. The bed frame was too big for the mattress and made of solid wood. I spent the entire weekend smashing my legs on the corners. The parking isn't great. We were extremely lucky to find a spot on the side road, but didn't dare move the car during the weekend as we'd never have found another spot. We didn't mind but there is an underground club next door. We could hear the base all night which didn't bother us. The hotel next door has balconies and we were woken by people singing (badly) from their balcony. The Amsterdam hotel doesn't do breakfast. Which is a shame but there are cafes within walking distance.

- We was staying here due to it being my girlfriends birthday and I informed the hotel of this and they went above and beyond to ensure our room was nicely decorated with petal’s on the bed which we thought was a really really lovely thing to do. - The reception always had a member of staff present for all your requirements.

- The parking permit cost £8 which I think as your staying at the hotel could be given free of charge. - The bar & club below at night can get noisy, however, the hotel provided ear buds so as long as your happy to sleep with ear buds in this wasn’t an issue for us.
