Square Townhouse

Staff very welcoming. Room very clean and comfortable with useful mini fridge and tea, coffee, cookies fresh milk, plus free bottles of still & sparkling water in the fridge. Facility to top up water and beverages near reception. Had chaise longue in my room by the window with view to the sea. Bed very comfortable. Spacious bathroom with monsoon shower and lovely deep bath. Plenty of power sockets in room. It was quite warm during my stay so there was a floor standing fan which was very effective. Good choice for breakfast and decent portion size. Very tasty too!

Loved the Square Townhouse. Our room was fantastic, really luxurious and light with a huge bay window with a great view of the sea - easily within walking distance to the pier or the lanes/Pavilion although I'd have been quite happy to lounge on the chaise, watching the comings and goings in the square. The bathroom was spacious with the added bonus of a roll-top bath. Much needed after the un-seasonally cold and damp weather! The staff were lovely and so helpful. We were made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived. We had breakfast one morning which was really good. Fresh ingredients and a good selection on the menu to choose from. All in all, a really enjoyable stay and hope to be able to visit again.

Only one very slight niggle, with the weather being quite windy, we could hear a door slamming elsewhere in the building from fairly early in the morning. Maybe more noticeable then as everything else was so quiet.

Wonderful place to stay, run by lovely staff. The entire hotel was very clean and our room was very comfortable. Modern facilities and nicely decorated areas and rooms - not just bland chain hotel designs. Free distilled/filtered water - still and sparkling - available on tap from a communal area is v handy. Great location so you can walk to town / the beach very easily.

No major issues. Some things that stood out though were: - The sound insulation doesn't seem to be the best as we could hear people passing by in the hallway and those in the room next door but no one was a nuisance or overly loud. It's a nice hotel which attracts respectful clientele. - The sinks weren't great as they very easily splash water everywhere - around the sink and onto the floor. - Some instructions on how to use the Japanese bathtub would also be handy as it's just operated by one button and a light that changes colour with no clear indication what it means!

On arrival our welcome was outstanding, the location to Brighton centre is an easy 10 minute walk away and only 1 minute to the beach. Breakfast was excellent with great variety. I would strongly recommend staying at this hotel and I and my friends would stay again when in Brighton. The hotel art and sculptures are very chic and make the hotel very different in a good way.

Parking can be a challenge but we were lucky and managed to park in the square..... so not that negative

We love Brighton and visit 3-4 times a year, totally saddened that we have never come across Square Townhouse before. This place is amazing. So much so, I've already booked another stay for my hubbies birthday in March Rooms are cosy, very modern, and very clean. Love that you are able to top up your own bottles of water, which is readily available for guests. Great well stocked residents bar. Breakfast was delicious. Staff, very friendly. Perfect location, with great bars and restaurants all within walking distance. Highly recommend Square Townhouse.

The first thing I need to comment on is the staff, James and Hugo ably led front of house with warm, unobtrusive and informative service. We couldn’t have been better welcomed or looked after. The property is in a great location and has a huge attention to detail in the decor. Beautifully maintained and furnished to a really high standard, the Japanese or roll top baths in room are a really luxurious touch. Finally the food and cocktails are outstanding. Wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend! Fabulous stay

We booked the Bubble Suite for our anniversary. Every area of the townhouse was curated and beautifully decorated. Our suite was gorgeous, at the top floor, with a balcony and view from both sides. The details of the room made all the difference and the furniture made the room very upscale. Clean and provided all the necessities. The location was perfect 20mins walking away from the central station and many shops, cafes and restaurants around. Just a breath a way from the seafront. The staff was friendly and very accommodating and service was perfect. We ordered room service breakfast, which was very tasty and fresh. Definitely recommend and would go back again.

Well situated and very easy to walk to everywhere we needed to. the property was very clean, modern and everything was great quality. Everything we needed was provided and then some. Excellent breakfast, Lots of lovely little extra touches to make it special and the staff there are incredibly helpful and made us feel so welcome. We will definitely return incredibly happy about choosing to stay here.

nothing to not like

The interior design in the entire hotel was exceptional, the attention to detail in the building and rooms was second to none. The owner and staff are warm, welcoming, informative and incredibly helpful. They made our stay at the hotel one to remember. All our needs and requests were met to the finest detail. I planned a romantic surprise for my partner and was helped from start to finish by James and Marcus to make sure she was overwhelmed with her room and stay. I highly recommend a stay here at Square Townhouse.

There is nothing we did not like.

This hotel is excellent. I stayed in the snug; it was so comfortable and cosy. The hotel staff were immensely kind and helpful. Special thanks to Marcus on reception who literally went "above and beyond". Decoration and furnishing were elegant and inviting throughout. And everything was spotlessly clean. My room had a mini fridge which is so rare these days. I stayed for two nights and, rather (as if often the case), asking the staff to clean my room, they offered me a 'refresh' without any prompting. This service was available up until 4pm on the Sunday that I stayed. What a lovely touch. And the refresh itself was very impressive indeed.

The only minor nigglesI had were that there was no storage space in the bathroom for my toiletries. And also, whilst the sink was very trendy, the downside was there no plug. Which made trying to shave a bit difficult. Also, my room fob was a bit unpredictable and twice stopped working meaning I couldn't get into my room. However, on both occasions, the lovely reception staff were on hand to quickly sort that out. It did make me a little anxious about being entirely locked out of the hotel when I came back late on Sunday night when there is no night reception staff; but thankfully all is well.
