That there was a lift. So many places of accommodations just do not have any access to rooms on different floor levels without stairs. Not useful where heavy luggage is concerned. At all. That there was a bath along with available shower. There is nothing like lying back and soaking in water. Which a shower takes away from having. Was en-suite. A shared bathroom is not what a traveller finds suitable. Nothing more inconvenient than traipsing around in the middle of the night in your nightclothes and bumping into strangers in accommodation corridors.when you need to go to the bathroom.

That there was a fault with the cold water tap in the room I was in. There was only a trickle came out after much twisting where none was coming out. I persevered and twisted some more to get the trickle. That was the sink.The cold water tap on the bath I could not fit my hand round at all as it was too close to the wall. Hot water was scalding hot. I had to run the bath early cos of the cold tap issue. And gave a cooling down period before I could use the water.

We had an evening meal which was lovely. Also breakfast was lovely but expensive. I paid the same price for a continental breakfast as a cooked breakfast. We also discovered you could have a cooked breakfast in the town for half the price we were charged.

Being right opposite the fish factory and harbour. We were woken with the noise of seagulls. Maybe invest in double glazing may help.

Located on the Harbour Road within walking distance to the town centre and various walks to places beside the sea for dolphin watching. I had a fantastic view of the sea and was able to watch the boats arriving and leaving the harbour. The car park was easy access right outside the Hotel. Staff were extremely nice and helpful with a request I had .The food in the restaurant was tasty and a decent portion served promptly. I would definitely stay again.

Clearly in need of updating showers and hot and cold taps but at the price of a room and the fabulous view its value for money.

Clean room and comfy bed. Really friendly staff Helped that this hotel had an elevator so there is no need to carry heavy bags up the stairs. We stayed for a local event so the hotel is perfect to use as a base.

The lock on our door broke and we couldn’t get out our room :/ Thankfully the wifi was great and we were able to access a video on YouTube showing us how to open a door with a metal coat hanger.

I love that the property is facing the sea, high rooms giving you such a beautiful view of the sea - amazing view to wake up to in the morning.

overall the hotel was fantastic, great staff, very friendly, well organised, the only small let down for me is the bathroom is a few years behind in terms of decor, and the base of the bed would need replacing.

The staff were so friendly and accommodating nothing was to much trouble The food was delicious The bed was very very comfortable The wee girl that was out waitress both night was exceptional so polite and friendly

There was no where to hang our clothes or jackets

The hotel is in need of a bit of a refurb these days but I was staying for work in the area so for £50 you can’t complain. The room was very clean and comfortable and had a view over the Moray Firth The breakfast was awesome, with haggis alongside the usual offerings. Overall a decent stay

The hot water went off in the morning but these things happen and the staff did their best

Warm welcome from the manager and one other member of staff on arrival. Really apologetic no food or drink available due to no staff, pointed us in the right direction. Second nights stay was great, lovely food and brilliant girls working the bar all night. They were great. Overall a lovely place with great staff, we would go back again.

No staff to cover the food or bar the night we arrived so no food or drinks on the premises, had to find somewhere else to eat. Couple of annoying points. Once hot tap was turned on in the bathroom we couldn't switch it off properly and the shower constantly dripped. Other than that could do with a little tidying up but due to covid closing everywhere it was descent enough.

The service provided at dinner and the quality of the steak pie were outstandingly good. We had a fairly standard continental breakfast that was perfectly adequate without being anything special. Quite a few items had not been put out or needed replacing but this was done straight-away when we asked. We had previously asked if our bikes could be kept secure overnight so the hotel provided an internal room where they would be secure.

Nothing. This was a fairly cheap hotel that provided a perfectly good room and a meal that was outstandingly good so it definitely passes the would I go there again test.

Warm, comfortable, and spacious. Readily available hot water. Comfortable bed. Good location for our needs. Affordable food and plenty of it. Bar prices were reasonable. Homely staff.

Ancient-looking bath and basin tapes were hard to turn on and harder to turn off and they dripped. Noisy plumbing. No desk light.
