Considering we arrived in the dark and checked in at 17.30, leaving at 9.00 the next day the first impressions were great. And that is all they can be. However, the next time I am in the area I will definitely give it another try. It looks like a lovely place to spend some time. My mum was impressed, and she is a pain in the derrière!

The fact that there was a surcharge for single occupancy. Also, there was no disabled access, although this is an old building so difficult to achieve. My mum has limited mobility, and whilst she managed the stairs, she wouldn’t want to do it too many times.

What a wonderful hotel in beautiful surroundings….my husband and I stayed for one night and everything you would need for a comfortable stay had been provided for. The hotel and all its rooms have been elegantly decorated and there is an air of tranquility throughout. The staff are most helpful and friendly. We will definitely stay again, Thankyou

I wished we hadn’t had such a big lunchtime meal because I’d have booked an evening meal for us, the menu looked very tempting!

The rooms were beautifully furnished and wonderfully laid out with plenty of plugs for hair dryers/chargers etc, mirrors positioned in the right places, seating and a really comfy bed. Breakfast was fab and the outside seating area was so inviting and well kept. Our little dog was so well looked after and made to feel really welcome. The staff were really friendly and helpful with every little request.

The building and grounds are just outstanding, love and attention in abundance. The food is first class. The owners and staff are brilliant. The owners commmunicated with us as soon as the booking was made even going that extra mile and offering to prepare us some food knowing that we had a long journey and would arrive outside of meal times. I will definitely ask to stay again if we visit the area.

I liked that it was quiet, the view from the bedroom and the feather pillows. The room was equipped with what I needed. The water pressure was great.

There didn’t seem to be anyone about in the evening otherwise I would have quite happily taken a cheese board or dessert and a drink before bed, the bar was just there to tease. My room was very hot, only one of the sash windows opened and I just left it open throughout the stay. The mattress was not very comfortable, I was expecting better having read their website.

The accommodation was excellent. A very comfortable bed and a well equipped bathroom and towels etc. We arrived in the middle of a meal time and but we were able to be served. The food was good.

I did struggle with the shower controls. There are two shower heads and that are controlled individually. After being doused with cold water I soon realised what did what.

Absolutely stunning views, staff, rooms. So clean, staff couldn’t do enough for us. It was luxurious and we will definately be recommending up north and hope to visit again in the near future. Thank you so much for all your hard work.

Clean, friendly, stylish and good service accommodating my late arrival.

The security flood light out the front kept getting tripped by the branches moving on the tree in the wind which shone into the room at night even with the curtains closed. Only a minor detail but a little annoying.

Every element of the stay was superb, from comfort to cleanliness to the quality to the furnishing to the staff. Excellent value for money and superb food. I wished I lived local to the Hall to eat at the restaurant or return for a breakfast. The pictures do not do it justice

The room was lovely and well sized. the bed was very comfortable. I didn't hang around as i had a dinner date so I am unsure of the quality of the WIFI etc... The breakfast was served in the conservatory which may have been a little chilly for some but was fine for me. it was excellent along with the coffee and juice.
