Plenty of spacious free parking off road for hotel guests. The ensuite was lovely with a large walk in shower PLUS a full sized bath, a bidet and toilet. Non slip mats provided for both the showers and the bath. Bedroom spacious, and quiet. Excellent location close to city centre and the railway station. Good that we had the option of using a the full dining room or getting smaller snacks in the bar. It had an elevator suitable for wheel chairs. We made good use of the free wifi. All the staff without exception were pleasant, and helpful and courteous.

A tiny niggle but in a bedroom for two people why only one chair?

We were staying in the new building part of the hotel which was lovely and clean (as new), but no room service available as not in main part of hotel… didn’t get the choice when booking

You pay an extra £9.00 to park, but there are no guarantees there will be a space for you when you arrive or when you leave the car park and return. Also had breakfast (not pre booked), food absolutely lovely… but had to wait over half hour for food and there needs to be a bit more direction from the staff in the restaurant as customers were having to ask what to do rather than being informed of the process from the waiting staff.

Nice breakfast, clean room. Personnel are very friendly and would help with anything. Dinner was also nice and the location of the hotel is perfect for going out and having something else for dinner.

The small house was not too well constructed as you can hear everything around you. Especially in a hotel it should be standard to have noise isolated rooms so you won't bother about other people. Another downside was the small bathroom which would not dry out during the day because there is no heating. But these issues seem to be persistent throughout Britain.

Location is excellent, walking distance to city centre. Rooms are small but well laid out. Beds and pillows were excellent. Staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. We didn't have breakfast but one meal which was nice. The restaurant, bar and outside terrace has a lovely atmosphere.

A bit noisy on the Friday night but I suppose that is to be expected. On the whole staff were excellent but the room supplies could have been better, there was only one hand towel and one bath towel for 2 of us so we had to ask for more. Toilet roll wasn't replaced and bin not emptied when the cleaner had been. Parking is too expensive at £9 per day!

Good position for the town centre and station. Public areas well kept. Attractive restaurant and bar and small courtyard outside seating area. Our room was clean with nice extras such as a fan, safe, iron and ironing board. Really large good quality bath towels.

Absolutely hate shower curtains in the bathroom Impossible to keep clean Breakfast a big disappointment signs in reception saying it had won awards, but hot items took an age to be replaced and then half the items were only warm. No choice of eggs only fried which were poor. Staff very apologetic but didn’t enjoy our breakfast experience

The friendliness of the staff was outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble. Even my arriving ridiculously early did not pose a problem and one of the housekeeping team even took my case up to the room until it was cleaned for me. The restaurant manager spoke to me personally about my dietary needs and took care of everything for me. The room was excellent. Coffee, tea and biscuit refills every day and superbly clean. My heartfelt thanks to all the staff there who even helped me to take care of some personal things when I didn't know where else to turn.

Everything was perfect and in my opinion, there are no improvements to be made.

The helpful and friendly staff. There was always someone to answer questions and offer help. My luggage was collected from my room at the requested time and left securely at reception until I was ready to check out.

I had a single room which was a good size with a double bed but due to the sloping ceiling it was difficult to use all the facilities. The coffee etc was in a corner and I could only reach it with difficulty. There was no bedside table - I had to use the chair

We requested a quiet room which we got, the room wasnt over big but we expected that.The breakfast was lovely and the location was very handy for the town and only a 3 minute walk to the theatre (why we stayed at this hotel). I have worked in the hotel industry and i was so pleased to see clean, sparkly crockery and cutlery it made a nice change to eat from things that looked washed and new.

The fact that we had to pay for the hotel car park i thought was a bit strange.Even though it was only £9.00 for the night.

Good central location with free parking, welcoming and friendly staff who were always helpful. a small but interesting a varied restaurant menu served in a pleasant part of the hotel

The room was in need of modernisation and maintenance. The bar area was in need of a major refresh to improve ambiance and comfort. in my case also the room suffered from noise from guest traffic

When we first arrived , our room had not been cleaned and as a first impression , it was not very good , but fair play to the hotel , they instantly upgraded us to a lovely suite at no extra cost, very nice and roomy, the facilities are excellent and the location is exactly right , I would thouraly recommend this hotel to anyone
