The rooms were clean and tidy, most of the staff in the hotel were amazing and very knowledgeable about the area and the services provided, as well as being friendly and helpful.

One or two members of staff were not as helpful as others on several occasions, however this was only once or twice. There needed to be more dairy free options when it came to breakfast and other meals as I had to bring my own milk and butter with me as I am Lactose intolerant and there was no butter alternative provided (I brought my own oat milk as there was only soya milk available and I don't like soya milk).

The room was clean. The toiletries smelt nice. When I asked for some more decaff coffee there was no problems. The breakfast was also very good. I have a continental but my husband tried the full English and said it was well done.

My bed was uncomfortable. It had a topper on the mattress, but i still rolled into the middle. Also there were no hand towels in the room. I thought this was an error so asked at reception for some. Only to be told since covid they were no longer supplied. Well I am sorry but it seems a money saving exercise to me. What has Covid got to do with it. Hopefully towels are washed between guests. The rooms look a bit tired and scruffy.

The room was a good size. The bed was very clean and comfortable. I slept very well. I didn't have breakfast . The bathroom was also a good size and the shower always had hot water. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A good place to stay for visiting and exploring the area .

The carpet was very worn and not very clean. Not enough drawers for storage. Although I slept very well I was woken several times late at night or very early in the morning with doors banging and people talking loudly.Not sure what can be done to improve this problem.

Variety of food at the breakfast time, friendly and helpful staff, the bed is firm and comfortable and clean, the lift is very useful and in a working order, the whole atmosphere feels welcoming and homely.

It would be nice if practicably possible for the hotel to provide some sort of lunch and dinner at the hotel's restaurant. I know that the Harvester is handy but it would have been more convenience to eat at the hotel's restaurant. It would be nice also to see a bowl of welcoming sweets in the reception area. loll.

It was out of the way of any hustle and bustle but still had enough around that you could get what you needed and a little journey to other eateries.

There is no local shops so if you need any extras you had to travel at least 2/3 miles to get things. There was hair in the bed that didn’t belong to us, coffee stains on the extra pillow bags and the cleaners in the morning, used a wet finger to stick the toilet roll back to itself. The window seal was torn so outside noise could be heard and we had to have the heating on full blast constantly to compensate for the cold breeze coming through the window. (I did get around this by using a cardboard box to block the hole and we put the curtains on the window sill to stop as much of the cold air as we could)

Great location with friendly staff. Breakfast facilities that we were not aware of. Great firm bed. Initially on the 2nd floor. As I'm disabled they moved me to a ground floor room.

So glad about the room move as the lift broke down. Unfortunate I know. My only gripe is the disabled parking on our both nights after returning from meeting families and a funeral all spots were full. The 1st night no Blue Badges present and on the 2nd night only 2 were showing blue badges. Forcing me to park halfway up the car park.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good but we went across to the Harvester just across the car park for dinner as the Ibis evening menu was a bit limited. The bed was comfortable and the room was adequate for our one night stay.

What I can't understand is why, in a double room booked for two people, only one chair is provided (and the one in our room was plastic and not greatly comfortable) which means you either sit or lie on the bed, or stand up, It seems that quite a few hotels adopt this pattern. Why?

The rooms were simple and comfortable and very helpful as we were at a wedding and wouldn’t make it to check in till after midnight. The gentleman working the night shift from 10pm 06.08.23 till 4am on 07.08.23 was very helpful and accommodating as we all came in a little drunk from the wedding and he opened up the kitchen to make us something to eat which was very much needed and appreciated. He was very helpful and polite, I would definitely stay again.

Receptionist was so lovely, full of smiles and very welcoming. Room was large, bed was comfy, good size TV, even had a hairdryer and tea making facilities. Bathroom was equipped with a decent large shower, a basic handy toiletries (hand soap, shampoo and body wash). I requested for extra pillows and towels, this request was met (thank you). 10/10 for cleanliness.

Was a little noisy in the late evening with people coming in / out of their rooms. But this was easily ignorable when I settled down in bed with the TV on.

Friendly staff, welcoming, reasonable sized room with good facilities extra pillows available in the room, plenty of towels in the bathroom etc. Great location 1 min off the m1 j30. Perfect as we was attending a wedding at the van dyke 2 miles away. Hotel receptionist gave us a list of local taxi companies we could use which was great. Breakfast was adequate typical fare. There is a harvester pub with fantastic food adjoined to the car park, also mcdonalds and Costa coffee too.

Bed was very squeaky but comfortable, room was very warm - too warm for us, some temp controls or a fan would have been welcome. Opening the window cooled the room sufficiently but we were woken up very early with noise of a lorry picking up bins and hotel laundry banging and clattering for over half an hour at 6.30am as we had a room at the back of the hotel, more of an annoyance than a really bad point. Not great though when hungover from the night before.....
